Found Deceased IL - Emily Anderson, 25, Loves Park, 19 June 2017

Any idea how long it would take for FBI to move with investigations? Do they start over at the beginning?

I guess much of this depends on the resources each of the agencies are providing. If they are providing investigators then I expect they would start at the beginning. I think much can be developed if they obtain the phone information for Emily's phone and the phone(s) of the last people she was in contact with - especially if LE can determine via cell tower data whether any of those phone(s) she was last in contact with were in close proximity to her phone - as well as her movements and ultimately the last known location of her phone. At this point that would be most helpful in trying to find her.

[h=1]Searchers comb Machesney Park for missing Loves Park woman[/h]
MACHESNEY PARK — Friends, family and strangers to the family of Emily Anne Dull Anderson looked through shrubbery, peered down sewer drains and trudged through swampy meadows today, hoping to find clues in the disappearance of the Loves Park woman.
About 30 family, friends and others showed up by noon today in the parking lot of the former Gordmans store along Illinois Route 173 — in the same shopping area where the Steak ’n Shake is located — to search for anything that might help explain what happened to Anderson. They split up in groups and checked behind department stores, along the busy highway and just about everywhere in between. There is a $10,000 reward for information that brings Anderson home safe.

Caitlin Dull, Anderson’s sister, said Emily is a homebody. Their mother died when they were very young, so they were raised by their father, Tom Dull.

Did she perhaps meet up with someone who shared one of her interests and things went wrong? ... MOO

There are some things on Emily's social media that bring up a lot of questions, and I agree this is one of them for me. It all reminds me of Chelsea Bruck, including the confusing sequence of events.

A few things I wish we could nail down:

1. What two bars do they have video from? Neighbor's and Rascal's? Shooters and Neighbor's? Neighbor's and Slots of Fortune?
2. How are they corroborating she made the purchase at Stake n Shake? If they have an eyewitness and a receipt, then they should know if she was with someone or not. My guess is she was with someone else - Emily doesn't strike me as someone that would drive up there in the middle of the night to eat alone at a sit-down place
3. Was the 5am text verified?

I checked backpage - nothing I can identify as linked to Emily. I don't know how sophisticated she was about her hobby, as far as getting into underground communities. She doesn't even have a model mayhem or suicide girls profile, for example.

I wonder what the sequence of events was. Seems to make sense that it was (1) Shooters (2) Neighbors (3) Rascals and then (4) Steak n Shake.

If there were cameras at Rascals maybe she left with someone to go eat. Who knows what happened but sending prayers for her safe return.

Stock told us earlier in the thread that after coming out of the steak and shake, a camera could pick up Emily's image from any direction.

Cameras set up at intersection a block down at OSF Rock Cut and on intersection of 173 at every stop light on the way.

I have already called and checked. There are 2 vehicles that match the description with no plates. Neither is hers.

I normally don't mention tips I make in a case but on the off chance that the police did not follow up on this anyone reading that has access to the family should have them check on this vehicle that was impounded in Chicago on July 7th. Chicago police may not have run the VIN (if it truly did not have plates) prior to towing it.

07/07/2017 PONT GRA 2D SIL IL 10300 S. Doty (773) 568-8495 2826083

The inventory number is 2826083. They likely would need to know the VIN. The family should be able to get that (if they don't already have it) from the insurance agent who handled insurance for Emily.

Obviously, this could very likely not be her car.

I keep checking the Chicago impounds for any Pontiac 2 door silver or gray since with a place like Chicago a car could sit somewhere for quite awhile without getting towed. The impounds by police have at least a description of the car. Relocations by other Chicago agencies/entities (forestry, for example) on the other hand usually have a handful of entries per day with no description of the vehicle that was relocated. So it is always possible to be in one of those. A lot depends on the people involved in towing and impounding the vehicle to record the VIN properly as well.

Hopefully the Loves Park police and/or the other agencies now assisting them have checked the state systems to see if anyone other than Loves Park police (during the investigation) has run her plate or VIN or a title transfer (auctioned from impound) occurred or was attempted with that VIN.

Yes, however few have direct vehicle access. This is why knowing whether we are looking at a potential accident or a potential crime/suicide makes a very big difference in search area. There are very few places to accidentally end up in water - one example is way north toward Roscoe if she had been on southbound N 2nd Street, taken a right onto Swanson Rd and went straight off into the reservoir. Another is taking Ralston Rd west over the river, then taking a right onto the railroad tracks. I think that route should be searched, including the sand bar leading right down to the river simply because a perp may think of it as a quick place to conceal a body. All of the retention ponds in the little triangle composing this scene are in the process of being searched according to friends and family. It is honestly not something the public is going to be able to help them with very much right now as we are not being told who she was with or could have been with, so there is no way to map out areas that are potentially familiar to them. As creepy as Windsor lake and the fields around Neighbor's are, I don't think she is that close. It is really easy to look at a google map and find places to hide or commit a crime, but another to narrow those down to areas that a person would be aware of and know how to get to in the dark without detection, quickly. One consideration is Willow Creek, for example. Did Emily like walking the Willow Creek path? Did she ever cut across the drainage canal behind her house to get to and from Shooters? In other words, is it possible she left her car in one place, and traveled to another on foot?

There is a vigil tonight at Whiskey's Roadhouse at 8PM CST and another search this weekend. If we can begin narrowing down some logical search areas for them it would be a tremendous help, as I don't believe they are going to find anything of value searching the area around the Stake n Shake again at this point.

Has anyone reached out to (or know) family/friends that may join as a VI?

Her car could have been moved early in the morning while it is getting light out but depending on the area within the Rockford area too early for many commuters to be out and about. Sunrise on June 19th was 5:20am. So it isn't necessarily the case that darkness restricts potential areas.

I know that there are a number of places in the area where a vehicle can be behind buildings and not be visible from a road and thus not seen by anyone driving down the road looking for her car. This is especially true if any of the buildings are abandoned or lightly used.

One such example:
attachment.php

In particular, the area behind the building just to the left of Auto Enhancers as seen in this shot. The space between that building and the one to left of it. And you can also see a notch that runs northward only partially between two buildings west of that - there is a tree blocking behind the building on the east corner of the building so the notch is only accessible from the parking lot to the west and around the building.

Also, the dirt road/path that runs between 18th and Blackhawk Park Ave just to the east of the railroad tracks and behind those buildings along Kishwaukee.

My concern is that anyone checking out those areas didn't know or didn't check behind buildings and up dirt path/alleys - you do have to get all the way into the area to see if anything is there.

I know exacly what you mean. Relocate companies don't always report when they should.
