"Four Aurora police officers and multiple civilians have been wounded and the suspected shooter is still at large in an industrial area near Prairie and Highland avenues, according to preliminary reports from the scene.

There are unconfirmed reports that at least one civilian is dead. Multiple victims are being airlifted to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove."

SWAT and police were also responding to the water valve manufacturing company, Henry Pratt Company, which is reportedly the biggest of its kind in America.

All police command staff left their posts to be present at the scene.

Aurora Police confirmed the situation is ongoing. “We have an ongoing active shooter incident at 641 Archer Av. This is an ongoing active scene. We will provide more information once confirmed,” the police department tweeted. “This is an active scene. Please avoid the area.”
