Thank you everyone.

You wouldn't be the first one to think Patsy killed her to save her. To me, she is a tragic figure. I don't blame her for this: I blame her mother, Nedra. She used Patsy as a plaything for her dreams just like Patsy used JB. Neither one of them had a chance. When she died, I mourned her.

Maybe she does deserve some punishment, but I wouldn't wish her circumstances on anyone.

Exactly SD...I asked a Psychiatrist why a mother would kill her own 6-year-old...she said two reasons:

To save the child.

To save herself.

Nedra was your typical stage-mother, living vicariously through her daughters. Little did she know that dear-ole-dad showed too much interest in his little beauties.

She did not entertain the idea of an accident in this case?

Yes Shill has arrived again.

Doesn't he know by now that we know his writing style, so it doesn't matter how many times he changes "hat", we are always onto him?[/quote]

I think there is a problem with the replying again. But my reply is below to Ames above.

He's an idiot getting older. That is it.

Well, RR, this will probably cost me friends here, but Patsy actually comes off somewhat sympathetically in the book. I mean, as much as she can.

I have never gotten the impression from any RDIS thaty they disliked Patsy.

I know I don't. Why are we going to dislike her? She evokes a lot more sympathy than John, imo. She is the one who was dying of cancer. She had a very very said life, imo. I really do not know what happened that night, but I don't think Patsy wanted her child dead.

For some reason, John is a different story. I get the impression a lot of posters dislike him.

Even if she did know, would she have tried to stop it?

This is just a guess, but I imagine that the way Toltec probably phrased it, it wouldn't have occured to her unless asked specifically.

You can bet the house on it.

Hi SD,

I hope you are still going through with this book. I am very very interested in reading it.

Hi SD - What's up with the book? I can't wait to read it.
I think a good introduction would be on how you started out as an IDI, and then went to RDI. This would give people an incentive to read it because they would be curious about what it was that changed your mind.

You are our Super Hero!!!!

Darlene733510,
It all depends how he will structure his book I guess? Some people might like that as an explicit theme. But if its structured as a Who Did It tale, then maybe in chapter one, a first person voice might start out as an obvious IDI, but by the time the last chapter is reached, and the conclusion is outlined, with the rejoinder, and this is why I became a RDI ... etc.

That is crime documentary versus crime mystery?

I guess we will have to ask SD how he will structure his book. Being he is now a firm RDI, I doubt he would wrote it as a mystery, when he has so much info., about this event which points to an RDI.

I for one think his book would make a great documentary -
better than that fiasco done by M. Tracey.

SD - are you around to answer our question??????

Here I am!

Darlene, you and UKGuy are both right.

While I don't include how I made the transition in the introduction, I do devote and entire chapter to it. (Chapter 6)

Though, I can't help but wonder if it should come earlier? Hmm.

But the theme throughout the book is: "Here's What I think happened, what a tragedy it is, how it all could have been prevented (I swear the epilogue will break your heart), how we all can do our part to see it doesn't happen again." It's about empowering people who feel powerless. Which is what places like Websleuths do. That's what the book is all about. This is the chance for a regular person to strike a blow, and all that jazz.

A secondary theme, if I may be so pompous, is the idea that kids should be kids, and how dreams can vanish so quickly when they are forced to grow up too fast. I think that's what happened here.

But to explain it would take a long time, and would be quite emotionally involved.

Have you picked a title yet? How is the book coming along? I am compiling a list of things that I hope you have covered in the book. I just want to make sure that you haven't forgotten anything or the list may just give you added material. I doubt that anything I have come up with is going to be new to you, as you seem to know this case like the back of your hand. Just know, that in compiling my list, I have had to reread all the books and transcripts and all of my old notes and printouts! I put those books away years ago thinking that they would never see the light of day again. lol Anyway, I have reread two so far with several more to go.

Have you picked a title yet?

Yes, I have! I know some people will be disappointed, but they shouldn't be. I appreciate everyone's input. But the title is:

JonBenet Ramsey

How Wealth and Politics Won Over Truth and Justice

How is the book coming along?

Quite well.

I am compiling a list of things that I hope you have covered in the book.

Please.

I just want to make sure that you haven't forgotten anything or the list may
just give you added material.

By all means! I want to make sure that I leave more answers than questions. Anything I might have missed.

I doubt that anything I have come up with is going to be new to you, as you seem to know this case like the back of your hand.

Even the back of one's hand can be inscrutable!

Just know, that in compiling my list, I have had to reread all the books and transcripts and all of my old notes and printouts!

Join the club! How do you think I write this thing?

I put those books away years ago thinking that they would never see the light of day again. lol Anyway, I have reread two so far with several more to go.

I'll not keep you.
