Chico,
A much deserved thank you for keeping the updates about the Vaughn case current for us.

YW! It's going at a crawl, huh?

chico, I second that "Thank you"! :blowkiss: This is one of those cases that just won't slip into the back of my mind. Sadly, there are so many of those now, that I get frequent migraines.

It's awfully slow. I'm surprised he hasn't been convicted and imprisoned by now.

I agree. it has been nine months. How long does it take to finish a report? I don't think it should take nearly this long. Someone is dragging their feet on this case.

This is the same county that Kathleen Savio was declared dead by drowning as well as the Riley Fox fiasco ...

Expect the unexpected.

Any news on the hearing? I have checked the Trib, Sun times and Daily Herald website, and NOTHING....
this case is so weird, cannot believe it is so slow!!!!

Chico's link says today was a "status" hearing... a "case" hearing is scheduled for 5/5

Chico, anymore updates? Thank you.

Nothing new yet....latest on the court docket was for today at 9:30 but so far no media updates. Last news update appeared a day later than the actual court date so if not today maybe tomorrow.

I check this thread everyday.I hope updates come soon.

I live just outside of Chicago, and I am truly amazed just how much this case has dropped out of sight!

I guess in a way its a good thing....less chance for the defense to cry out "too much publicity, can't get a fair trial anywhere."

Keep us posted!

As Christopher Vaughn's quadruple homicide case continues, he briefly appeared in court Monday morning.

Because there is nothing pending, there was very little discussion of the case. Will County Judge Dan Rozek simply scheduled a case management
conference for 9:30 a.m. June 6.

Seeking the death penalty...not sure if that's new news or not.

This is why cases move slowly through the judicial system. A month for a case management conference???

Then there will be delay after delay while the attorney's hassle each other over pre-trail motions, etc. etc. etc.

In the meantime, us taxpayers are paying for their three meals a day, their electricity while they watch tv, etc. etc. etc.

I just get so darn mad sometimes!!!!!!
