gas explosion completely unrelated to garren. just poor luck for the guy that owned the house.

this is from a previously quoted post and it does say that there is no evidence that garren ever was at the station and that his ticket was not used, so i guess there must be record of a ticket purchased in his name but never boarded the train. i have taken the zypher a lot out west and this time of year if he loved to ski he could have hopped on the "ski train" in colorado if he was taking that route from chicago....but there again there would be record of him boarding the train... im particularly curious of this house explosion...what kind of explosion?? natural gas for heating, or something more nefarious than that?? i dont want to suggest anything criminal, but its not everyday that someones house explodes. i was just thinking that if there was no record that garren was at the house during this time and if the owner was up to anything criminal he may not want it to be known that garren was there???? idk...what are you thinking?

I was curious if it had been confirmed about not using the Amtrak ticket.
I think it was emtp02 that said that.
And I have not found anything about a house explosion
and cadaver sniffing dogs brought in.
I thought at first he got off somewhere and went skiing.
He seems to love the sport.

I am thinking we don't even have 1/10th of the story.

I am thinking who is the person who dropped him off?
Friend, relative, relative's neighbor?
Did they see Garren go into Union Station?

I'm from Ashland and have known Garren since I was about 8 years old (25 years old now.) My parents employed him for years, starting when he was in his early 20's. This is very uncharacteristic of Garren and has left plenty of us very worried. Here are some bits of info I feel are important to share:

Garren was roommates in Ashland with his cousin, Ryan Smith. Still confirming whether they were still living together when Garren left for the midwest.

Garren sold his car to Ryan's brother, Tony.

Mike Kuckuck was released from jail in January and moved in with Garren and Ryan. There was some kind of falling out, and Garren kicked Mike out. Mike returned to Indiana and rented a home there, which has been reported as "blowing up" on Nov. 24, one day prior to Garren being reported as missing.

It appears Garren was visiting Mike in Lake Eliza, Indiana (short distance from Chicago) and Ryan may or may not have been there. He reportedly met up with Ryan at some point and has not been seen or heard from since. Ryan returned to Ashland, packed up a moving van, and said he was leaving for his grandmother's place on Nov. 26th or 27th. He has not been heard from since.

Per Porter County PD (where the house burned down,) the police are in contact with Mike and are trying to gather any and all information he may be able to provide.

Please, if anyone has ANY information regarding this case, pass it along. Post it online, call the police, do SOMETHING to help spread the word. We need to find out what happened and how we can bring Garren home!

You said that you are Garren's cousin? I'm assuming you know or are at least familiar with his cousin Ryan who was one of the last people who saw Garren. Could you provide any additional information about the nature of their relationship, where his grandmother's house may be, where else he may be headed or have connections, etc?

The home had been torn down by Monday afternoon, Ms. Norton said, and was just a pile of burnt wood.

The house, owned by Cynthia Breitinger, was rented to Michael Kuckuck, who was not at the home during the fire, according to the police report.

No one was injured.

Another neighbor, Dale Agonis, told police he had smelled natural gas Saturday in the corner of his yard near where the house fire occurred.

Police contacted Kuckuck, and he stated he was out of town and nobody was inside the home. He told police he had no idea why the house would catch fire.

Police said was apparently in Northwest Indiana in mid-November, spending time at a home in Lake Eliza. He visited at least one family member and one friend during his stay.
Beller was reportedly dropped off at a Chicago train station on Nov. 19 to take an Amtrak train to Portland Ore., but he never used his ticket.
The Lake Eliza home where he had been exploded and burned on Nov. 23. The cause has not been determined and nobody was found to be inside the home at the time of the incident.

Here is an article about the fire which occured in Porter County, IN:

Mike K. (Garren's friend)told investigators he was out of town, no one was in the house and he had no idea why it would blow up. Neighbors reported smelling gas in the days leading up to the fire. I can't help but be a little suspicious as to if that explosion was set intentionally to cover up something.

A question: When can APD get a warrant for his cell phone pings? How long does he have to be missing until they can consider him missing under suspicious circumstances? Possible crime victim?

I was right there last time garren got a call from cousin # 1 he said he had a 120 k ready to go but was schetching on guarding his wife MM who just had a brand new baby he needed to go collect more money. goggle that name and it will come up with a blog from myspace from a girl named SN or SJ on myspace. the day Iwent looking for garren at his house a package was just arriving from SN who lives at XXXX. packages were suppose to come from cousins dad garrens uncle a while before all this. cousin # 2 TS had already drove to hobart once came bac with only enough money to cover bills, garren some how got some one else big to get involved TS left again with that involvement. People there was over a quarter million dollars involved his cousins smoke his . I have so much more info i am kinda bouncing around on the story. Then MM is back here buying a brand new 9 mm pistol and there trying to tell storys that are far from truth.

What's all the money talk about? That is a lot of money, if it is cash. Why did MM feel she needed to buy a gun? Sounds like she is scared? Where are RS and TS now? Has anyone spoken to them about where Garren might be? Is the explosion at MK rented house really just an unfortunate coincidence?

Just to reiterate the point: You may use someone's description,
i.e., Garren's ex gf,
initials like mm
or say lived very near Garren in Ashland or up the Greensprings...
Using initials is good.

Several of us have researched the Indiana house that caught fire and burned to the ground.
From what you are posting,
Garren's cousin, and a friend, may have caused his death or disappearance.

This is my take on what you posted:
Correct me if I am wrong:

there is quarter of a million dollars involved.
package from sn came while you were picking up the dog.
his cousins killed garren.
mm, cousin 1, R, wife comes back to town and buys a 9 mm gun
and is telling stories.

you went to garren's house to get his dog willie.
you found a burned area in back of the house by the retaining wall.
you took the dog to jg, garren's ex.
she called mm, then, cousin number 2, R, came and took the dog
when you were not there.
they took willie with them when they left.
cousin number 1, T, is driving garren's car, a 4 runner.
car might be registered to a pizza business.
and whoever has the dog and car probably is the murderer.

Is all that correct?

check this lead garrens cousin # 1 Ryan lived up green springs three years ago with garrens granny. This old guy who might have been a grower was murdered up there and his house was burned with him in there. Just a thought there might be a connection??

ot: man referred to is David Lewis, found dead inside his burned out cabin, Sept. 4, 2008. No evidence that he was a grower. His case linked to another murder that was discovered the same day, Sept. 4, 2008.
