So the teachers in this private school are living under the rock? They don't know anything about the situation? Teachers are mandatory reporters. I am assuming they would have reported having JJ in a school. Tylee wouldn't even be in school because supposedly she graduated.

I know it seems farfetched, but there are people and organizations who help people do things like this, unfortunately. Check out this article about two minors concealed on a therapeutic horse ranch for two years. I don't know how much media coverage happened at the time of their disappearance, but this type of scenario isn't impossible. Did the Missing Rucki Sisters Want To Be Found?

She could actually be in jail for all we know. In the K. Berreth case, someone said they heard a rumor that K. Kenney had been arrested but no one could find that information. They couldn't find it because she had been charged federally. There haven't been any confirmed sightings by reporters so hoping she was arrested by the feds is mostly wishful thinking on my part in this case.

I don't see Lori and Chad being welcomed by an LDS church, they probably showed up, and the shock factor was the issue. No public scene would have happened.

But, I have no doubt that they will be intercepted next time, and politely counseled not to attend church until their legal situation is resolved. Otherwise, it looks like the LDS church condones ignoring LEO.

The chutzpah of Lori and Chad is shocking.

One week ago today, I confronted Chad and Lori Daybell in a hotel resort parking lot. Today I'm told they attended meetings at the LDS Church in Lihue, Hawaii. They were seen speaking with the bishop and acted as if everything was ok. One member overheard them saying media reports are one-sided and lies. They told ward leaders they wanted to attend church but didn't want to cause any problems. They acted normal, friendly and didn't seem to have a care in the world. A member was surprised that THEY brought up the news and police in a room with several people. Oh, and Tylee and JJ? They were not with them. Had they been, I'm sure the ward would have welcomed them with open, loving arms.

This is just surreal. Why are they playing this game? Why do they seek to attend a Christian house of worship when their behavior is anything but Christian. Hope the Bishop and everyone else there asked where the kids are.

I've taken to only "watching" the media threads. But that also requires me to have the willpower to disregard the regular thread over and over in the "unread content" list, at least until the title changes to *arrest* or *found* etc. I only have mixed success with that.

This case is national news. The two may have shown up at church not to gain more notoriety, but to find some kind of refuge. Reporters are following them though. And I agree with you. I can't imagine that this church would encourage them to return.

Yeah, if you send kids to a residential treatment center, those are consider hospitals. I was a teacher at a RTC and we had to call the hospital's administration before ever calling the police for anything. We also had to follow HIPPA rules and regulations.

It appears to me that they are just taunting for charges and they're going to have the biggest drama excuse and blame. It does remind me of the drama & tales in Casey A's case, if I'm right. This makes me believe LD is getting advice from her father perhaps? Studied law but wasn't a lawyer, I believe. Handed out fliers for legal advice and got busted due to no law degree.

This is the part where I totally find calculated.. We have heard from a Verified person (friend) how Chad was acting at the funeral and making weird comments about being a bachelor and I think from a different Verified saying .. Chad had moved in with Lori a couple days after funeral. So now we have him carrying a Death Certificate to get married. Skip a little bit forward in timeline and a phone call from his kids that his wife of 30 yrs body has been exhumed and he is still in Hawaii.

So is Lori getting off on the control if the kids are "safely tucked away from prying eyes" but refusing just the basics, yes they are fine and they are with, so and so. Why go out and about, act like NOTHING is wrong (12 year married husband shot to death, at your house, by your brother, kids missing, brother dead, niece left, niece's husband almost killed, New sweetie's wife died and you married him 3 weeks later....). If those children are gone, she is a certifiable psychopath, if they are safe, she is getting off on being a sociopath. Hey Lori, if you are reading up on yourself, be a DECENT PERSON, let your son Colby know, let the Vallows know, and then you and Chadsky can go play newlyweds. They had an uncle that was a long haul trucker of hazmat materials, so I don't think five miles comes into play. This case is unusual in that they were not reported missing for a much longer time than is usual for missing kids.
