Then, how were they Grandparents of JJ? Charles Vallow adopted JJ from his niece? I thought that it was a sister's child.

I’m pretty sure the bondsman is taking less then 100K. See the reference to “a deal”? Chad or lawyers have been negotiating. That’s a big chunk of change for a single bond case. Bondsman were probably tripping over themselves to make that deal. Nice payday.

We don't know if Chad's kids have even met Lori. They have never spoken to the press. He apparently told his kids he was going to Hawaii for a "business trip". Then he told them he met Lori there and they got married. According to a friend:

A few weeks after Tammy died, a close friend of the Daybell children tells EastIdahoNews.com she had a conversation with one of their sons. She asked that we not use her name but provided verification that the conversation occurred.

“We were talking about how his family is doing and he told me his dad remarried,” she says. “I thought it was a joke because he kind of laughed about it afterward. I laughed and he said, ‘No, I’m serious. My dad went to Hawaii on a business trip and met a widow and they just got married.'”

The friend wasn’t sure how to respond and sensed the Daybell children were not happy their father had remarried so quickly.

“I’ll never forget he said, ‘My dad’s not a bad guy – he’s just done some bad things,'” she says. “I remember calling my mom that night and telling her how weird it was that Chad’s wife hadn’t even been in the ground a month and he’s already married again.”

Yes, well said. Also I believe it was brought up that $1 Million bond is usually reserved for murder charges in Madison County. Lori hasn't been charged with murder, but the fact that the judge kept it it as high as $1 Million means he is well aware of her possible connection to 3 ongoing homicide investigations. $100,000 is nothing to sneeze at. In fact, that's close to the value of Chad's house in Rexburg. Before this is over they will be bankrupt by the attorney fees alone unless they have a secret billionaire friend footing the bill (doubtful IMO). I don't believe Lori and Chad have the millions in the bank that will be needed to stage a long-term legal battle. And these charges against Lori are just the beginning IMHO. Those charges got her and Chad back to Idaho. I don't care if she gets bailed out. I just want her to tell where the kids are located. MOO.

If they are true believers (really a big if), I assume they believe there is nothing to have their defense prepare other than motions to delay, delay, delay until July, when all the pesky secular legal stuff becomes moot. I wonder what they will say come July?

it makes me sick that the money being used to bail her out comes from what I believe was their murder of his last wife. We need some more charges.

Charles and kay are siblings.
kay is jj's bio grandmother. (kays son is jj's bio dad)
charles is jj's great uncle. also his adopted dad.

Charles and lori are much younger than kay and her husband. the grandparents had him to begin with and Charles decided to adopt him to help and keep jj in the family dynamic .
so they kinda all had a hand in raising him together.
a beautiful supportive family.

That is correct. I believe another reporter said Charle's son, Cole Vallow, was there.

I don't believe he did misquote here.

I believe that one of CV's sons was there, along with the husband of CV ex's.
He was greeted as they walked into the courtroom and introduced himself as such.
