I have been wondering why they didn't go to Mexico. Dateline said they purchased tickets. Was it just that they didn't want camera crews following them around the airport? They must be getting used to having cameras in their faces by now. And why Mexico? Was that the first step on a plan to get out of sight and out of reach of US LE? If that was their plan why did they settle for so long in Hawaii?

It makes me curious... CD and LV seem to have traveled a lot, but from all I have read it is in the western US. I wonder if they have passports and can (legally) get out of the country.

I have been looking at their association with the group out of Rigby, Idaho. That group is listed with Southern Poverty Law Center as an active “Patriot” group. Those people often feel laws are not for them such as the group that took over the wildlife refuge in Oregon.

I considered Mexico as a possible location for the children, if still alive, because there is a large mainstream LDS population there and a long history of FLDS and polygamists settling there to avoid persecution in the US. Years ago, I attended an LDS wedding in the state of Chihuahua.

With LV and her father, BC, seeming to have little respect for laws and/or manipulating laws, I think that she has been legally counseled with regard to the missing children and custodial issues and potential charges that could be brought by the state of Idaho.

The plane tickets to Mexico? Are they trying to flee to avoid being charged or prosecuted for potentially much more serious charges? What is the US extradition agreement with Mexico? MOO

I have a question, if you are LDS dont you attend the nearest ward? Hanalei would be closer to them if they are/were in Princeville, why wouldnt they go to that one?

Maybe people that used to know Lori from her previous time on the island attend there? Jmo. Avoidance behavior

Mexico will extradite but not if death penalty is involved. So in death penalty cases US has to promise to not ask for a death penalty.

You can only produce a video of them to prove they are alive if they are actually alive.
I wish I knew how to do a poll of our followers here. I have seen that on other threads/cases. Does anyone know how to do that? It would be telling to get a feel of how these smart posters feel on whether they are alive or gone (I can't say 'dead').

I was wondering that myself last Sunday. They aren't necesarily going to attend the closest. The church has lines drawn out designating specific geograpical areas that are in specific wards and the ward or wards (two or three is common in areas where needed unless things have drasically changed) meet at a specific church building. If it was their intent to be there medium to long term and have their records transferred then this would matter to some degree. (There are exceptions, for example "single" wards in some areas and I think possibly other situations beyond that.) However, as others have mentioned, visiting any ward isn't going to be a problem and if their plan is to be a visitor for multiple weeks, but not to have their records transferred for the long term then it wouldn't matter. Possibly there is some reason they do want the ward they've been going to or don't want the ward or wards that meet closer to them. Do we know where Lori lived when she was in Hawaii before? Is it in the area closer to the church they are going to or the one closer to where they are staying?

I think you have to get permission from a mod. Perhaps, report your post and ask. :) jmo

Fair question and I believe you are correct. Typically, the ward you attend coordinates with your physical residential address. Others could correct me? MOO

Yes...this was a new detail..of how the Woodcocks tracked Lori by having access to Charles' email account. This is another great break in this case.
It was reported that she was shopping online for beach style wedding dresses before the death of TD. Wonder if she is still shopping amazon.

Last one, I promise. Did Rexburg PD treat all three town homes (Lori's, AC's, and the friend/sister person who I think everybody thinks was maybe MB and possibly ZP) as potential crime scenes (luminal, etc.)?
they did search all.

LDS ward, stake, and temple boundaries are all geographically determined and you attend the ward/stake building your area is assigned to. Which may not be the physically closest building. It's not uncommon for a member to have to travel farther, sometimes much farther, to attend services at their ward/stake/temple than the actual nearest building. There are exceptions to this and it's possible to have your records moved to a different ward/stake than your geographically determined one is. And in the case of temples, while you are 'assigned' (and I use that term very loosely) a temple, members are free to attend any temple of their choosing and at any time. Wards and stakes are actually very similar - nobody is going to kick you out and demand you go only to your assigned ward/stake. But in the case of wards and stakes it's highly encouraged for you to attend your assigned ward/stake as the leaders have been called and set apart to lead, guide, care for and minister to those in that specific area. And how can they properly do that if you're always attending a different one?

The Marshall Islands, Micronesia, and Samoa do not extradite to the US. The first two are almost like being in the US because of the Compact of Free Association. But that could also give the feds some leverage. All are nice tropical islands that would not be too hard to get to from Hawaii.

But my understanding "visitors" have a little bit more freedom to choose. Twas the case when my brother chose to go to one vs. another when he came to visit me.

Dateline didn't mention where LV's niece is currently. Is it possible that she has the kids?
This was a disappointment to me. I am convinced that MBp and IP have much more to do with this than we are hearing...so was somewhat surprised by the absense of detail. But thought, maybe this is a secret weapon with authorities right now...and everyone must be silent. We shall se..

also, if she is receiving social security benefits for children not in her care/and or deceased, that should be enough to bring her in.

I think if they will cut off all their money, we may see some results.

where is Melani? Is she missing or unknown? She may be the last hope as to them being with her, alive.
For that matter, where is Zulema, they could be with her too.

if the kids are with Zulema, where were they on the day Alex died and JL found him? I shudder to think those kids are being isolated/caged in a home where another murder/death has taken place.

I can't wrap my head around Chad and Lori Daybell. Living their dream life in Hawaii. The swath of mysterious deaths, and missing children back on the mainland.

Both of them, are the same. Obviously, they are perfect for each other. A normal man, not want to be with a woman who flaunts the law, and has missing kids. That would be way too much drama for a regular guy. And honestly, if I was dating a guy, who's wife had been dug up for an autopsy, it would be so over.

These two, hold hands on the escalator.
As I have said before and before... I believe they are two "bad seeds" and have gone through life pleasing and getting approvals. (Chad anyway). But coming together...we have two bad seeds in the same pod....and all H breaks loose.

hard for me to think that those kids would have been in that house with that particular son....who didn't have a clue as to who Alex was....

Ahem... about "expecting the phone call", it just occurred to me... did this mean that Lori was expecting that Alex would "take Charles out" during this time frame? I realize the answer to this hinges largely upon whether or not Lori's so far gone that she thinks God would randomly smite dead her enemies just because she deserves it; but so far, the evidence is heavily weighted towards Lori believing she needed an enforcer to carry these things out, so I wonder.

Yes, wasn’t this the same time period when Alex left his garage open for a few weeks, and when Lori got back, she yelled at him in the street? Maybe she thought he was a “disgrace to the family” because he didn’t manage to kill Charles while she was gone?

And, apparently, there is no law in Idaho, that a parent can be charged with any felony crime for not bringing in a child.

Lori completely blew off the last edict to bring in her kids, she is still frolicking in Hawaii.

This case is absolutely fascinating in regards to how few rights and protections children have in the United States. And Idaho, in particular. The people in this state are very much against big government, and any type of government interference in the rights of adult citizens.

SBM.

Your comment just sparked a thought. I don't know if it's even feasible or not... I'm probably pretty far out in left field with this... And these are admittedly some pretty crazy questions... But is there any laws against crossing state lines to hide evidence of the commission of a crime in another state? Could Tammy's body be considered physical evidence if she's been found to have been poisoned? And the act of transporting her body from Idaho to Utah for burial could be considered as Chad trying to hide said evidence, making it harder for LE to investigate the commission of a crime? And would that advance jurisdiction from a local/county/state to a federal level because it's transporting criminal acts/things across state lines?

No, because the death had already been investigated and released by LEO in Idaho.
