No worries, I get it! It's been keeping me and I'm sure many of us awake at night - cant imagine the innocent parties involved- hope and pray they can have some answers, peace and rest very very soon!
Definitely, if it’s doing this to us...I dread to think what KW and LW are going through. MOO

Interesting! Is he not going to stay and support Lori? Has Chad "felt prompted" to flee before possibly similar charges are filed against him? How is he not already charged with resisting and obstructing officers and criminal solicitation? Those are 2 of Lori's charges for lying about the whereabouts of JJ and for calling MG and asking her to lie to police about having JJ. Chad did the same things according to Lori's charging docs. I hope he's not able to flee to another country.

MOO.
I am not sure about this and maybe someone can clarify? Was Chad not brought in for interrogation at all when Lori was arrested? He just watched as she got whisked away? I guess if only Idaho has the need to question him then that would make sense since he's not done anything chargeable in Hawaii - other than those jeans he wears.

We know LV doesn’t have a passport. Do we know if CD does? That’s a real concern and needs looking at IMO

MISSING KIDS: Are the kids okay? “I can’t comment.” #LoriVallow husband Spoke to us for 1st time since case broke. He added “Just grateful for any support. We just have to wait for the legal process to work through.” I asked again if the kids are okay? “I have to go. No comment.”

That’s interesting...he’s actually spoken now he hasn’t got LV by his side. Who’s supporting him though? MOO

I'm not picking on you, just selecting one of many possible posts on the topic to address the question. Where is this source coming from that Chad and Lori are/were sealed in a temple? Or is it just speculation and rumor?

Personally I believe this whole temple thing is way off base and completely the wrong direction to be looking. And as evidence I point simply to their beach wedding - which is on record and we have proof of.

Consider this. If somehow Chad and Lori were able to procure a temple sealing (and it's a huge if, but let's entertain it for a moment), and they truly believed they were now sealed together, then why in the world would they then go and have a beach wedding? It simply wouldn't make sense. No, the fact that they had a beach wedding is evidence that they couldn't and didn't have a temple wedding/sealing prior. And the fact that they've been on Kauai or Maui since their beach wedding is evidence they haven't had a temple sealing since then.

In addition, all photographic evidence depicting her modesty standards suggests Lori is not an endowed member of the Church, or if she is she's not living up to her covenants. Which means she wouldn't be able to enter a temple anyhow. MOO.

Well the sealing is different from a marriage. Both would be needed.

A marriage is legally binding, at least among us mere mortals. A sealing would not be legal.

I imagine that we are speculating how this may come into play with CV and LVD's followers. My guess is that they are trying to gain a following, of course we could all be way off base here. MOO

"That's Great" so his place is for rent?!
Portiz! Call the agent and ask for a showing, tell them some WS friends are coming to town and need a place to stay!!

While you are there discretely spray paint "Where are the kids Chad?" on all the walls.

Now, that would be interesting if Chad runs for the border and leaves Lori.

BBM. I notice some temples rent clothes. Could she just rent something appropriate?
Sure, it's possible. However, what I was getting at is that in many of the pictures we see of Lori in day to day attire (not wedding pictures) she is clearly not meeting Church standards, let alone temple standards. For example, we teach our youth (BBM):

"Immodest clothing is any clothing that is tight, sheer, or revealing in any other manner. Young women should avoid short shorts and short skirts, shirts that do not cover the stomach, and clothing that does not cover the shoulders or is low-cut in the front or the back."

Dress and Appearance

Lori's dress does not abide by these standards. Furthermore, when a member enters the temple and receives their endowment they also commit to wearing temple garments for the rest of their lives. These sacred garments are to be worn under one's clothing and should be covered. In regards to this higher standard of clothing and modesty the Church teaches:

"Members who have received their temple ordinances thereafter wear the special garment or underclothing. ...

The garment represents sacred covenants. It fosters modesty and becomes a shield and protection to the wearer.

The wearing of such a garment does not prevent members from dressing in the fashionable clothing generally worn in the nations of the world. Only clothing that is immodest or extreme in style would be incompatible with wearing the garment. Any member of the Church, whether he or she has been to the temple or not, would in proper spirit want to avoid extreme or revealing fashions."

Preparing to Enter the Holy Temple

What Lori often chooses to wear is incompatible with this standard and reveals that she either hasn't been to the temple yet to receive her ordinances therein, or, if she has, that she's not living up to the standards required by not wearing garments and clothing sufficiently modest to cover said garments.

I would not be the least bit surprised if he runs or even takes his own life. He's kind of dangling there with no one to boost him up with their mutual ridiculous theories on their beliefs.

