Personally, I find it very believable. No matter what he's guilty of doing, he spent the last 30 years married with 5 children, so surrounded by family. Involved in church.

He's now pretty much isolated and the object of great disdain. So he's really out of his "natural habitat" so to speak.

I know people that will tell complete strangers their life story.

Unfortunately, LE doesn't know/have enough to make an arrest in attempted murder of BB. Nobody has been arrested or charged for that one.

We don't really know that. Perhaps, LE in all places are in sync with one another, and are honoring a "priority code". I would think that priority #1 is to get Lori back in Idaho.

How and when will Lori Vallow, mother of two missing Rexburg kids, return to Idaho?

Sgt Payne says of her flight back,
“...that would mean having her dress in her plain clothes, not a jail uniform of any kind, generally speaking we board first, a seat at the back of the plane, those types of things.”

“As of Wednesday afternoon, the Madison County Sheriff's Office didn't have any specifics for which flight or path Vallow would be on, but they say that information must be kept private. However, they did reveal that typically in these types of scenarios, they’re looking for the most direct route, with the least amount of layovers.”

I’m quite positive she won’t get all the way across the pacific, from the SLC or Boise airport (if lucky, the Idaho falls airport), and north up highway 20 all the way to Rexburg without one person noticing. Whenever she comes back, the powers of the concerned public, the coconut wireless and the media will unite and the world will probably know. I could be wrong, and it would certainly be “safer” if she is brought back undetected.

I think comparing cults, their beliefs is a very natural progression in discussions with cases like these. I am not sure why this was so offensive, maybe they understood your statement to be comparing LDS to Jim Jones? I took it to mean comparing people/groups who have taken traditional beliefs and twist them to their own radical extreme beliefs, most times for personal gain. Why Lv and CD went rogue is a good question, why did they leave mainstream for these radical beliefs of being transient beings sent to save the world.

Per her obituary, Tammy went to Brigham Young University, where she met Chad. But it doesn't sound like she graduated, because obituary said Chad continued his schooling while Tammy started working to support the family.

This is my thought. Chad went bankrupt once with his business owing $350k. If they run out of money he will just go bankrupt again IMO. We have already heard he wants out of the book business, or so he says. I also wonder if he has a large retirement plan and life insurance himself?

He was basically self-employed running that business. I doubt any retirement plan or life insurance before all this "story" began. These are the issues that make me want to believe there is SOMEONE with big bucks in the background.... for who knows what reason. Hey they are good at offing people, maybe some big bucks person saw an opportunity!! I am truly being sarcastic. a tinge of possibility, but a boat load of sarcasm.

Thanks for your experience, I agree with much of what you say. I don’t want to paint a terrible picture for visitors who would come here, because that is not the case. They may not come into contact with the racial tension in the same way that the local haoles living here do. I do have friends of almost every nationality here, and so it is true that is not the case of all the local people living here. I’ve noticed too that many locals who have moved to the mainland and come back do not have these ignorant beliefs anymore, which is promising for the future.

It is interesting that in my experience,many of the worst offenders are not even Hawaiian but of other local ethnicity. My family members lived in Hana for seven years, which has a very high concentration of native Hawaiians, more so perhaps? Than any other place in the state. I didn’t feel much tension out there and felt a lot of aloha from the local Hawaiians there, as they knew my family member and that we were good people.
I’ve heard many stories about Kahakuloa and actually was mentioning that today. I was talking with a friend about a landlocked piece of property in Waikapu and how trying to get access from your neighbors could be as detrimental as trying to do that in Kahakuloa town. I had a Caucasian friend who married a Hawaiian from Kahakuloa, and she said it took so long for them to even be civil to her Even though her husband was from there and she had children with him.
Hope that someday there’ll be even less of this because each culture can learn from the other and has so much to share

i, for one, am truly appreciating learning a lot about the culture of Hawaii. Not that it is all foreign, but the experiences you all have and the details are enlightening.

Warning. I'm a bit numb still, but I need to share this. There's a reason, keep reading.

I found my elderly next door neighbor dead about 2.5 hours ago. Called 911, the whole natural death scenario. Tip: don't touch anything if you find your neighbor deceased, and have ID ready. You can touch stuff after the coroner declares natural death. Have your ID ready. They need your statement and they will check you out with dispatch.

