Yeah, I hadn't seen the entire clip before, only the screenshots of her sticking out her tongue (those posts were removed so I'm not going to screenshot here). She's also making funny/smiling type faces like you would make if trying to get a child to laugh or while taking silly selfies. It doesn't match with the seriousness of the events and makes it seem like she thinks this is all a big joke. Did she think the reporter's video couldn't be used if she made faces in the background? Or was she making faces for the benefit of someone she thought would be watching (such as Tammy's elementary students)? It's weird behavior but in the grand scheme of things that's one of the least weird things to happen in this case. LOL. MOO.

Re-posting link to video: Law enforcement searching Daybell's home - Local News 8
BBM. I agree. Her idea was probably to sabotage the reporting and make the video unusable. The person sitting next to her didn't try to stop her. Asking a reporter to stop doing their job was also bizarre.

Adding to my post #1037. I think the cult stuff brought them together and there is plenty of craziness there- may be legal and illegal but I think the core of this situation is money, sex, ego, and power. I think we are distracted by the shock and insanity of the cult stuff and I think the LDS church has taken a perhaps, unfair hit with this case, but again- these are distractions.
They may claim they did it because of their beliefs but I don't buy it. They were willing to sacrifice the wellbeing of two beautiful children along with the death of their spouses, who by all accounts were very good people for their wants and desires- really sick. MOO

Apologies everyone- I guess I'm on a roll here with my thoughts. Through the Daybell's attorney SB, it was stated that this was a" custody matter". We all assumed that was in reference to the custody of JJ and Tylee, right? Nope- Lori and Chad's claim is about custody of the $$$ from CV's insurance policy NOT the kids. I think another strategy Lori would try to use is that she was/is entitled to the money because she has JJ and it will be very expensive to care for him. This is really all about the $$$. MOO
Thanks for allowing me to let loose on my thoughts this morning.

I agree. This is also why I don't really like the cult angle. I understand it, but...

Oh, sorry, I never thought you were attacking anyone. My point was, ok if you believe the doomsday deal, why aren’t you prepping, too?
Sun, sand and surf in Hawaii sounds like a vacation.
Therefore, we’re back to what did you do with the kids? As the last people who know where they were, you are responsible for them.
This entire group is off the wall. Body count is 6? I think someone said.
Just keep running down leads, asking questions, tracing money. Talk to anyone who will listen. Ask for more searchers. Spring will be here soon, and the snow will melt away. Maybe Equusearch or drones could be deployed again. Even if the same search sites.
Just talking out loud. Do not let this turn into a cold case. That’s what I’m trying to say.
Specific search areas need to be identifed before asking volunteers and searh companies for help. At the moment we don't even have an idea in which state to search. IMO we need a lot more clues before searches can start.

Every Friday for the past few weeks I wake up hoping it is the day we hear about arrest(s) in this case. For some reason I don't expect it today. I think they will wait until after the Feb 10th deadline for Dept of Welfare to report back to the court. Unless Tammy's autopsy comes back. Then we could see some movement on that. I've got to be away from my computer today so that probably means everything will happen while I'm gone, LOL.

I'm currently keeping an eye on these reporter Twitters:

Justin Lum Fox 10 (@jlumfox10) | Twitter

Nate Eaton (@NateNewsNow) | Twitter

Eric Grossarth (@ericgrossarth) | Twitter

MikeGalanosHLN (@MikeGalanosHLN) | Twitter

Kim Powell (@KimPowellTV) | Twitter

Garna Mejia KSL (@GarnaMejiaKSL) | Twitter

Nate and Eric have been pretty quiet the last couple days and it seems like Kim might still be in Hawaii as of 7 hours ago. Could Nate be making another trip to Kauai? I wonder if Kim was sent there this week with a tip that something big could happen or if she is fishing/hoping to get exclusive video of Lori and Chad walking around? MOO.

On his FB page Nate had a post last night where he indicated he'd been on a long flight back from NYC to SLC and said he'd been in New York for a taping of a TV show (Dr Phil, I think) where they talked about this case. So I'm thinking he's been a bit quiet the last couple days while doing that.

The woman must have been off her nut. She tried to get rid of her son's medical dog for like seven hundred bucks or something while going through a claim over money and child care?! What idiot does that? The cost of the dog alone you could claim on paper...

He had the “cult” following with his series, but cult rules don’t apply to many cult leaders. His cult might be better termed followers. Preppers. It turns to cult with extreme behavior, whether criminal or not. Extreme. Marrying off 12 year olds....

$700? Source, please.

Let's say there is a cult and Lori and/or Chad are involved, hypothetically. What's their angle? Cults have angles.

I doubt Chad is a cult leader in the sense that the readers of his books are now lost and waiting somewhere for his further instructions. Or that the people to whom he explained his visions on the paid online forums can't function without his advice. It would still be interesting to know what his (once) supporters think of the whole saga now.

Lori tried to sell JJ's med dog on some forum for like seven hundred bucks or something because she is an idiot, it's earlier in the thread, it was posted yesterday. She got stopped because the dogs handler must have had a Google alert for service dog sales going live in the area or something. Of course, Lori got caught, and had to surrender the dog to the original kennel/trainer.

And if course this happened because the service dog ownership and training community is incredibly small and connected and up in each other's business. I just rubbernecked it and walked it on occasion, but my sister was big into it.

It was reported as $2500, still a fraction of what the dog would be worth but the ad showed the asking price as $2500.

It wasn't $700 on the earlier source. Will you please cite your source for the $700 figure? Or is this wild speculation? Jmo

My point exactly, thank you. I'm still waiting on the $700 source because that's completely different. Jmo

Thanks for that. I knew the price was low but I couldn't remember the exact number. I just remembered how unfathomably stupid the ad was.

Maybe it's because I had a family member with a service dog, but I'm kind of hung up on thr fact any rational person would even try to sell one outright for cash.

This is new information that isn't squared up with some previous sources. So the source she's looking for would be an ad for the dog or a source demonstrating the dog had been sold for $700.
