What does "hardly ever" means, exactly? She either has a drink or she doesn't. Not a big drinker not used to alcohol could mean even relatively small amount of alcohol would mess her up.
Yeah I don't put a lot of credence into what the mother says regarding the drinking "knowledge" of her 19 year old daughter. She is an underage drinker, she is leaving the house at 11;30 pm to go to a birthday party for her friend at a hotel 45 minutes away (reportedly that far). A hotel room paid for with identify theft. (whether she knows that or not is irrelvevant). With drug being smoked and taken and drinking. Hard to assess based on the circumstances she found her self in. Did she go in a report to her mother oh I was out drinking or I was out with friends who were drinking but I don't to any of that because I can't handle it. Really, that statement is not worth a sheet of paper it could be written on.

KJ was found in the freezer, in the vicinity of the construction area, where the new restaurant (CaddyShack) was being built. That restaurant is on the same level as the lobby. It's not located in the basement.

"It was not clear who located Jenkins' body, but Mack said the hotel was doing some construction in the area where she was found. Martin said she was told the freezer Jenkins was in was turned on and cold but was not being used to store food.

"I just happen to know there's work being done on some new facilities over there, so there is some construction activity where a new restaurant is being built, and (she was found) in that vicinity," Mack said. "This is not an area where anyone would typically be who was a guest in the hotel."

When the media interviewed KJ's sister, she told them she was taken to see her sister's body and she went through 2 white doors on the lobby level into a kitchen area under construction. She said that's where the freezer and body was at. I thought we ALL agreed on that.

You are correct. The sister seems to be much more credible than anyone else. I remember her saying the white doors and then another door to the freezer area.

I think our first impression from the police statement was two different floors, although after thinking about it, that may (or may not) be correct. They could have meant two separate areas of the same “space’. However, adding in what the sister has said, I lean toward two different floors.

KJ's mother said she wasn't a big drinker. She apparently couldn't handle alcohol very well. If you watch those videos, you hardly ever see a drink in her hand except the one that the girl gave her. She was drugged and whatever it was, messed her up. I'm surprised she never fell down while wandering the halls in the basement.

Yep, that’s what mom said, However, as teens did we tell our parents everything we did? From some of the videos of Kenneka herself that are out there, she is with a drink or references drinks. And reading her comments in some of her FB friends pages, she talks about drinks and drugs. Whether she over-indulged, I can’t say, but I would be willing to bet she did drink at the very least. I am still of the suspicion her drink was drugged without her knowledge.

You may be right. I am just so bad at interpreting 'hip' young people's party talk. It is hard for me to understand what they are really saying.

I will have to have my 25 yr old daughter come watch the video, and see how she deciphers it. She is fluent in the language.

I can barely decipher a word of the videos or the posts being made. It is like reading a foreign language. But I am not good at shortcuts for messages, either. Can we hire your daughter to be our consultant?

The msm articles say freezer was in the basement, not in the lobby.

are you sure? I think (but can’t recall without double-checking) they have said the last time she was seen on surveillance was in the basement, and she was found in the freezer (but does not say if the freezer was actually there in the same area). I could be mistaken, but I think it comes down to how each of us interprets what has been said (and info accumulated) from that date to now.

I've seen a bunch of articles claiming freezer was in the basement.
"...body was discovered in an industrial size walk-in freezer in the basement of the hotel..."

Check that 911 tape. Didn't the police officer who found JK's frozen body tell the dispatcher he was in the area by the docks and the garbage. Loading docks, as far as I know, are always on the 1st level or floor and not in the basement. Garbage trucks would use the loading dock too. JMO

I've never been in this Crowne Plaza, but I have been a guest in another Crowne Plaza Conference center hotel during a tornado warning in which we had to shelter in the basement. We stayed in a hallway where usually only staff are allowed and periodically checked an emergency exit to see if the tornado sirens had stopped. There were most definitely loading docks off the basement exit of that hotel. The driveway upto the loading docks went down into the ground to access the basement level. I'm not saying it's like that in Rosemont, but someone needs to actually go to the Crown Plaza in Rosemont to settle this, IMO.

I realize there's no video cameras where KJ was found. But now that the investigation is over or at least winding down and the evidence has been collected, wouldn't it help this whole situation if someone took some pictures of the freezer and the surrounding area(s) where she was found and show them to the public. How could it hurt? People would be less suspicious and maybe they could understand how this terrible situation occurred. It may help some people calm down and accept what happened instead of them have lingering doubts. JMO

There's pictures posted earlier in this thread that shows the loading docks. They're great pictures but not super clear so I couldn't tell if some of the trucks could go down or all the docks were on the 1st level or floor. Thanks for the info. I could very well be wrong and it wouldn't be the first time.