So. All family is far away. Since I obviously knew her, the police came over afterwards. Here's the important point:

He told me there were body fluids in the house and NONE OF THEM (emts, police, coroner) are allowed to clean at a scene. Guess who cleaned it up? Yes, I followed protocol. I had a nurse help me. No way was i leaving that for the family to walk into.

Remember that cop cleaning up under CV?

Bless your heart! I’m so sorry that happened to you but your neighbor’s family is truly blessed that you cleaned up so they could avoid that disturbing scene.

Every time I’m reminded that the cop mopped up CV’s blood it makes me furious. And I’m mystified as to why no one in the press seems to have questioned that behavior (and reported the officer in question has been disciplined or fired). Has anyone here seen it questioned by MSM?

I think she told Alex that Joe had sexually abused Tylee to wind Alex up so he would assault or even kill JR. It sounds like he was planning it from prison. I wonder if she had even done a similar thing regarding CV to get Alex wound up. MOO.

of course... as I commented earlier... Oldest trick in the books---women who make up abuse charges for gain. It just makes me so angry. It so hurts all Women who truly need to be believed and helped.

As vocal as BB has been about everything, I HIGHLY DOUBT he would have taken these kids into hiding and NOT informed LE. He has been involved with LE and his own private investigator since the get-go of being shot at, and IMHO, has been a if not one of THE driving forces into LE looking into the shenanigans of Lori & Co....

I don't have any inside information to contact the FBI about. BB has stated publicly for months that he has his kids in hiding. I'm just speculating that maybe he included JJ and Tylee for their own safety based on what he knows about the crazy cult.

I can relate to the sons of wanting the watches and here’s why. Since I was a little girl, being the only daughter my mom and I would always look over her jewelry and admire it together and over the years she has given me a number of pieces ... well a few yes ago my brother convinced her to buy a home that he would take care of her in for the rest of her life, and convinced her to put it in his name. He then became verbally abusive to her, she moved out, and then he sold it and absconded with the money. That was bad enough, but I then found out that during the time frame when they were lovey-dovey living together, he got her to pawn most of her jewelry including her wedding ring and now most of her jewelry is also gone. For me it wasn’t the money, it was the sentimental value. My mom had always told me that since I was the only girl she wanted to pass thr Jewelry on to me. So I get it, even if those watches didn’t have much monetary value they perhaps had a lot of sentimental value to the sons, if they admired them together and always saw what new watches dad got, etc.

I am so sorry that happened to you! I too have experienced the ugliness of greed in the family. Almost the same exact story, the son takes advantage of the mother. I think my mom was poisoned because of his greed. And in my grief, I threw out the evidence. But he has to live with that for eternity. It is sooo sad. Was it worth it, buddy? I pray he finds the Lord and repents before he goes. No amount of money is worth destroying relationships.

The woman said he was dropping off donations. He is clearing out. In Utah we have Deseret Industries Thrift Stores. Very common to donate household items, clothing, etc., it’s run by the LDS church and employs tons of people. For Chad, having grown up here, it would be second nature to donate to a religiously affiliated shop.

She Was pumping gas in Paia after work one day and out of the blue this guy at the next pump says “f”ing haole” Because she’s blonde. No other reason, she hadn’t said a word to the guy.

Having been born here she certainly knows how to be respectful. I think your experience is very rare to have never felt any prejudice against you as a Caucasian? Wow

that is just one of many examples, is it like that all the time or from all of the people? No of course not. But to deny that there is racial tension here and it is against whites is just not accurate.

Not “just my opinion”, but actually “just my experience”.

I’ll have to agree with you on the racial tension there. I’ve had military family members who were Caucasian live there and express the exact same thing. They experienced it as well.

I'm acquainted with one on a very limited basis. The other I've never met. My husband knows them. I just know how I'd feel walking into that. She was a nice lady and I'd like for them to not have certain images burned into their hearts. Jmo

Early on in the thread I suggested MG (as they were podcast buddies) might have them and was told it was ridiculous- yet now we hear that Lori asked her to lie to actually say she had them. So did MG ask Lori why she or Chad should lie or even ask her where the kids actually were? How come nobody in her circle is asking and has any answers? Are they scared of Lori and Chad themselves?

Just want to state that this is JMO. I was watching the news this morning and one of the clips they showed of MBP walking out of court (on AZFamily tv, but can't find the exact clip on their website). Could have just been a poor observation on my part, but she looked a tad bit preggo. Her walk and the way her dress moved over the belly area seemed like someone who may be about 4ish months along.
