Agreed, they thought that she would be just fine in the lobby, but she wasn't, was she? They have to live with that now, and quit blaming the hotel, LE, and shadows in the halls. The hotel staff are not babysitters. It's an airport motel, they've likely seen it all. One becomes conditioned.

I'm sorry, but in KJ's condition, no real friends will leave her completely alone in the lobby. And it was three others?

No.

I think they didn't know she left the room. One notices eventually. Two probably go look around on the floor. they probably come back and tell the third. One of them didn't give a damn or think it was serious enough to launch a search party. They eventually get on the same page and go look. they eventually call the mom.

I've been in these types of situations and I'm usually the friend that everyone else is telling "She's fine. She'll be back." I am the friend that goes bananas and then here comes my friend finally, either with a dude or some food or something. And you don't want to go too far in case your friend is trying to find you, you know?

But friends will walk the hell off while you are not looking. Especially at a party.

I don't disagree with you at all, and believe that is probably likely. But I'm having trouble getting my brain around why they would lie. Isn't it worse if they left her alone in the lobby? I would think that mom would be less upset about her wandering out of the room when nobody was looking. The fact that they said they were all leaving together and then separated makes them look way worse. Plus, this is so easy to verify or disprove by looking at security videos. So if they lied, they had to have a very strong reason. Any ideas?

Hmm. So I think I was right?

This is what I came up with earlier today

Indeed! We are still on the right track

Updated it with a possible route based on what's released. Not sure if the kitchen photos would be reversed though hard to tell in that video / in general but I think the hallway she recorded isn't in the video, but she veered left then went into the final kitchen area video. Ironically I was working on this, came back to the thread and saw the video!

Turned the corner photo to reflect the angle of the hallway.

Edit - Actually now that I watch her video again I'm not too sure about the corner photo but I can't see where else it would fit.

It's something lik that, and we can see that this apparently happened within like 10 minutes. It's very sad.

Exactly it s an airport hotel Had a terrorist walked around undetected in unsecured areas planting bombs would you still say the hotel is not a baby sitter ?

The family is trying to raise money for a second autopsy. This case will not be resolved for quite some time. And I'm betting they will find someone that will give them the results they want.

:) It seems that way!

Updated it with where I think that video I'm not sure of may actually be, I thought that was a corner you can turn but I realized it's only wall there. I'm really not sure about that one.

Lol depends what you call a fancy laptop - I do graphic design as a day job.

If that happened, I don't think I would blame the hotel. We can't monitor every public space every minute of the day. I would probably blame the FBI, because the terrorist would have probably been on their "watch list" for a long time before he blew anything up.

So raising money for a second autopsy takes priority over watching the surveillance tapes? I really wish her mom would watch the tapes before anything else.

Why does it take three people to retrieve a phone?

Explain how you came up with whatever "happened within like 10mins."

Just curious.

And do they even have the results of the initial autopsy yet??

I didn't mean to direct any attitude at you. I just feel strongly about it.

A far as them lying...

They are young, drunk, and guilty. They lost her. It's on them. And we don't know how long she'd been lost. Maybe they didn't pay attention all the way until 4am? We don't know. and maybe they last remembered her at like 2am. So they have to cover for that. Why don't you know where she is from 2am to 430am? Know what I mean?

I don't believe they realize that their story is bunk. but they have to have a reason that none of the 3 of them were with her but knew where she was. Maybe they thought it sounded better to say that than they didn't know what the hell happened to her. She just suddenly wasn't even there and they don't even know when she left.

Maybe they were doing something that made it so they didn't know and they don't want anyone to know what that activity was. I don't know, but I don't believe 3 people need to go upstairs but KJ doesn't go with them. Why?

Let's say she is drugged out of her mind. She needs air. One of them is with her on the elevator. They decide to go back up and get the others. KJ just gets off the elevator, saying she's going to get air. Maybe it happened like that. But 3 do not need to go back up without the 4th. At the most, I'd say two go up and two stay down.

