MISSING PERSON

Springfield, Illinois-The Springfield Police Department is currently investigating a missing female who was last seen on February 8, 2025 at approximately 5:30 a.m., near the area of North Dirksen Parkway and Ridge Avenue.

Georgia A. Holder, 51 years old was last seen wearing a blue nightgown, black coat with stripes, and slippers and socks. She is described as being 5’4”, 90 pounds, brown hair, blue eyes, and glasses.

Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to call the Springfield Police Department at 217.788.8311 and/or Sangamon/Menard County Crime Stoppers at 217.788.8427.

Perhaps it's just the photo but the look of her jaw in the photos, and the set of her mouth, I'm thinking she does not have a full set of teeth (which would help in identifying her outside of what she was wearing when last seen). I hope she is found, she looks pretty frail, definately not dressed for being outside this time of year. Illinois is going to get snow tonight,

"Everyone's freaking out, not knowing where she's at and praying that she's still alive and not knowing who has her and if they do what they could be doing with her. We're praying. I mean that's all we can do is pray at this moment," Jeremy said

"Y'know leaving Casey's alone. Y'know what I mean--so I'm thinking some weirdo out there has her and that's the worst thing you know that could happen," Jeremy said.

Sadly, Georgia was found deceased a couple of miles from where she was last seen.

Heartbroken for her loved ones. This is my town. Her family was tireless in sharing her missing info, contacting LE and media, organizing searches. I was planning to participate in a search this coming weekend. No longer necessary