Press Secretary for Idaho Governor says office has not received request for Lori Vallow’s extradition yet. No timeline set. Hearing is set for Monday 3/2 in Kauai. Process is routine but this case has obviously garnered “overwhelming interest.” #fox10phoenix

Catching up so I apologize if already discussed. MC Prosecutors might be waiting for next court date before showing defense the extradition documents. MOO

Oh i hope not to get in trouble here...but on SM I landed on a pretty amazing "psychic reading" by a Woman named DS, who apparently has had a number of readings on this case. Has anyone else seen it??? Since we are swirling around lots of different ""belief systems" in these recent threads, I thought it might be ok to mention it. just want to say this was a true true emotional experience... Am i allowed to link it???? Here is one comment that was added by a listener after listening to the youtube reading.... There is a Mercury Drive in Island Park, ID which is next to the Henry’s Fork River. Near dog sled races in Ashton as well.

i bet you are right...Bailey didn't like her either. Wish they could bring Bailey to the jail cell to find out.

I give your post two paws up!

Regarding the language of "feeling prompted" to tell someone something:

While I agree (with I think it was LHS) that to have a prospective employer use that sort of terminology would be offputting to many Mormons, it is more the context that is the sticking point rather than the language itself. Most Mormons, I think, tend to separate religious and professional contexts. Thus the employer using this language would be a kind of signal that might scare some LDS people off. (Actually the employer would be transgressing two "boundaries" here, the separation between professional and religious relationships, and the notion that spiritual inspiration should come only in relation to oneself or--in relatively few situations--through one's leaders within the church hierarchical system).

However, for Daybell to be recruiting authors through telling others about the promptings of the spirit seems less of a transgression (at least if one is already willing to believe that God gives random church members visions about important things). Mormons use this kind of "I was prompted to" do something all the time. Our previous church president/prophet was famous for committing to never ignoring a prompting and thus providing service to untold numbers of individuals who needed help just at that moment. Just yesterday in my church meeting, a speaker told of following an unusual prompting to question a friend about his spiritual health; though reluctant, he did. The moral of the story was that his friend returned to full church belief/activity because this person was willing to follow the promptings of the spirit. More generally, it is not unusual to hear stories of people whose lives were greatly blessed when others followed promptings to try to help them in certain kinds of ways.

I think Daybell was still a little more forward than most members would be comfortable with in following the "promptings," but church teaching tends toward encouraging getting past one's own qualms with regard to following promptings rather than being constrained by them. So it's not surprising that at least some LDS members are not put off by these sorts of things.

This is the part that concerns me. What’s going to happen when the world doesn’t end in July? When the second coming doesn’t begin? I get preparedness. I’ve got a larder/pantry and it is well stocked and comes in really handy. But CD/LV and the rest are taking it way too far. What’s going to happen to all those people that have comepletely changes their lives, marriages, sold up and bought all these provisions when the world carries on as normal? MOO
MOO, the way these things usually go is after the end of the world doesn't come the grifters release a statement saying they miscalculated the date based on moon phases and leap years and sun spots, the world will actually end July 20 of 2025. Sorry!! But still happening so keep sending in those checks please.

The story about the dog is heartbreaking but I was considering a possible, more practical reason why the dog had to go away. LV had been asked to move out of the Chandler rental by the landlord after CV was killed. I think whatever plans had been made were accelerated by having to vacate by the end of August. Is it possible the new rental in Idaho was not pet friendly? Just exploring different angles...MOO
The dog was a service dog not a pet. ALL rentals in the US allow service dogs by law. No real exceptions.

Not strange. The purpose of the affidavit is NOT to prove anything. There is zero requirement to prove anything in an affidavit when presenting it for an arrest warrant. Evidence isn't being shown to the judge that signs the warrant.

All that is required is to assert sufficient facts that a reasonable person would believe that it is more likely than not that a specific crime was committed by a specific individual. That is the standard for an arrest warrant.

Proving anything comes later in the process. It isn't necessary to include everything law enforcement knows and law enforcement usually will only include enough to get the warrant. The State has no obligation to turn over every possible rock nor follow every single bread crumb. Also it won't be necessary to prove everything that appeared in the affidavit for the arrest warrant, that is, just because we see any specific fact stated in the affidavit it doesn't mean that same specific fact has to be proven later in court, let alone even mentioned in any further proceeding. And finally, if it turns out after further investigation that any specific fact asserted in the affidavit is no longer true it doesn't necessarily affect the validity of the warrant because the statement of facts are those facts that are believed to be true at the time the affidavit was presented and each and every fact stands alone.
Outstanding post! Clear, concise description of what goes into PC affidavit, how it relates to an arrest warrant and an actual trial. I needed that. Thank you @Jethro4WS

I thought about that actually, but then when it's an actual service or therapy dog, by law, most landlords have to accept the animal. Usually they desire an extra fee, and maybe she didn't want to pay that?
They cannot charge an extra fee
