The person is currently being held by authorities out-of-state on charges of obstruction of justice and unlawful possession of a motor vehicle.

Extradition back to Illinois is pending.

I see that 1st and Fairview Drive is located at the SE end of the area called Prairie Park. Is that near the disc golf place? I see there is a large cemetary right there on the corner. Could that in any way confuse dogs?

This is the same corner that someone reported to the police that they may have seen Toni wandering around looking dazed. Later, after examining her picture, he wasn't so sure it had been her.

If Toni did walk down to Fairview Drive, along 1st Street, I wonder why.* The dogs did not indicate she had entered the park.

I'm confused as to the official spot where someone says they last saw her. I read somewhere 1st and Franklin yet another report indicated that she was seen SW of campus near the Elk's Lodge as if heading into the park. :waitasec:

I also noticed that in the very first interview one of her friends said that Toni stated she was going to take a walk to capture photographs (nothing specifically about Prairie Park). After that it was always reported that she said she was going to the park. Someone also said that she had returned to her dorm room first before embarking on her walk. How can anyone figure out exactly where she was accosted?

You are correct. That part of my post was a response to Woe's post 435 that referred to the reported "dazed" girl sighting location. I neglected to say that that sighting had been a false lead once it was investigated and, as you said, the burned remains had been found well before the false alert. Thanks.

*When you look at the street view on the map, you can see how wide/rural the road looks with no sidewalks. I'm having trouble picturing anyone just taking a walk down 1st street as far as Fairview Drive for no reason other than to take pictures. :waitasec: Free spirited or not.

I listened to the press conference again, the one given on October 26th. Two vague responses stuck out -

1. ... we had information that she was heading too. (sounds hinky if they think Toni ever made it to the park alive.

2. ... south of Rt. 38 in Praire Park. (in answer to where the remains were found. Rt. 38 runs east/west at the southern edge of campus, thus south of Rt. 38 encompasses the whole of Prairie Park. Specified was that the remains were found in a dense area, not in a grassy area.

If the spot where the yellow police tape is is the southern most tip of Praire Park then it would probably be a secluded area where people seldom go. But the golf place is in that southern area of the park too, I just don't understand the scale of the park.

I'm gonna speculate and bet there is a good chance the POI or person responsible for Toni's murder has burns on them, especially if the person used an accelerant. Makes me think of the perp in the Martin Caballero case who had burnt himself using gasoline to torch Martins car......

Perhaps the actual owner of the car called in a tip indicating the POI had burn marks of somekind, or scorched hair or something......

Sounds like perp may have come back to destroy the remains further? Remember, they have said the remains were found on the 16th. I guess they didn't have them guarded.

perhaps they only found partial remains on the 16th and found more between the 16th and 18th.

On October 24 a fellow student made a video (doesn't sound as if he is someone who personally knew Toni) offering his support to the Keller family and urging fellow students to be safe and not to just trust other people immediately just because they seem like someone you should trust. He specifically gave an example of someone affiliated with a larger group who you party with or something like that.

While listening to him I was thinking 'do you suspect what I suspect?'. For some unknown non scientific reason my guard went up surrounding one of her 'pals'. I'm anxious to hear what LE has discovered through interviews and electronic examinations, etc.

actually since a few people have knocked what i said because it's "rumors" or "hearsay" maybe because what im saying about more burned dead bodies is true therefore they wanna know from october 14-october 18....the reason i know theyve found another burned bodies is because i know someone who lives literally across from that park....they can take 5 steps and be in that park.... All i have to say is let the police do their job.... Because it seems like certain peoples opinions or thoughts are being criticized but the ones doing the criticizing are the know it alls! You aren't the only ones who live in dekalb!!!! I am as much concerned as all of you because i have children and i worry about their safety!!! Have a good night everybody!!!

A "person of interest" is being questioned about the homicide of 18-year-old NIU art student Antinette "Toni" Keller, DeKalb police said in a news release tonight.

"The individual is in custody on charges of obstruction of justice and unlawful possession of a motor vehicle. The extradiction of this person to Illinois is pending. The investigation into the homicide of Toni Keller continues," according to the release.

This work is actually being done by a lady from the University of West Florida in Pensacola. I think she received some of the corpses that have been burned in the past from the people in Tennessee.


One other thing I found interesting in that article is the description of the smell of a human body when it is burned that is quoted below.



Although the theory is not tested, he thinks that a decaying body smells the worse when they burn. Since we know Antinette would not have been decaying per se when she was burned, the smell might not have been what one would expect. If some describe the smell as that of barbecuing pork this might explain why no one in the park might have thought anything about a smell, if they had smelled a fire that night or day that Antinette went missing. Thinking it was just a camper cooking up some ribs.

This makes sense. On the Caylee forum I learned that only pig/pork has a certain common element to the human body in death - some chemical that would be present in both upon death. Of course, I can't remember any of the details - ugh! :crazy:

Actually Rte. 38 is a little bit north of the park and runs east and west thru DeKalb, there is no one road that emcompasses the whole of Prarie Park. The Junction Center and the RR Tracks separates Rte. 38 from the park perimeter. Hope that helps?

ETA: On the map that nukeofduke was so kind to provide Rte. 38 is referred to as Lincoln Highway.

Any claims that are made are considered rumor and heresay until it hits MSM, that's always the case here. It isn't that people are picking on you, it is just that any claims made that have not been verified by LE or media is rumor. SWIM? (See What I Mean?)

If, as you claim other burned bodies have been found, why have they not been reported do you think?

By repeating rumors such at this until it has been verified will only incite panic and if it turns out to be untrue what good would that do?

The NIU exit out of Dekalb is commonly Annie Glidden South to Interstate 88. A person in Dekalb usually pays a toll via I-pass. These booths also have camera if your car blows the toll.
Ipass is an electronic date time stamp of your driving on the tollways. All of I88 is toll from I80 on the west to I 290 to the east.

Don't take it to heart SEMAJMAL; it's happened to me too. Your opinion and ideas are worthy too. Don't let peeps intimidate you.