The only way I can see that happening is if all 3 left their stuff up there, and while they are in the elevator, they decide not to get off, but KJ insists. But you don't even see them try to catch her or stop her from getting off.

ETA. The condition she is in is so serious that I can't see anyone leaving her by herself. It's more dangerous than leaving a toddler at that point. If she was that smashed--and it was on purpurse--maybe they were, too, and they lied to cover for it. Maybe that all did some drug, but KJ had the wrong reaction. I don't know.

She got off the elevator at 324am. she walked through the kitchen at 332am.

I believe she left the room at probably 322am. walked off camera toward freezer at 332am and that's the end. maybe 12 minutes?

I don't believe she roamed all over that hotel. She was just in the elevator and on the conference level floor before going into the freezer. What if she thought she'd get some food once she realized she was in a kitchen? I don't know. She was drugged and could have been hungry. She left her house at 1130pm. Just brainstorming.

This is a pretty interesting article regarding autopsies IMO https://www.forensicmag.com/article/2015/09/7-common-mistakes-regarding-autopsy-reports

From above article ...

“Pending" means you have to wait for the results. It does not mean "we don't know.”*It does not mean that the autopsy findings were "inconclusive.” Something is inconclusive when you cannot draw conclusions about it after all the information is available. The autopsy itself may be conclusive, but the medical examiner is not going to tell you that—because they are still working to complete the death investigation, and that will take some time.

Edit to make it clearer - they didn't say her autopsy was inconclusive. They said it was inconclusive pending further study and will take time. FWIW I also believe it was a tragic accident

Quoting my earlier post regarding the autopsy. So no, her family doesn't know the results yet but are already raising money for a second autopsy. It's as if they already anticipate that they aren't going to like what they hear. JMO

To clean what? What would there be to clean? A drunk girl got dodged by her friends and staggered off and froze to death in a freezer.

If someone attacked her and drug her to the freezer, then why would they want to clean that up? I'm sorry CARIIS, I can't see a giant conspiracy over this. It's like all the drunk guys that were disappearing up around that bar in the north east, and they'd find them drowned. What they were doing was going down there to take a leak at the water's edge, staggering around, and falling into the water, and drowning. Drunk people do stupid things. My friend went camping in the mountains, he was an experienced camper but also an alcoholic. He went to take a leak, drunk, in the middle of the night and fell off of a cliff. Thankfully he grabbed onto a scrub pine and held on until help found him, or he'd have died much younger than he did, from the alcoholism. I nearly drowned from deciding to swim across a major river. Had a friend on the bank not seen me go under, I'd not be here today. I made it across just fine, and almost made it back, but misjudged where the bank started, and went down. It's a terrible thing that happened but it happens every day. It's not the hotel's fault, honestly. They lied when the rented the room with a stolen credit card. None of them were even registered under their own name. Most of this falls on poor choices made by KJ and her "friends". We can't bubble wrap the world.
Do you blame Natalie Holloway for her fate?

I see her put a white cell phone in her back right pocket, then I see her holding it in her left hand and putting what looks like ear buds on as if she is making, answering a call or listening to music.
I also see it in her right pocket in the kitchen.
So who's cell phone did she have?

Well, and I think one big issue is that they were all this messed up! All of the "why did they (blank)" is the same as saying "why didn't she just go back up the elevator". The answer is simply because they were impaired enough not to be able to make sound and logical decisions. It could have taken 3 people to remember the room and get there. If that were me, I 1 million percent would have had to pee again already, so I would go back up so I could go to the bathroom before leaving. I don't think anyone thought she would wander into a freezer. And I don't think anyone tried to put her in a bad situation. I think they all made their own decisions that put all of them into bad situations, that night. That's all just my opinion.

Irene's video, them driving the mom's car home, a drive of at least a :30 minutes to her house, asking the desk clerk about her before they left, there was someone there who was pretty level headed or they'd been pulled over.
