Thanks. Here I sit..my house a mess (what else is new) and I just want to grab these people and choke them. How dare they???

Poor Robert. He's so cute. So did the dad have custody and where does he live? I have gone back and read but can't get the info fast enough for me. Why/how long had he been visiting his mom??? I know......the info is in the threads. But I am mad. MAD. He's so cute and so didn't deserve this. I hope whoever did harm to him...has his sweet face burned in their mind forever. Okay...mods...yes, I'm going to do a few dishes and make something to eat. Why - why hurt these poor innocent kids?? And I agree....my 7yo would put up a fight and be hard to take down. Be viligent LE. Hats off to them. Find Robert and get who did this.

My opinion is that the boyfriend killed Robert, probably on accident or in a fit of rage, etc. I also think he is the one who fractured the infant's skull and Melissa took the rap for it because he was on parole and would have been sent back to prison (also, the injury happened at Ehrlick's parents' home - would Melissa really be that violent in someone else's home?). Daniel's record is much more violent than Melissa's (outside of the injury to child) i.e. battery, etc. (and his brother David's record is even worse, lots of domestic violence). I think Melissa knows what happens and maybe even helped dispose of the body but I kind of don't think she did it. I agree with the others that think they were using drugs. Daniel has lots of drug-related charges and I would not be at all surprised if they were/are using meth.

My two cents worth (and my opinion only...) sorry for the ramble... and thanks for letting me speak my mind.

Respectfully snipped and bolded ~
I have a 9 year old and he's tough, this little boy would have been struggling and putting up a fight unless he was hit very hard with some kind of object.
How can you get that angry with a child you've known for 8 years ?
I guess I'm jumping the gun a little, but I think mom or bfrnd did it.

But, would he struggle and fight YOU? His mother?

I am gently going to diagree with you here. If the child was in trouble with the parent, chances are, he would NOT fight back. Most children are used to parents as authority figures and obey them without question. In an abusive situation, most children learn early on not to argue with the abusive parent or hit back or try to run or scream, etc. etc. I can hardly type this.... Some babies would be very trusting and would not expect to be harmed by their parent. Others would be weary of upsetting the parent and afraid. In either situation, I don't see a child fighting back against the parent until very close to the end when the child loses its reasoning and the survival instinct kicks in - and by then, it is generally too late. :(

Of course this is just my opinion and I don't have any stats to back it up. Also it only relates to children being attacked by their parent. A stanger may produce a totally different response in the child.

KBOI just reported they found a body in a canal near where I live in Kuna (We are about 15 minutes from Boise). They stopped short of saying if it's Robert.

I don't know about "sunshine laws", but court records are available. Sheesh, I should have saved the link I used. I was looking up the rental guy and found a drug case, a tobacco charge involving minors and child support orders.

nursebeeme,
yes. I noticed it too when I heard the report on the radio. The reporters here are pretty good at foreshadowing facts the police can't disclose.

I dare say that this is not a good sign. If this body was not related to the search for little Robert, they would have had no reason to cancel this press conference.
