Authorities are asking for the publics help in identifying a woman who died after setting herself on fire Friday afternoon at a gas station in northwest suburban Buffalo Grove, police said. Emergency crews were called about 4:15 p.m. to a fire near the pumps at the Circle K station at 50 W. Lake Cook Road, according to Buffalo Grove police and fire officials. A woman with severe burns across her body was taken to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, where she died at 11:37 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiners office. Witnesses said she had doused her body and clothing in gasoline before intentionally setting herself on fire, police said.
