Someone help me, please? Another 2-3 year old child, left by his mother with "friends" who was then picked up by "friends of the friends/unknown but distinctive people". In fact, there are a few I'm thinking of. Malik is one.

I am soooo ready for LE to say something about all of this.

It can really only been one of 3 things.

1 - Lanisha picked him up from the friends, something happened and she tried to act like she never picked him up.

2 - Something happened to Kyrian while he was at the friends house.

3 - A man & woman really did come pick him up. If this is true, it has to be someone known to Kyrian and Lanisha. They would have to know where to go and at the very least his name.

I can't think of anymore theories. Can anyone else?

I was about to post the same thing as above. I don't really see it being anything else. I just can't decide which one seems most likely to me. My gut is kind of telling me #3. And that the people or person who picked him up is maybe some (estranged?) relative or something.

Do we know where Kyrian's dad is?

Just for the sake of brainstorming, anyone have any suggestions as to where they'd look if Kyrian wandered (although it doesn't seem framed that way) or if you were just desperately going to search for him without any leads? I guess I'm wondering about parks, water, forest, empty lots in Rockford? I really do pray this child is safe and OK somewhere, but I'm trying to think where I'd look if I was LE. Do we know what part of town he was last seen in so we could do some Google maps guessing?

This is my first post so bear with me. I actually lived in Rockford while attending med school for a few years. I would think that if RPD can pin the mom to a story about her dates and times for when she supposedly dropped the little guy off in Rockford it should be easy to check. There are a ridiculous number of tolls between Rockford/Chicago that are all video monitored and take pics of license plates in case the toll is not paid. (I learned that the hard way when I forgot to go online and pay but I digress). Unfortunately I, like many of you, do not have a good feeling about this case. There are many areas that a small child's body could be hidden including the Rock River and Rock Cut State Park. There are also a ton of rural areas just outside of the city limits. I really hope I'm wrong about this one, but I've lurked for a while and with all the missing toddlers and babies lately there seems to be a terrible pattern.

I really want to know who called the police to report him missing.

Excellent question. Would love to hear her answer as to why that is the area she is focusing her search on.

I really think he came to harm while with the male caregiver, no couple collected him. The male told his GF that Kyrian was collected to hide the fact he hurt him. I think the GF was then confused by the moms text, confronted her bf and then called LE. That is why there is no decription by LE of the other couple, and why there is no abduction. I bet they are working very quietly behind the scenes to build the case against the male caregiver.

I'm going with #2.

If #3 were possible, wouldn't LE state there was an abduction? A man and woman pick the child up without mother's permission?

As for #1, the caregiver has said a couple picked up the child, not the mother.

So the mother and the caregiver state the mother did not pick up little Kyrian.

Prayers for little Kyrian.

As much as I hate to agree, I am leaning towards your theory.

Unfortunately that means Ky really could be baby doe in the lagoon, especially because of the weights in the bags.

Off the top of my head I can't think of a case where a female used weights to keep a body under water. It always seems to be men that use weights.

It's sad that this child is missing, it's also sad that a baby can be found in a lagoon and no-one has come forward to say they recognise that child. If I had a nephew or a friend with a son with hair like the baby in the picture and I hadn't seen them for a while I would be checking to make sure they were safe. Why do people not care about these people.

I think Kyrian is dead sadly. There is no real reason why he would just disappear. I just hope they find him

I believe Kyrian is probably no longer with us also. I just wonder why the friend of his mother has not been interviewed to give her side of the story.
She would be able to corroborate the mother's story, or on the other hand, she could have a totally different story to tell.

I want it to be #3, and it's an estranged relative who has him and he's safe and will be found, but my gut says it's #2 and the caregiver made up the story. I don't like how it's easier for me to believe he harmed Kyrian and lied than believe he let him leave with someone else but there it is.

I feel like if this part of the story was true, LE would have put this out there. I believe that Kyrian's last known whereabouts lie with the person who is already in custody.
