I am not aware of any LDS schools like this. Provo Canyon School are for kids with behavior problems. I don't think they would keep the kids long if the parents are not having regular contact with the counselors. I may have a contact at this school that could check into this.

I still think the kids were staying at the son's home with the Venmo account for a while. Why else would that money be sent there beginning with a description of "Meds".

Your last paragraph is an interesting thought. Could the kids have been with them from 24th Sept till the wedding trip to Hawaii in early Nov and the kids then went somewhere else. But then the last seen date would not have been Sept 23rd.

This brings us to the point of this drama, why? Why deliberately hide kids? What is the point? No one actually has any legal right to custody of JJ or Tylee.

The missing children is what put Chad and Lori Daybell under the media spotlight. A couple of dead spouses, meh, whatever. Missing children? Big problem.

I think we just don't know. I agree people around him are trying to spend it faster than he earns it, but he lives in lux rentals while still paying for LVs house and JJs school and working in finance so hopefully not making totally stupid decisions with his $.

We have a VI who reported here that LE gave him a list of at least 4 vehicles owned by Charles when he died, all 2 or 3 year old cars with sticker prices that scare me.

Colby's car was repossessed, I think, after Charles died and LV drained the bank accounts, No? He didn't make payroll after LV stole $35k because he didn't know LV stole $35k and in the US it takes days to make funds "available" after a bank transfer despite the fact that the transaction and confirmation take a millisecond (don't get me started on that...) so he couldn't move assets around fast enough.

Discussing this case with friends over the last few weeks, every single person I talked to said their 401(k), 403(b), pension, IRA,...whatever the retirement vehicle, it was worth way more than their life insurance. If someone killed me for my life insurance they would get a small fraction of what my wife would get by killing me for my 401(k).

I agree about the retirement plan. I brought it up a couple of threads ago as a possible motive. And we now know definitely that she did not know about the Life insurance beneficiary change until after Charles had been killed so she thought she would receive a lot of money.

It must be so hard for Chad to be receiving negative publicity. In my opinion this megalomaniac must be getting desperate, and his mind will not be resting. I still think he will throw Lori under the bus and try to save his reputation. Will that happen before he is arrested for the murder of Tammy, or after, is the question.
