I am new to the forum and am exploring IDI theories. It seems the only realisttic scenario for an IDI is someone who broke in with the intention of setting up the Rs for the murder of their daughter. Perhaps someone with a grudge who also wanted to create the perfect "get away with murder" scenario. If this is what happened, they actually did a good job. I am NOT advocating this happened but I am exploring the possible scenarios for this.

Could anyone more familiar with the previous discussions, point me to threads where this might have been covered? I am searching the forums but not finding much (yet).

basically no reasonable evidence of IDI.......

there is arguable some things that point to possibility of IDI.... BUT, if IDI i think there been alot more evidence and much better evidence.

anyway here goes,
1) dna in underwear........... but was very trace.
2) broken window... but cob webs.

i agree that ultimately an IDI would probably be setting the R's up for it.

an IDI has to be a combo of 1) incredibly brazen, 2) very educated and cultured (ransom letter), 3) involved/aware john's business; 4) interested in sexual assaulting children, 5) very good planning for a house they may or may not be familiar with. probably not highly familiar................ combine that with no real evidence and little doubt who wrote the RN.

basically you start thing about non-RDI and it seems IDI is not plausible and PR probably wrote the RN................... i have asked before what/where this case would have gone without RN.... without RN, parents. but RN gives them some change to point at others?

You will need to go back to the earliest discussion threads here on WS, because the IDI argument got pretty much shot down early for lack of evidence, physical or circumstantial, and has remained a minority opinion. ever since.