Yeah, I really don't know and it's hard to tell from the google maps photos, IMO.

The area circled in RED is the EXISTING SPACE that the Caddyshack will eventually be in but is not currently being used.

If the above circled in red is the loading docks, where are the dumpsters? I can only see cars there and, normally, cars are not allowed to block a loading dock.

I don't know that I would consider it a total accident if she was drugged though.
A total accident to me is that she drank or took drugs on her own and wandered into the freezer.
If she was drugged first (especially for nefarious purposes) that sounds more like a crime.
I definitely don't think it's a big cover up of a murder either though.

Any video LE obtains from, and answers they get from questioning, other party goers, in addition to tox results, should give us some idea if she was purposely drugged or not. I'd not weigh that out, but I'm not convinced that she was deliberately drugged, either. I completely agree that there's not been any type of cover up.

It certainly doesn't imply two separate kitchens. Body was discovered in a freezer, which was in the kitchen.. She is observed entering the kitchen, but there is no video of her entering the actual freezer.

I agree. Two separate locations, on the same floor, and within the same kitchen.

I downloaded Google Earth and tried to focus on the dock area as best I could. It looks like there might be some dumpsters in the shadows but it's hard to tell. Someone with more experience could probably focus in better than me. I'm new at it but it's a pretty cool way to check out things. And yes you're right. Cars shouldn't be parked on the loading dock.

Yes, agreed. many say the basement, several say the ground floor/lobby. So, who do we believe is accurate?

I think we go where the conference rooms are/

The cop may have used that terminology to give a general discretion .

We know the video the cops made up (why they would not make up where it really was is another of many questions) is not where she was at all according to the lawyers and the sister has given us the most detailed info.

Just a guess tho. We know the elevators would go down to that level/

The link is from the 12th! So much stuff was put out to muddle everything up in the beginning -- I think later stories pulled out a lot of the clutter as time went by.

The sister described several things that were the opposite of the murkey stuff they gave (freezer temp/ walk to it/who found her etcetc) /

In the videos of the party, a girl friend of hers hands her a small plastic cup, you see her take a drink, and then say UGHHH, what was that, and she drops the cup on the floor, but she laughs while she does it. Her friend picks the cup up.

Some are saying that is proof it was a drugged drink.

But if it was just a really strong shot of hard liquor, she might have had the same reaction. She was young and probably didn't have that much of a taste for strong alcohol.

If someone had drugged her,for nefarious purposes, I would think they would have been keeping her close, so they could take advantage of her. But it doesn't seem like that was what happened. She and her friends just left the party, and she wandered around by herself.

But it is possible someone went looking for her and found her and put her in a freezer. But I don't see how it could have happened with them being seen on video looking for her.

That's why I keep coming to her walking into the freezer by herself.

Also, if she did drink something in that cup, like a drug cocktail, it will show up in the to screen. I wonder if it is back yet?

The thing is, even if she did say UGGHH and throw the cup down, it doesn't mean she didn't agree voluntarily to take a dose of whatever it was.

There were older partiers all around her and I think she wanted to fit in and be cool. :rose:

In all of the videos that we see KJ, she is alert and having fun. Her mother said she didn't tolerate alcohol well. The only video that she is not alert is the video where only three of the girls are seen, seemingly sober, and there's a fourth in the background, sounding as if she is drunk. I'm beginning to think that the Irene video was done toward the end of the party in another room. Her Mom said that she was taken up to the 11th floor to talk to someone who had seen KJ with three girls and two guys that night.

@3:15 Irene looks behind her and there is a female, sitting on the bed, with here back to wall.
@3:34 A female crosses over the bed, behind Irene.
@3:38 Irene, if I understand correctly, says, You dancin' mf-er? Check it out.
@3:44 A female can be seen to our left of Irene, and over Irene's shoulder. At this point, Female A (never seen on video in this room) says, Girl, I'm not drunk. After which, Female B says, You don't have to be drinkin' to enjoy yourself. Female A responds, I am enjoying myself.

@3:54 I hear Male A say,<unintelligible> What's up, you ridin' with me our what? Male 2 says: You trippin' (then music starts).

@4:38 you can see all three of the females who are said to have been to have been there with KJ. They all look to be pretty much lucid and at themselves. The only one that we do not see it KJ. Is she the one whose voice is slurred in the background?

Is this a second room that has a door that opens between it and another room? Could they have taken KJ in there to lie down and sober up at some point, left her there, and she wanders out of the second room without anyone knowing until they check in on her later? We've gotten the rooms that have the door between them to keep our own personal stuff in and to have a place to crash if we wanted. Just a thought because the Irene video is the only one that has a friend (very possibly KJ) who sounds drunk, so I think it may have been taken later in the evening, instead of when they first arrived.
