I think the injuries from 3/4/19 we're discovered after AJ was missing. LE would have to have proof of it or JC and/or AJ Sr would have to have confessed. I don't think they would have remembered that exact date specifically, especially if they were on drugs, but there may have been something on their phones. I'm think a text from JC to AF Sr stating AJ won't wake up, hence the cold shower. I'm just speculating here. It is possible that AJ died that day if no one saw him since then. But, who would really notice? Their "friends"?
I think if the neighbors posting that he was almost beat to death on that date there would be some record of it and AJ would not be with his parents. If a neighbor knew a severe beating took place and they didn't report it then shame on them! If I saw a child get beaten almost to death you can bet your ask I'm getting involved. So, until we know for sure via official documentation, I'd say it was hearsay unless the neighbor has video or pictures of the event, which, if they do, shame on them again. I'm going with something more concrete happened during the investigation. Something happened on that date with just JC and AJ.
JC's OB/GYN may not know that she is using. She may slip out without leaving a urine sample. I ask my daughter who works in OB/GYN and she says they usually can suspect it and it's more suspicious if they always don't leave a urine sample. The ones that admit to using, they treat with methadone. Usually, it's the hospital that gets DCFS involved after the baby is born and tests positive for any drugs.
I think her OB knows. If she has a doctor. She would need methadone. She looks like a junkie, her doctor can see what we see. Also she would have blood work done at some point.
I agree, if a neighbor was aware of a beating, they should have kept calling until someone that cared arrived. I don’t care if they had to call the Mayor.
