I have been wondering why they didn't go to Mexico. Dateline said they purchased tickets. Was it just that they didn't want camera crews following them around the airport? They must be getting used to having cameras in their faces by now. And why Mexico? Was that the first step on a plan to get out of sight and out of reach of US LE? If that was their plan why did they settle for so long in Hawaii?
It makes me curious... CD and LV seem to have traveled a lot, but from all I have read it is in the western US. I wonder if they have passports and can (legally) get out of the country.
I have been looking at their association with the group out of Rigby, Idaho. That group is listed with Southern Poverty Law Center as an active “Patriot” group. Those people often feel laws are not for them such as the group that took over the wildlife refuge in Oregon.
I considered Mexico as a possible location for the children, if still alive, because there is a large mainstream LDS population there and a long history of FLDS and polygamists settling there to avoid persecution in the US. Years ago, I attended an LDS wedding in the state of Chihuahua.
With LV and her father, BC, seeming to have little respect for laws and/or manipulating laws, I think that she has been legally counseled with regard to the missing children and custodial issues and potential charges that could be brought by the state of Idaho.
The plane tickets to Mexico? Are they trying to flee to avoid being charged or prosecuted for potentially much more serious charges? What is the US extradition agreement with Mexico? MOO
