MOO, when Lori "vanished" in early 2019, it was because she knew that 1-Charles was seeking an involuntary mental health hold for her, and 2-She would be served with divorce papers. I'll have to find it in MSM again, but she DID try to check JJ out of school the day she left, but Charles, suspecting what was happening, had already checked him out. Tylee was with her, though.
The Feel the Fire podcast description for the episode released 2/14/09 (don't know when it was recorded, but would assume sometime between the release of the last episode on 2/8/19 and this release) includes this: "We missed Lori's grounded conviction this week as she was out on assignment." She wasn't available in Arizona to do the podcast. It also says this, "The group mentions a new Preparing a People Event that Melanie and Lori will attend in Boise will be Feb. 15-16." And Charles thought that's where she was that weekend, so attempts were made to serve the divorce papers there. But she couldn't be found. That's because she had run off to her favorite paradise during that time, I've heard. Per the article about the fight between her and Alex, and the article about trying to serve the papers, she stayed with him in San Tan Valley during part of her "disappeared" time.
This is the rental history for the home I believe is the one Charles and Lori were living in when the disappearance/divorce filing went down (2267 E Tomahawk in Gilbert), after which Charles moved to Houston and Lori stayed who knows where...with her parents?, or Alex?, until Charles rented the home for them in June 2019 where he was later killed.

He had a rental car because Lori took his truck and all his money and destroyed his credit. How is he supposed to buy another vehicle? Moo.I can only find the move from Chandler, AZ to Texas in March 2019.
- If he dropped the divorce March 1, why did he move back to Texas?
- Why was he in a rental car on July 11?
- Maybe he didn’t move back - maybe he was just footing the bills....
- Did the landlord see him living there?
Does anyone else wonder if Lori has been getting tipped off from friend in AZ law enforcement, who may or may not have assisted in the lack of investigation into Charles's death? She's seems to be rather hard to pin down to serve papers/ search warrants/ etc... just my own musings and opinions... I don't know who the contact would be, would be curious to cross reference staff / police force and members of PAP and AVOW... if such a thing is possible.
once again, just idle musings and opinion.
Has anyone ever determined where Lori actually was from January 2019-March 2019 when she was missing:
Lori vanished for 58 days. Charles had no idea where she was. (Post Register - Documents detail what led up to the Vallows' divorce filing)
It was when she returned that Charles withdrew his divorce filing.
Questions:
Where was she?
What made Charles think she wanted to reconcile?
Was there a motive or plan on her part to feign reconciliation?
I think I read somewhere that her friend said she didn’t want to get divorced again. I would imagine that all these failed marriages weighted on her emotional state. Finding Chad as her soulmate may have send her into a delusional tailspin.
It would be helpful to know if the police found Tylee truthful when they spoke to her at the Vallow crime scene.
No. It's been discussed previously, but Alex and Lori have at least a couple other siblings whose names I don't remember off the top of my head. One, a sister who died in the late 90s ('99, I think) is Melanie's mother. The other, another brother unless I'm getting confused, is a DJ IIRC. I'm positive about Melanie's mother being a sibling of Alex and Lori who is deceased.
MOO
Another poster mentioned this, maybe FridayFan?, that the burden of proof is high for a Stand your Ground Law/self defense case. LE most likely needed to gather more evidence/interviews before they could charge. I'm sure Lori and Alex were not cooperative and maybe this is also why Tylee decided to move to Idaho. We saw in the article about Lori/Charles divorce, how difficult it was for Charles just to have Lori served divorce papers.
Here's a list of the movements we may know about based on reporting/GH youtube, etc:
Alex stayed with Lori after the shooting for a few days according to neighbors
Alex left the country after shooting (supposedly Columbia) GH Youtube
Moved with Lori to Rexburg in early Sept.
Drove to AZ to shoot at Brandon in late Sept./early October
Went back to Rexburg (I'm assuming he was the masked "paintball" gun guy) Mid October
Went to Vegas to marry new wife (she lives in AZ, so maybe he drives to AZ? or she meets him in Vegas?) Late Nov.
Back to AZ to live with new wife, Early Dec.
LE wouldn't know that Alex had new wife and was staying there. They probably were just keeping an eye on his San Tan Valley house, or maybe even thought Alex was still in Idaho in December. LE definitely should have done a better job the day of the shooting, MOO
edit: Just realized the "custody dispute" is probably what you tell people, instead of "murder investigation"
I don't believe he hung around for any charging decision. Now he is dead it is not going to happen obviously unless their evidence shows it wasn't him. MOO.Alex wasn't charged. Did the prosecutor believe self defense or did the prosecutor just decide not to bring charges? (It's a gray area and we don't know one way or the other) All I know is if the prosecutor decided to charge, it sets the wheels in motion. Alex would be required to have a trial. If found Not Guilty, he could not be charged again. Prosecutors can choose not to charge because it keeps their options open.

I’ve wondered if she had a connection. I’ve noticed distant connections personally. But more importantly, I’ve not read that she was not available to be served a warrant? Would that be searchable?Does anyone else wonder if Lori has been getting tipped off from friend in AZ law enforcement, who may or may not have assisted in the lack of investigation into Charles's death? No he is her uncle. ( Her mother was LV/AC sister who died of a diabetic seizure. AC allegedly used her credit card after her death.)"Melani Boudreaux" is listed as "Lori Vallow's""niece"", does that mean that Alex Cox is her father? Is that why they were in Las Vegas together, and were married within a day of each other?
