I'd argue that killing the kids or putting them in a prepper camp is even more dangerous than finding a different location for them. Killing the kids doesn't work because it's leaving the two dependents to follow you around forever like a media weight; you could have just given the boy to his grandparents and let the teen girl age out of your care. Meanwhile the prepper crowd would turn the kids in quick for a bundle to buy the second generator...

But say you had the money to hide some kids away, and even do it legally and call it therapy for them... It's evil, but it's the kind of evil someone like Lori who hates conflict and tells wild lies would have perfect access to from a geographical standpoint.
I think you have to look at motive. Why are the children missing and why has Lori refused to simply comply with the court to show that they are alive and well? At this point, I believe the children are not alive and that is why she continues to obstruct. She can't produce them. I believe the children's disappearance has to do with Charles' death. I believe Lori wanted to be free of them and they posed a threat to her future plans. This to me, is the only reasonable explanation, because if she could produce the children, it is in her best interests to do so, and Lori's pattern is to always do what is in her best interests. MOO

I used to travel a lot for work. I have enough Marriott points to live at a Marriott resort for 6-8 months free of charge. I can transfer those to someone else if I want. I also book the cheapest room and usually get a high end ocean view suite upgrade for free. Given Charles's frequent travels for his job over 13+ years, don't make any assumptions about how much their resort stay is actually costing in hard dollars. Lori likely has his points.

When I first moved to Hawaii I knew I'd be staying at hotels a lot so I approached a few hotels including a Marriott and straight up asked, can you give me a flat rate if I commit to 50 nights this year at your property. I was offered rates between $89 and $159 with no resort charges at Marriott, Fairmont, and other high end hotels. Now. that's still thousands per year that I spent but tourists will spend that much in a week!

I have no idea if L&C had the foresight to do that but if they did they might be paying far less than anyone can imagine.

That's a possibility as well, at least where the Marriott is concerned. In fact, don't we already have a story that involves Lori using miles or frequent traveler points from an account of Charles' already?

Half of me (my evil twin?) is constantly arguing this same thing. The other half can't believe Chad (or anyone) is guillible enough to believe there is no fire due to all the smoke he has to be seeing and that Lori can't possibly keep it together as well as she has if she has that hanging over her. But I may be giving her too much credit for normal human feelings and emotions. MOO

It was about $2700 per flight of 630 miles round trip in one day where I had to fly too much in smaller private planes, way back when. That probably took 7- 10 hours in a one day round trip. 10 passenger, iirc Don't miss that at all.
That seems pretty consistent. The aircraft that are certified to fly so far over water to Hawaii are more expensive. My estimate was mostly a guess, but a somewhat educated one since I know a tech-millionare who owns a Dassault Falcon and makes the trip routinely. He told me what he rents his plane out for while not using it.

Something tells me Chad never had much of a sex life before Lori. Sure he had 5 kids, but you know what I mean....MOO

But I think the thing about sex and lust is that at some point you move past that to something deeper, that will be a sad sad day for Chad when he realizes what he has become. Lori I think is past all feeling. MOO.

Could be the kids are dead, but... What future plans was that worth? Chad has none Lori has none. The preppers hate Chad and Lori for bringing the heat on them, so no more public speaking or books. Chad's kids are mad at him. Lori and her family hates her. She's a hairdresser and he's a guy who reps LDS fanfiction on a low income...

Oh Christ, they're on watch.

That's not how these cults, specifically the AVOW cult/LDS prepper cult that AVOW was a part of, were about though. Lifestyle cults don't want you to run off to an island when you could spend money on their cheap tat. They want you to spend all your spare money on inflatable radiation suits and DIY bunker kits.

Chad's starting a new lifestyle cult. "Preppers gone wild...."

I know, they aren't even acting as if they actually believe into all these bizarre end of the world things. Per Chad's books, end of the world is a long process, not just the "end." It's not like the world is going to end, it's going to be a long struggle for survival. Well, sitting on a beach isn't preparing you for that struggle.

(Tongue firmly in cheek here) The beach is a great place to prepare. You can catch your own fish, gather mollusks and crustaceans, and uni! Above the beach there are tropical fruits. Farther mauka (upland) you can hunt pig, gather sweet potatoes, taro, mango, avocado, and who knows what else. The Hawaiians thrived here for over a thousand years. I am sure that C&L's time on the beach is purely dedicated to learning survival skills they will need later to grow tropical fruit in the Rockies.

Yes the ones I flew in were rental planes. Usually the same pilot though. Awesome food too.

I agree he probably had some retirement accounts. Typically, they have beneficiaries named, no? If he made it a point to remove Lori off of his life insurance as the beneficiary, I would hope that he did the same for any other accounts with significant funds in them. Not sure if anyone has seen anything about other accounts; I myself do not recall hearing about them in any msm.
In Arizona your spouse is your retirement account beneficiary unless they give written permission not to be. But like my questioning Idaho jurisdiction for the kids, I'm not so sure whether C and/or L were Arizona or Texas residents.

In order to file for divorce in Arizona Charles had to declare himself an Arizona resident in February 2019. But he may have been easily able to change that in Texas a day later. I just don't know what the law is.

Also to note re: Charles's estate, it is in probate with a DEPENDENT Administration. (Basically meaning it is now micromanaged and everything has to be approved by the courts.)

(per Harris County, TX court case online record search)
Bingo! So he was legally a Texas resident at death. Good to know.

It's true. A friend of mine once grew an avacado tree in Breckenridge using only cursed soil and the blood of a virgin millenial after he visited the big island and stole a pit...

Someone posted a picture on Facebook of a missing flyer for JJ and Tylee at the Princeville Shopping Center in Kauai! I'm sure that it was the handy work of one our WSers! (Portiz?...Portriz...sorry I'm probably messing up the user name)
Hi five to Portiz!!!

That's what it takes. Our State legislature is currently tackling the problem of the declining availability of millenial virgin blood though so stay tuned.

Actually, I should be honest. I did join for a reason. I had a question that has been bugging me.

Have the police, MSM, friends, or anyone else looked into the possibility that Lori stashed the kids in one of those Utah LDS reform camps for troubled kids and teens? I don't have any evidence this could have happened at all but one of my LDS friends got sent to one in high school, and when she came back, she said that a lot of kids only got sent to them by their very religious parents or even in some cases, the state, because their care givers just wanted to be rid of them but still pay lip service to conservative values. If Lori and Chad really wanted to get rid of the kids, and they have money to burn, I could see them paying to send the kids away for a time rather than risk some more drastic action.

I don't know if this has any credence to it, but I just was wondering if it's came up as a possibility or not.

Any school would cooperate with LEO and notify that the children are in the school. Schools, camps, even private facilities are licensed by the state, and they have to follow same guidelines, such as mandatory reporting to CPS. I don't see any business risking their license for LD.

Plus, employees talk. You couldn't get enough folks to stay quiet about this.
