The coroner, who couldn't disclose the reason why Adolphus had been admitted due to the ongoing investigation, said that around 2 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, Adolphus left her room — and she wasn't discovered for nearly seven hours, when she was found on the hospital's rooftop at 8:45 a.m. wearing only her hospital gown

It's not clear how she got on the roof of Vista Medical Center. Investigators said the door to the roof locked from the outside.

Hospital staff attempted to resuscitate her for 14 hours, until she was pronounced dead around 11 p.m., according to Banek.

Fourteen hours!? That’s insane.

as the old adage goes, ''youre not dead until youre warm and dead''...they probably waited until her body temp was back to normal before removing her from supportive care, and she still didn't respond. very tragic situation.
all the hospitals ive been in have a good amount of cameras, both inside and outside, hopefully they can capture how she accessed the roof, and make changes to make future patients safer...
