I don't think the 3/4/19 were known to police or authorities until after he was reported missing. I wish the neighbors had spoken up if indeed they knew of a major incident on that date. It could have made a big difference. This, of course, is my speculation. But, we have seen no reports. DCFS would have had the date in their logs. I believe the police would have noted the incident as well.

I don’t believe they could charge after the fact, based on things a neighbor told them. If it was so outrageous, why did a neighbor not call? They would have no way to know the severity of said assault, or applicable charges.

If diagnosed perm’ disabled, I am not surprised. At the very least I think he was likely LD. Be interesting to know if he was prescribed Rx for ADD & how she might have administered his meds.

True but LD wouldn't get a disability check. Autism would qualify, depending on the level of functioning. ADD would not qualify for disability payments.

At 5, meds for ADD would be not likely. He would have to be monitored closely by his pediatrician with intermittent height/weight assessments, behavioral assessments. Stimulants would be unlikely given that he did not have to sit still in a classroom.

I don't think he qualified for disability payments.

They may have admitted to harming him on that date based on police interview notes from neighbors. They may have admitted early on before they admitted they killed him as a way of saying, "Yes, this happened, we admit it. But, we didn't hurt him this time." These people are souless, immoral beings. I can absolutely see them admitting one thing in service to claiming innocence for another. They are addicts. This is how addicts justify their actions.

I agree - I think the reason those charges were added when JC was arrested this week was because that was the first LE had heard of them. There is a theory going around social media that she beat AJ badly on 3/4, denied him medical care, and those injuries eventually became debilitating leading up to his death after the April incident. But nobody has any solid info on what happened on 3/4 outside of the charges filed.

And I would agree he may well have been LD. Poor diet, living in fear many days, probably slow and/or afraid to speak, no one to read to him or help him with simple puzzles or educational toys (I assume).
How many times did that little boy hear, "I love you"?

Incredibly sad. I think no matter what he was doing, she went off on him. He was prob’ hungry or thirsty, able to get in the fridge or grab snacks, infuriating her. Of course I mean when they had food in the house. It is hard to say how many X he was slapped & punched daily. I’m guessing every time he spoke.

Does anyone know about what time the police were called to the home on 3/4/19?
I want to hear the communications between dispatch and the officers.

I haven't seen a time or any information on that specific incident.

This incident was only 6 months after AJ’s protective custody case was closed. Sadly, I’m sure there was more horrific abuse that went on that wasn’t documented or reported. And even if it was documented and/or reported it’s highly doubtful the abuse would have been “founded”.

She thought he was dressed as a mummy, but his mother said he had grabbed a pot of boiling water that day, was burned and went to the hospital for treatment

Was he even tall enuff to reach up and grab a pot of anything off of a stove? If so, it just happened to be boiling water?

Also: If you look at the group of photos from the day AJ had his haircut, there's a huge bruise on the side/back of his head behind his ear. I don't know when those were posted but if it was after March 3rd that head injury could have been affecting him slowly. MOO

Okay Tysm. Was he seen by anyone after 03/04? Perhaps he had internal injuries & his condition worsened to the point she thought best to finish him off? I’m almost sick thinking what this poor child, his brother & dog endured.

In the first place, his hand would have felt the heat from the stove, he was old enough to know to avoid the stove.
A child would struggle to hold a pot filled with water, imo. I think we all know how he was scalded.

The cold shower is not used to revive a fainted child, it is punishment. And I keep reading articles where a parent has repeatedly forced hot sauce on a child and it seems a similar utterly sadistic form of "punishment" that can't possibly result in a healthy child with respect for their parents.

I am not on most social media but that theory does make sense to me. I don't think that I can even fathom what was happening to him on a regular basis. When the autopsy is final and written, we will see more than we could ever conjecture in terms of the torture he endured.

I always thought that the reason that they held off for as long as possible in disclosing where he was buried was to get as much evidence erased by decomposition as possible. Just like going to the hotel was to take the younger brother's eyes and mind off of what was happening in that house.

Clearly, something happened. Neighbors may have been interviewed and mentioned a beating they witnessed, heard or something. The murderers probably admitted to a beating that day. (It is interesting that JC and younger son were at the pool a little after that time. I wonder if they thought DCFS would be coming and were making it so they weren't home for a visit.)

How do you know JC was at the pool I only saw photos of his younger brother and monsters bikini selfie.

Could be absolutely true. I have to say that I have called in reports about parents who used the back side of a hair brush, belt, and wooden spoon. In each case, the investigative result was "unsubstantiated" and when I inquired I was told that there is no law -----just seems ridiculous to me. There is no reason to use anything beside a open hand (if you wish to spank) below the waist and not leave marks or bruises. That would have made abuse crystal clear in this case. This is just heartbreaking.

I don’t think you should spank your child period. Its not ok. My boys 28 and 35 now they were a handful. I never laid a hand on them neither did their Father.

Possibly the injuries inflicted upon him March 04 Left him brain dead? The monster duo knew they couldn’t present him to the ER blaming the dog, so in dire need of medical attention he was possibly confined to bed, while they pondered what to do?
