I'm not convinced of evil intentions. Definitely strange actions. I was the first to say that back in October when I heard the funeral was so soon after her death, and all along the way since then.
How often do people react out of fear. If it was suggested even once that anyone in the family thought Chad killed his beloved Tammy, how would it be expected for him to react? If innocent, I see a man trying to hurry and do the best with what he was given to draw criticism away from himself and his children. If he would have submitted to the calls of autopsy the claim would have been that he was doing it just as a show. Natural causes or poison, if people are out for blood (tell me they're not. Look at the court of Facebook and the court of public opinion in the news), he can't win. If the threats were real, he can't win. Whether he killed her or not, he's a pariah. Everything he says is scrutinized even through the lens of up to a decade of different experiences.
I'm not convinced he killed Tammy or knows the children's whereabouts.
I'm on the same page as you. Even though, I personally don't know Chad.
I believe he is responsible for what has been fact checked, and he will need to face the consequences on his poor choices. I'm waiting to see what happens next.
Like you said, he's between a rock and a hard place. If he is innocent, and had nothing to do with TD and the kids disappearance, he is guilty by association.
His body language reminds me of myself when I get nervous, even if I haven't done anything wrong.
LEO says that he was being cooperative.
When he shook the reporters hand, he may have done so out of nervousness.
I read that he seemed to be genuinely alarmed about the Paintball incident, and the day his wife was found dead it is stated that he appeared to be grieving as one would expect.
So, either he was being genuine, or he is one hell of an actor.
That being said, there are things that seem counter intuitive to me also:
- Marrying LV less than 3 weeks after his wife died.
- This letter that has recently came out. At the very least, it would be a deception to their respective spouses. My gut feeling is that there was some type of affair going on (even if it started off emotionally).
- Lying about knowing Lori well, not having her phone number, etc.
- Asking Melani to lie to the police.
- His body language when Nate attempted to interview him and Lori. It didn't seem nervous at that point in time.
So, I am torn on what to think about Chad.
