steelman, now that we have the 128 Honing Road address on the tip site can you update the maps? Both the street view and aerial if you can.

tia!
If I may insert an opinion here, 128 Honing is the address of the Prairie Material - Yard 23 also being referred to as the cement plant. It's already clearly visible on steelman's map. And, he has already provided a street view of it from Rollins Road.

Replying to "Does anyone think they've got a good idea of who the suspects are from this video and they are watching them until Homeland Security can get a clean image sufficient to make arrests?"

No - but I think it will lead to a tip that will! Either a car driving away or maybe the three guys pictured together will trigger something somebody saw or knows in the area (especially if they arrived on foot and are local)

I think if they are security camera and they are piecing together to make a storyline - they likely don't show much detail, but could be enough to trigger some better tips. Hopefully they will release more soon if they need better leads!

There's lots of other missing persons cases going on right now, take a break for awhile and look into some of them.

We aren't going to hear much more on this case until they get those videos enhanced, analyzed and public. The presser was a disappointment today. Maybe over the weekend they will release stills shots from the cameras.

LE has said he was murdered. They haven't hesitated or wavered in this statement. Their statement is a fact. It is not different than when they have said any other person was murdered...or shall we began to question every death they declare?

What I meant by grieving properly is that when your husband is murdered in the line of duty and the guilty parties are not captured and/or people are accusing the man you love of being a liar, and he hasn't even been buried yet.....it is hard to start the grieving process. I haves seen it happen before. It sucks and it is hard.

I respect your opinion. We all know grief. And we all grieve alone. No rules. The process often lasts forever because of the loss of a loved one. If The circumstances of the loss somehow make it easier, then that is a good thing. But no one can know the depth of another's pain. It is not measureable. JMO

On the 5:30 p.m. abc news,
news was LE is going door-to-door taking DNA samples of up to fifty people. Neighbors are asking, "What's going on?".

Because I have no idea, if LE knocked on my door and told me that is what they wanted to do, do I have to, or can I say, no. Or by saying no, does that automatically make you appear guilty in people's eyes?

This isn't my opinion, although I would agree. It has been told to me by a couple people who experienced it.

Dozens of people questioned so far - DNA samples taken

Hmmm...the good news possibility is that they have foreign DNA from the weapon or crime scene? (Foreign, as in not the officer's DNA....not to be confused with any other notion of "foreign".) JMO

Why in the world would one considered saying no in order to try and solve a case of this magnitude?
I don't understand?
I personally could care less how I appear in other peoples eyes.
I think that I have completely missed the point of your post.

Because it either means a fishing expedition, or, in the alternative, somehow you have been deemed to be a possible perp. EEK JMO

I would probably say no and not worry about what anyone thought.

I agree with you -- there are real problems with this sort of method. And where does it end? Should they be able to fingerprint everyone in town? Monitor everyone's phone and computer usage? I find it intrusive and insulting.

eta -- and while I have total sympathy for CG and his family, I find it a bit unnerving that they go to these lengths for the murder of a LEO...but what about all of the other people who are murdered? It's got to be very expensive to take so many samples and analyze them, and it is so very unusual. It really does smack of favoritism, as if the murder of one person is deserving of so much more in terms of money and resources than that of someone (anyone) else.

If they have a DNA profile now it won't be long before there's an arrest.

I asked a question because I don't know the answer. If the authorities come to your door and tell you that they want to take your DNA, do you have the right to say no? I never said I would say no, or anything like that. And what I meant by a person saying no, I would imagine that people would look at you suspiciously because you said no to the request.

How could the DNA of an innocent person help solve a case of this magnitude?

  • #456
You can say no as long as they haven't got a warrant.

  • #457
So, apparently a 'significant' piece of evidence was recovered from the crime scene today.

Elimination....but there is a rather large population to eliminate. JMO

BUT, since there were three males the DNA of females wouldn't be needed.

They did the same thing to find Jenise Wright's murderer. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/cri...-6-year-old-neighbor-police-article-1.1899915
