Aloha, I haven't read all the threads but I have to say Kauai feels alot better without these guys here, now we just have to worry about the Corona virus! I couldn't watch the court video after a few minutes bc I HATE how she always looks at the camera, smiles, yuck! I liked the leis LW and KW were wearing though:)
So glad you’re still with us on the forum. I know you’re holding one of those signs in spirit

I thought the two had married. If so and the marriage is legitimate, she's likely co-owner of the home and co-owner of that debt.
She wouldn't automatically have ownership of the house. Her name would have to be added to the deed, and the terms of the mortgage may not allow that without paying it off and refinancing.

From the court proceeding yesterday, Justin Lum reported that Chad and Lori share an Idaho residence. Which residence is that? My opinion is that they purchased a home in Island Park, Idaho, an area very dear to CD's heart. It's in Fremont County, close to Rexburg. Prosecutors in HI reported he had $152k in a bank account. That's a lot less than the $430k from TD's life insurance. I think they bought a house. There's some very nice homes in that area that have just sold. And LVD is used to a large home with lots of amenities.

Now they have to wait for his records to get back from Hawaii!

Chad never moved his church records, AFAWK. Lori moved hers to Kauai and didn't move Tylee & JJ's records:

REXBURG — Lori Vallow Daybell stayed busy in the days leading up to her arrest as law enforcement prepared to take her into custody in Kauai.

She and her husband, Chad Daybell, had been living on the island since Dec. 1, according to court documents, and had attended worship services at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But it was only within the past two weeks that Lori officially had her membership record transferred into a new congregation. Local church leaders tell EastIdahoNews.com records of her children, Tylee Ryan and Joshua “JJ” Vallow, were not transferred into the ward, and neither were Chad’s.

Thanks for your thoughts, it may simply be a midlife crisis issue for Chad, but if their motivations truly are more ‘spiritual’ I feel this may end along the lines of a Heaven’s Gate scenario. MOO
Whoa...Heaven's Gate. That is quite the flashback... Interesting how controversial that film was... people hated it ....and then years later it became a classic film. Gotta check Netflix!!

Ok, got it.

But it's not Lori's debt. I still think it could have been mentioned though.
But now they are married is it shared debt especially as this is the "home in Rexburg" mentioned in court presumably?

Can someone remind me where Loris records are?

Wonder if Chad moved his records back to Idaho since that is his ‘residence’.

If I recall, Lori had requested her records be transferred to Kauai. We didn't hear about Chad. Jmo

We were sitting in the backyard of my in-laws in Olivenhain, CA watching the sheriff’s helicopters hovering over the estate of the property where the mass suicide took place. Many moons ago. It was crazy. MOO

This may have been mentioned already as I’m not quite current, but the ‘pitbull in heels’ stated to the judge that LVD’s passport had expired.
Yeah, but did Lori Ryan's passport expire...

I didn't think so. It seemed to me her and CV always rented. Jmo

Plus CV’s Estate is far from settled in TX. It doesn’t look good. Chad has the insurance - what’s been pissed away and the equity in the house (value - mortgage = not much). Seems like they with need support from 3rd parties.

The problem is, Psycho/ Sociopathic Narcissists DO commit suicide, they see this as a way out of facing any consequences for their actions, and have a complete disregard for the family and friends who love them and would be deeply hurt by it.

Off the top of my head I can think of two just in the past few yrs. Epstein and Israel Keyes.... although both of them were already in jail when they did it... so really I suppose it could happen there too.
JMO, I hope I'm wrong!
And Fotis Dulos

Idaho is a community property state. Of assets and liabilities acquired during marriage. The house Chad owned with Tammy isn't necessarily on Lori's balance sheet. However, Chad can try to use the bit of equity as collateral (still thinking about those unpaid taxes). Jmo

I was referring to the Salem house that Chad and Tammy owned. I believe that one is the one with a mortgage very close to assessed value, therefore, minimal equity. They are married, but her name is most unlikely to be on that deed.

Sorry, but the same question can be asked to the LDS church at large. Only a tiny percentage of the world's population belongs to the Lord's one true and everlasting church. If the call to belong to this church is so important (eg: the only way to get to the highest level of heaven), why wouldn't the Lord announce it to a broader audience, instead of to a small group whose influence may only reach a few? Is that the way the Lord loves his children? Warn only those who happened to read a book?
That’s what the missionary effort is all about. I will refrain from a longer answer so as not to derail the conversation, as this particular topic doesn’t relate to the larger issues at hand. However if you are interested we can message privately to discuss this further. I can see how reconciling how you were raised with how the Church operates as a whole would be truly difficult. I wish you all the best.

What a relief to wake up to find Lori is still incarcerated. I’m sure she’s a little upset and irritated to still be in jail.

I hope the locals are supplying hot cocoa and coffee! I know it must be COLD out there!
LOL on the coffee....!!
from our timeline, regarding Lori transferring her record to Hawaii but not Chad.

Approx 7 Feb 2020 - Lori officially has her membership record transferred into a new congregation (ward). Tylee and JJ’s church records were not transferred into the ward, and neither were Chad’s (East Idaho News).

Records!! Wow
My brain goes to medical or dental records if switching as a patient

@Gardner help me remember? Speaking of bail.

The perp in Cupcake's murder. Didn't a whole group of people put up their own assets until they hit the required collateral at his first arrest?

I'm thinking several individuals can put up separate amounts for Lori's bail until the little money thermometer posterboard hits the top mark. Not saying it's going to happen. But a possibility if Chad is begging for help. Jmo

How as a mother do you walk past your child like that? I will never understand it. I really feel for CR :( JMO

Me too. It made me really angry when Lori's defense attorney stated "their children" and "their grandchildren" all live locally as part of the claim Lori has strong ties to the community. I wanted to shout at her: "No, they are not all local! Colby lives in another state and those adult kids with grandchildren in town are Chad and Tammy's kids!" I can't imagine the pain and anger Colby must have been feeling to have been completely ignored.:(
