Does any one have a link the the arrest warrant for 3/4/2019,,for JC? I've search and can't locate. I think it charge 10 and 11

Evidently there was no arrest. Read back a few pages, I think this was pretty much answered by a local.
It is most confusing to see three charges but no arrest.

A lot of inmates give birth while incarcerated. I wonder if they have an OB office and equipment at the clinic there or do they send them to town to a hospital?
Whenever an inmate gave birth while incarcerated, they all went to the hospital.

Shackled to the bed.

Can you please post those photos?

These were posted 3/11 but who knows when they were taken. The bottom middle pic shows the bruise on the side of his head.

If the 911 call had not been made, how long might it have been before anyone missed AJ?
Ouch! Good question.
I'd bet months, not days or weeks.

I haven't found anything. I really think that charge came after AJ was reported missing. There was a warrant for her arrest for a traffic violation, iirc, and they did bring her in on the 18th of April for that. AJ Sr posted bail for her and she was released. If LE knew about 3/4/19 charges, they wouldn't have released her on the 18th.

If he was severely beaten on 3-4 these might be older pics she posted to make it look like all is okay, having a great time here. If taken after 3-4 the beating was not as horrific as we think, imo.
The dark circles under his eyes, just haunting. Bet he never slept long, he lived every moment in fear, imo. It appears his head has an odd shape.

Or a state prison with proper facilities, proper medical personnel, and proper security personnel and prisoner accommodations.

Most jails do not have an MD or medical facilities on site. Prisons do.
I worked in jails and prisons and all women were brought to the hospital and we did hospital duty.
Always shackled to the bed. If they had to use the bathroom they were shackled.

That was a different state, not Illinois.

In a large prison with a lot of female inmates, I'd think it was more cost effective to have a clinic on the premises. Some prisons have nurseries so they babies can stay with Mom until they are toddlers.

I saw the actual written warrants but can't remember what site. Where they gave the charge and the detail about the death, but I didn't notice the 3/4 date. I wanted to see what the detail of the charge was.

Hope the Judge that had him brought out of foster care & returned to evil creatures remembers him.......

I’ve been quietly following this case from the beginning. I have no words... I rarely dream, or at least I rarely remember my dreams, but last night I had a vivid dream that A.J. and Lucas Hernandez were playing together in a field.
I'm sure they are. No more pain, no more fear, surrounded by love and other children just like them. Forever.

Can heroin cause problems in pregnancy?
Yes. Using heroin during pregnancy can be dangerous, even deadly. It may cause serious problems, including:

  • Birth defects. These are health conditions that are present at birth. Birth defects change the shape or function of one or more parts of the body. They can cause problems in overall health, how the body develops, or in how the body works.
  • Placental abruption. This is a serious condition in which the placenta separates from the wall of the uterus before birth. The placenta supplies the baby with food and oxygen through the umbilical cord. Placental abruption can cause very heavy bleeding and can be deadly for both mother and baby.
  • Premature birth. This is birth that happens too early, before 37 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Low birthweight. This is when a baby is born weighing less than 5 pounds, 8 ounces.
  • Neonatal abstinence syndrome (also called NAS). NAS happens when a baby is exposed to a drug in the womb before birth and then goes through drug withdrawal after birth.
  • Stillbirth. This is when a baby dies in the womb after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Sudden infant death syndrome (also SIDS). This is the unexplained death of a baby younger than 1 year old.

Illinois does not handcuff women in labor.

New Illinois law forbids shackling of pregnant women in custody | Morris Herald-News

In 1999, Illinois became the first state to ban the practice of shackling women who were in labor. That law banned restraints of any kind, including handcuffs and leg irons, used on women who were either in labor or being taken to the hospital to give birth.

Actually they still do, LE makes the decision if the woman is a flight risk.
I think they should not get any special treatment unless it pertains to the welfare of the baby. Mainly nutritional needs, imo.

Opioids are prescribed to children! An adult would need a higher dosage, of course.
Giving Opioid Prescription Pain Medicine: What Parents Need to Know (for Parents) - KidsHealth

And also FYI everyone, heroin is an opioid.

IMO, I don’t see how a child of A’s size lifted a pot of boiling water over his head.
Anyone? I can imagine an evil adult craving drugs desperately, pouring scalding water on him, racing to the ER, hoping he gets any kind of pain RX,
No dif than people we see injuring their dogs to get a pain Rx. It happens.
Moo

It happens frequently. It's why we are told to not use the front burners and/or pans with handles that stick out. AJ was plenty tall to grab and pull a pan down. No idea if it happened or not but it's not at all impossible.

I feel immense sadness for the grandmother......

Also big brother. AJ WAS LOVED.

BBM. The doctor or DCFS should have ordered a forensic child abuse examination. The fact that they didn't is why the entire region is out-raged.

In Cook County, all forensic abuse examinations are performed at Lurie Children's Hospital. That protocol protects the integrity of the examination. McHenry County has similar resources.

AJ's murder is the worst failure of the system for no reason other than incompetents fail to do their job and there are no serious consequences for their failure. A 5-yo child is old enough to be successfully forensically interviewed by a trained investigator.

There were resources available. Why these incompetents aren't fired and being prosecuted is beyond me.

Forensic Interviews

I agree. Once AJ made some sort of "outcry" he should have been removed, examined and interviewed. Especially with the history involved there. However I'm not sure how much those responding knew about the history either.

The shape of his head disturbs me.
Is this from frequent beatings?
