Welcome Stock! Glad you joined us. Curious, are you saying that after leaving the steak and shake she could only go one direction? Thanks so much

All of the intersections to and from Steak n Shake have cameras on top of the stop lights. As well as Kohls outside North 2nd, in front of home depot(corner faces steak n shake, and target has great cameras outside to the left of steak n shake at corner. Cameras on stop lights in front of rascals and outside of OSF campus. Cameras at intersection of all the main roads off 173 all the way up to Perryville before Rock Cut.

Thanks for your insight on the placement of cameras. It seems that it would not be possible to get to or from the Steak N Shake without seeing a camera. Are those red light cameras? If they are they may only operate for a few seconds at each change of the lights taking still images. Either way., hopefully the police have looked into those cameras.

I wouldnt call them red light cameras as I do not know anyone that has received a ticket from running a red which you see often here in the city. They are placed on top of the streetlights on the bar connecting them to the pole. Look up and you will see them at nearly every major intersection and ALL new constructed poles here.

they are not cameras for tickets but rather for tracking in my opinion. Chicago and the better suburbs have the cameras for red light and ticket use, not here yet.

Basically your telling us, a camera should have picked her up in almost every direction after leaving the steak and shake?[emoji4]

Imo, small blogs like Rickie's RockfordScanner could bring out some new thoughts or ideas on this case from coworkers or friends that just want to get their opinion out there. Im sure a lot of people from the attached bowling alley and customers have to have some thought? You never know.

Im one of the few private people without facebook or twitter.

Did you mean to attach a link to the bowling alley?

no, attached as in the bowling alley is attached to the building with the small bar. The owners own several in the area and they almost follow the same formats inside. Bowling alley and leagues attract the same customers who would have saw this woman likely on a weekly basis and not just your average bar customers.

i emailed Rockford Scanner to ask if they would consider another post regarding this poor woman.

You never know what someone out there knows or saw. A simole post could lead to some answers or ideas and hopefully a good outcome for family and friends.

Rickie has her info as the banner on the RS Facebook page. I haven't seen him post about her but the Loves Park scanner page has posted a lot.

Someone (the family, I'm assuming) has organized a search for her on Saturday.

Hello, im local and joined just to reply to this after seeing her missing poster at our local dollar general.

All these newer intersections and all the ones near Steak n Shake in Machesney Park have cameras on the top of the signals on the main roads. Just look up there and you will see them. Every intersection on 173 to and from Steak N shake and on the way to Walmart as well. A block away behind cvs and valli produce on the way to walmart on Alpine and Riverside.

Rock Cut park would be closed and blocked off from traffic via a locked gate at entrances and exit at that time of night so her car did not make it there that late at night.

ETA: the Rockford and Loves Park police are very inept. You wont find any police in Loves Park willing to do any work other than speed traps on North Second, go to a 24 hour Mcdonalds on Charles St and you will see a gathering of 10-15 paid police officers sitting for hours in the restaurant talking for hours and not doing their job.
I don't know much about LPPD but I know several RPD officers and have a couple friends who are married to officers on the department and I really do think RPD tries they are just stretched so thin.

I do wonder if loves/machesney park police or Winnebago county sheriff have checked traffic cameras. It seems like they should be able to figure out which way her car went after it left steak n shake.

They're meeting behind the steak n shake on 173 at noon. It's a Facebook event so you might not be able to see it if you're not on Facebook

Caitlin deleted her FB today. I haven't seen anyone connected to her say anything that might indicate a reason why

Caitlin deleted her Facebook page in part because people kept tagging her in news stories about bodies being found.

[h=1]Search Party for Missing Loves Park Woman, Emily Anderson[/h]
On Saturday and Sunday, Anderson's family and community members will walk around searching for any traces of Emily. Her disappearance remains shrouded in mystery.

"We would really like to search the embankments of where she was last seen, which was at Steak 'n Shake," said Dull. "[We'll] see if anything was thrown or scattered."

The search party will consist of community members volunteering their time. During the search, Dull says if anything seems suspicious, they'll contact the police to further investigate their findings. Volunteers will be asked to leave their names on a sign-in sheet in order for the family to individually thank them.
The search party will start Saturday and Sunday at noon at the Gordman's Parking lot in Machesney Park. They plan to search for about an hour.

Super news....Stock told us a page back that cameras outside steak and shake should have picked her up in every direction. FBI would be able to grab the pics and see what happened.

Yes. That would help. I really hope the FBI is getting all of her phone information. They can get it much easier. Plus the presence of the State Police or the FBI means that when talking with any individuals they have much more to be concerned about if they have skeletons in their closet. Either of those LE agencies are less inclined to "not see" things if it will give them leverage.

Any idea how long it would take for FBI to move with investigations? Do they start over at the beginning?
