The shooter could not have simply disappeared on this property. There is too much open area around the house and on the property. So....either the perp(the mystery masked man) was already on the property and stayed there or was helped to escape the property by one of those that already resided there. There were supposedly only 2 people at the house when TD arrived from her meeting. We never heard if CD came to her call but we did hear the the oldest son searched the neighborhood for the masked mystery man. LE did arrive about 10pm as TD did call for them.

It was dark. Couldn't the perp have made their way east on 200 N and gotten picked up there? I think RS has indicated that as a viable possibility in his opinion. The outbuildings combined with darkness would seem to make that doable.

It's been discussed that Lori got Charles to convert after they got married. From @Gardener1850 timeline, Tylee was born in 2002. Charles and Lori married in Feb 2006. Tylee would have turned 8 (normal baptism age) in September 2010. At that point she and Charles would have been married 4 1/2 years. So first we have the question of how soon she convined Charles to convert. It easily could have been after Tylee was baptized. But even if it was prior, not any member can perform a baptism. A man has to have a specific level of what is called "the priesthood" before they can perform a baptism. I'm not sure how quickly a new adult member is typically going to take to get to that point, but think it very likely that Charles wasn't in a position to fill this role when Tylee turned 8. JR and Lori were also in the middle of their multi-year battle over custody and such. Tylee might not have wanted Joseph to baptize her (assuming he was a member in good standing and able to) and I suspect even if she felt that way that Lori would have discouraged it. I'm not at all surprised that BB did it.

How many times do you need to shoot an unarmed person in the chest?
The intent was clearly to kill, and the shooter was not nervous under the circumstances, and knew how to use the weapon properly.

If AxC (allegedly) shot CV 5 times from a distance of maybe 6 or 8 feet it should have been clear to everyone he was not a professional assassin and maybe shouldn't have been given the task of (allegedly) shooting BB in a moving car or (allegedly) shooting a woman standing in her driveway carrying frozen entrees.

I can't decide if AxC didn't do these things, wasn't good at it, or is being scapegoated.

6 months ago I didn’t think any of the things that have transpired in that time were possible in our small community. I wish that I had a literal way back machine and pay attention to the details that I should have.

With the reality of this scenario, I have no doubt this was AxC, and it was the same gun used to try to kill BB.
There could be a variety of reasons why he missed. For one thing, handguns are more accurate. He may not have practiced enough with this weapon. It was dark, so that too may have affected his aim. This attempted murder, followed by her actual death, points to her death being murder. Just like BB, imagine she were hit and died. How often do random people get mowed down in Rexburg? Like that wouldn't have raised eyebrows?

We haven't really talked about this but these emails Chad sent to Lori seem to coincide with her going off the rails in January 2019 and disappearing with Tylee for two months. From the article and a link within the article.

The fox 10 link mentions multiple emails in 2018.

my vote goes for JM. In the neighborhood, claims all his LE and military experience. I still think there was supposed to be an earlier attempt on CV. (Remember when April in HI said Lori was expecting CV to die). To me is is one obvious "reinforcement" that they thought they could count on.
