Looking at her photo before reading the description, I thought, "she looks fit." She is described as "very fit."

But anyone can fall, have an emergency, etc.

Would like to know if she normally took a backpack on her walks like she did on Sept 1.

Link to a Google maps search of 1500 Ashland:

Presumably, there would be a large number of cameras in the area. Given that drones are being used to search the lakefront per the prior linked post, it seems fair to assume that LE has reason to believe she was headed toward the lake, possibly due to camera evidence.

Foul play seems unlikely in such a densely populated and surveilled environment. I’m anticipating a voluntary or accidental situation, unfortunately. All moo.

So many comments on the posts mention how brilliant she was. I'm holding out hope for an ending like the man from Swansea who was missing for over a week I think, but eventually found safe.

I hope they are using more than drones.

Evanston is a pretty safe area - one of my best friends is a nurse that lives there. It IS close to the lakefront, which depending on winds and waves can have some danger if one gets too close to the water but the weather/wind has been mild lately. There has been no mention made that she was suffering from any sort of medical of cognitive issues and she's likely very familiar with the area.

As for the backpack - there's public transportation easily asessible (bus/trains) so maybe she had planned a day's excursion someplace outside of the immediate area.

Details about where/how she was found

"The woman said she lives in the neighborhood, and came outside searching for Kraus — only to find Kraus behind some large trees and bushes in a front-yard garden just one door down Kraus' home."

Some of the comments on the Evanston police's posts are making my blood boil.
