ETA - Actually, I did meet with the last set at the local pizza place. Bought a pizza for us to share. And still...never heard back. But like the one person mentioned above, I let them know my intention is not to join their church but to study what God’s word says about who Christ is (as is evident from my username). I let them know if they are ever interested in studying more of the Bible, please call me. I haven’t had any call back and I’ve met with 4 sets so far.

IMO the reasons LV May have had the birth certificates are for opening up accounts for her children... If her kids were getting benefits from their deceased parents which we all assume they were ... all a parent or guardian needs is their birth certificate as form of their identification to open up account. This is of course my own opinion ...

So this is a banking question...any bankers out there??

I at first was thinking their birth certificates would be needed for her to open Hawaiian bank accounts "in their name(s.)"

But now I'm thinking that Lori would be the SS representative payee for each of them, and so she would be the custodial account holder for both accounts. She would be the only one who could withdraw funds that would effectively be held by her in trust for them. In that case, the children are unable to access the accounts. In other words, the accounts are not really "in their name." So.....would their id (in this case, a Birth Cert) even be needed...or just Lori's?

I think they meant Melanie... there are two women with the same name, different spellings. MG is a fellow podcaster and is cooperating with LE. MB is Lori's niece, and I haven't seen anything personally that says she's cooperating.

Yes and this is supposedly what Melani's husband told LE. Evan more important is that Melani's ex BB, believes Melani knows the location of Tylee and Jj. I have always thought that possible and hope it is true.

I just don't get how "prepping" in the way I understand it ( year's supply, rainwater harvesting, solar/offgrid, etc) or sheltering in place reconciles with Chad and Lori's "vision" of leading people to flee into the mountains..would the followers just leave everything they've stockpiled behind? Is there supposedly an existing place with all these supplies just waiting for Chad and Lori once they get back from their tropical vacation? I haven't read Chad's books though,so I guess I just don't get it, but none of it seems at all logical or practical in the sense that normal people stocking up for emergencies would be. Moo.

Quite a few threads back someone posted some of chads book stuff. I can't remember which book it was from, but he mentioned two places that would be good to wait it out. I posted the names of them somewhere along with the fact that both places were a straight shot south of Rexburg. I can only remember something like SoldierSummit and something Canyon. He noted in his book that he was driving when he realized these two places were good because tanks couldn't get to them.

Personally, I think Chad is way past the guilt phase and fully involved in this evil plan. I think maybe a face to face with his missionary son might do something, but I don’t think the son would do it. I think Chad is way past sorry. MOO

Yes we are Christians and we do believe in the Bible, but often our understanding of the same passages is different. With the 144k situation - we do not believe (like the JW's) that ONLY 144k people will be "saved" from tribulations to come - We do believe the 144k mentioned in the Book of Revelation at the end of the New Testament is about a last great missionary force to gather all the good people of the earth, whether LDS or not. that's the most recent understanding of that passage. So we simply believe something different about them. The status of being one of the 144k seems to be something Chad and Lori and maybe others have misunderstood in order to feel more important than others.

IMO, Lori's endgame was always: beach life in Kauai.

She killed Charles to get the insurance money to live the dream. That didn't we work as expected because he'd changed his beneficiary.

So she had to reexamine her options. She charmed Chad we with her rapt interest in his visions, and slow-played him to get access to his wife's life insurance money to facilitate the Kauai dream. Love, for her at least, had nothing to do with any of it.

Her only constant and abiding love is for Kauai.

So BB has life insurance worth $1M according to his latest court papers? Hopefully, the only beneficiaries on it now are his four kids. I think it's really great that he has been so vocal on what his ex-wife (Lori's niece) has been up to. I do feel for him as it looks like he has a good business and I am sure all of this has taken a toll on it.

Add to that .. Chad called MG and asked her to lie about having JJ with her... he can't possibly do that if he doesn't know JJ exists. Chad's a liar. Lori's a liar. When two liars who have mental issues (obviously) get together, it's like 2 addicts feeding off one another. I listened to someone commenting about the case who mentioned the concept that both of them removed their voices of reason in their lives and instead they wanted to be together to feed each other's fantasies. This is a theory I find remarkably credible given what we've seen and suspect. MOO

Excellent point. From what we've heard about the prior spouses of each (along with what we know about BB as MB's ex-spouse) it seems like the former spouses would have tended to keep them more grounded in reality, but put them together and things escalate downhill fast.
