GUILTY IL - Antinette 'Toni' Keller, 18, DeKalb, NIU Student, 14 October 2010

That's VERY interesting! So the 21st, right? Was he sure it was a body bag? Could it have been just a bag of other evidence? If it was her body, and they found her on the 16th - wonder why they would wait until the 21st to remove it. To catch the killer (curl) coming back to the scene? Or did they not really find it until the 21st? If LE found the body on the 16th, would they leave it there in order to see if someone returned to the scene - or would that be unethical and something they wouldn't do? Do you have the impression from your friend that there was more left of the remains than LE has led us to believe? Interesting!!

My friend was in the military (Marine I think) and is middle-aged man. He didn't give me any other details.

Ok, well thanks for that info. I'd be interested to hear what others on this forum think about it. I think it's really interesting news! Thanks again.

If you go to the whitepages.com and search for Curl in DeKalb You will get William Curl age 34 and a partial email address for him.. and it reads..Evilbrother6_ _@ _ _ _ and for $19.95 you can get the full address and phone number and profile..But I'm guessing the full email is Evilbrother666@_ _ _. That is a little creepy.

I seen NG tonight and she was talking about a teen that might be missing involving a vampire cult, drinking blood and all kinds of other strange things and it got me thinking about this email address. (666)

What are the chances Billy did some kind of satanic sacrifice by killing and burning Toni's body? Maybe that is what he told his PD and that is why she had ordered the physiological evaluation. JMO

You rock, Joe Friday! Great time-line. The following article gives more clarity to Curl's movements:

http://www.suntimes.com/news/2847264,niu-toni-keller-homicide-102810.article

Specifically, within the article:

"Police believe Curl left Illinois Oct. 23. At some point, police alleged, Curl took his mother’s car without her permission, and ended up in Mexico. They said he came back to the U.S. on Monday.

Detectives flew to Louisiana to continue the investigation. They found Curl looking for work as a day laborer in Covington, Feithen said.

Curl was initially arrested Tuesday night in Convington on the warrant, which charged him with obstruction of justice and car theft. Authorities searched his motel room and his apartment in DeKalb, although police did not say if anything material was found. Curl waived extradition."

So Curl was arrested in Louisiana on Tuesday, October 26th (my bad, I thought they arrested him as he entered the US, not after.)

BBM ~ That's a hard drive for one person to make. He left on Saturday the 23rd and drove to Mexico, then to Louisiana by Tuesday the 26th. He must have entered Mexico and exited Mexico within the same day.

Saturday the 23rd, left Dekalb, time unknown, for Mexico
Sunday the 24th
Monday the 25th, re-entered the U.S.
Tuesday the 26th, placed under arrest in Louisiana
Wednesday the 27th
Thursday the 28th
Friday the 29th
Saturday the 30th, 10:30 AM Court in DeKalb

He drove over 1600 miles to Mexico and from Mexico to Louisiana within three days. What did he do in Mexico? He didn't stay long.

from the link wbg' posted above.

Stuckert asked Curl if he understood he would have to register as an arsonist and sex offender if convicted....

BBM. Register as an arsonist? :waitasec: I never heard of that before. Is there an IL arsonist registry somewhere?

Also from link wbg' posted.
the case "won't go to trial for a long time."

Uh huh, but has Curl waived his right to a speedy trial? :waitasec:
I haven't read anywhere that he has. Hmmmm.....

Me thinks prosecution is hoping for a long time because they will need that much time to build their case, but that is jmo. (only jmo because I am not reading confidence in their MSM statements. )

I can not find an online arsonist registry for Illinois. Lots of articles about them for a few states, but no actual online registry for Illinois. Can anyone find it?

If it has been reported Curl has a history with fires, why isn't he already on this registry? :waitasec: And what info does LE have that Curl had a history with fires if he isn't on this registry.... I'm presuming he is not currently on the registry based on the comments in the MSM article wbg' posted.

BBM -

I haven't read where exactly he ended up in Mexico...but just guessing he took the quickest, straightest route there which would have put him in Mex. @ the TX border...he probably got down there & realized it was *not* safe - people are dying on towns on both sides of the border every day due to the gang wars (Gulf Cartel & Zetas)...IMO, it scared the carp outta him & he left...JMO/MOO, etc.etc.

do you guys think that when the defense get's their discovery motion filed that more information will be released to the public...or will they keep it all under wraps too?

I can't find it either Cubby. This link of press releases from on the Illinois.gov webpage says that the registry will be available on the Illinois State Fire Marshall website. But i looked there and didn't find it.

You make a very good point Texas Mist. I didn't even think of how dangerous it is in Mexico these days.

However, I do find it a bit odd though for someone who had just comitted the most brutal murder to be afraid of a drug cartel.

I really hope that LE has the right guy. He has been gaining some support from some locals that know him. I only say this becasue I've read the comments on the articles in the daily chronicle.

For some reason I think someone was with him on that trip though. Maybe they decided they would flee to Mexico and once there WPC's conscience got the better of him? Maybe he thought of his son and decided he couldn't leave?

I don't know, it just doesn't make sense to me. I really hope LE has the right guy and has all the evidence they need to convict but just aren't revealing anything at the moment.

From what I've seen, killers are generally much more concerned about themselves than their victims or those they left behind.

Also, Curl may have realized that being a nerdy looking blonde-haired white guy who (I'm just guessing) spoke no Spanish, it was gonna be really hard to hide out down there...and he'd be an easy mark for criminals & corrupt policia (because I bet he's a wimp around anybody meaner than him.)

I don't think he thought it out - he was panicked & went on the run & then when he got to Mexico, realized it was gonna be hard to survive there...I think he had no idea what a Mexico border town was like & would be easier for him to find a job to get cash to live day-to-day in LA....JMO/MOO, ya know.

Excellent weather link about the weather conditions for DeKalb, IL for the 14th. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see graph and reading for wind speed, wind direction and wind gusts every 20 min.

http://www.wunderground.com/history...tml?req_city=NA&req_state=NA&req_statename=NA

It looks like from appx 6pm to 9:45pm the 14th the winds were relatively slow, under 10mph. Much higher wind speeds the afternoon of the 14th and between appx 10pm and midnight the 14th.

Then, if you adjust the date in the link from the 14th to the 15th it wasn't too windy on the 15th.

Of course I'm wondering with the above wind info if 1)someone might have smelled a bad burning smell during high wind times -or- 2) If perhaps Curl spent the entire night from the 14th through the 15th in the park burning Toni's body.

Wunderground is a fantastic link for historical weather data and very detailed info.

Your guess is as good as mine.
