AGREED....she was clearly trying to cover something up, no cell phone, no clothes, no I-Pass transponder.....phone and I-Pass create a trail (if she even thought of that, but it seems she put a LOT of thought into this) but the clothes lead me to believe that there must have been some evidence on them. Very strange.

Wonder what she was wearing when they found her? Where did she get the change of clothes from?

IIRC she was found without clothing after having just gotten out of the bath. Earlier MSM indicated she had made it a step or two out of the bath as if she were trying to make it to the bathroom sink.

Maybe she ditched her clothes because they had Timmy's blood on them?

I don't see the blood evidence as a major oversight. I've lived in the Chicago area all my life, and ALL of NE IL LE keeps everything close to the vest 99.5% of the time. I see this not as being new info to LE, just newly released to the public.

jmo

No, I meant a major oversight on the part of the mom. She took several steps to cover up what she did (whether it was murder or taking him to someone else), it seems inconsistent for her to leave a "concerning" amount of blood. Surely it would not have been hard to commit a murder that didn't involve leaving blood in the car.

Regardless, I suspect LE must have a good idea about the blood. Presumably the father would know if the "concerning" amount of blood in his wife's car was there before the trip or not.

gotcha....

The MSM article indicates Dad was unavailable for comment when reporters tried to reach him by phone. :( :banghead: He is the only one left of Timmy's two parents, so his not cooperating- when thousands upon thousands of families of missing persons would jump through hoops for media attention- leads me to believe he is not putting much effort to work with LE, and volunteer NFP groups for the missing.

That tells me the grandma's who have spoken with the media are kind of bumbling around putting Timmy's parents first... when that time is long since past, and no one, no aunties, uncles, or grandparents\pa's have stepped up to become the spokesperson for Timmy - and something is still funky 3 months later with dancing around Amy's mental health issues.

If I may respectfully say so, someone step up for Timmy's mommy who can no longer speak, and Timmy's daddy who too seems too distraught to speak. Aunties, Uncles, college friends, someone.... Aurura LE can not do this alone..... nor can we volunteers do this without your assistance.

Where is Timmy?

Missing boy's blood found in back of SUV

http://couriernews.suntimes.com/news/7017122-418/missing-boys-blood-in-back-seat-of-suv.html

This is a bizarre case. There was quite of bit of items missing from the scene including the clothing Amy was captured on video wearing, her cell phone, some of Timmothy's things..

This article also states she made at least two trips to this area prior to the suicide which no one else knew about. Where did she go and why was it such a secret?

The suicide note was only 5 sentences long without explanation as far as why she felt the need to give her son to strangers and take her own life. Could she have been made to write it?

Stabbing yourself to commit suicide also seems strange and rare, especially for a woman...

Things just dont ad up in this case...

Waupaca Police Don't Believe Missing Boy was Seen in Supermarket

snippets:

Asked to follow up on the tip, the Waupaca Police Department obtained surveillance video from a Pick N Save store.

Officers say after reviewing the video Monday, they don't believe any children in the store are Timmothy Pitzen.

While the Waupaca Police Department doesn't believe the boy seen in the Pick N Save was Timmothy, they'll still send the video to the lead agency.

Three search warrants made public this week only deepen the mystery surrounding the case. In the warrants, Aurora police were seeking Amy’s e-mail records between Jan. 1 and May 14 and her phone records from 60 days before she went missing.

According to the warrant, FBI profilers told police that Amy likely planned her actions for months before she pulled Timmothy out of school. Police previously said that months before his disappearance, Timmothy’s mother took two unexplained trips to the area where her son would later go missing.

Court records show that Yahoo! turned over 34 e-mails and the log-in history for Amy’s e-mail account. According to an affidavit filed in the warrant, Pitzen had an account which her husband had access to, as well as one that she kept secret from him. The account was created in 2007 under “Amy Fry,” according to court records.

Court documents also show that police received records for Amy’s cell phone, which had Internet capabilities and had been used extensively in the days before she took Timmothy out of school. The phone has not been found, police said.

The warrant does not reveal what was in those e-mails or phone records, but police have previously said that they retrieved no useful information from either.

From the previously linked article:

Pitzen had an account which her husband had access to, as well as one that she kept secret from him. The account was created in 2007 under “Amy Fry,” according to court records.

A secret email account omitting her married surname. We know Amy's current marriage to Timmy's dad was her 3rd marriage and the first marriage to produce a child. Why would a happily married woman create an email account without her husbands name? This leads me to wonder if she wanted out of the marriage but was unable to consider single parenting and coparenting. Maybe she was concerned Timmy's dad would be awarded primary custody and she didn't want that either, so she planned a murder suicide where she could hide Timmy well enough he wouldn't be found.

Gosh, now I am wondering about the details of the searches again. Did LE only search where her cell phone pinged the day she and Timmy were last seen? Or have they also gone back and combed through the area's of the two unaccounted for trips in February and March?

Also wonder if LE was able to get anything from Amy's work computer and work phone records.

All excellent questions, Cubby!

In all of the articles I've read in following this, only 2 search locations have been mentioned.

1) Castle Rock State Park (In between Sterlng and Winnebego)
2) The are NW of Sterling where the last pings were

I have no idea what the 2 prior trips mean. This is all so confusing. The level of pre-meditation used to tell me he was safe with someone, but now I don't know.

  • #412
Also I wish there was more information about that second email account. The only reason you set up a second account that's hidden is for hidden communication which usually implies other people you don't want to be known.

Or could it be like my second account, where I send all my spam? I've had it since before my wife and I were married, so if I were a woman it would be my maiden name ....

If it is relevant to the case it does imply other people we involved.

MSM indicated LE learnt nothing from the second 'secret' email account.

It's really hard to say with someone suffering mental illness. IIRC there has been little stated in the media with what type of mental illness. If she was bipolar or schizophrenic or perhaps had OCD who knows what she might have planned.

My biggest hurdle with believing Timmy is safe is someone not coming forward after learning of her suicide - which was in the media once she was found and Timmy was not.

It's odd that MSM has reported sightings of Timmy, but there has been no indication LE received any calls of sightings of Amy and Timmy from the time they left the Dells until she was spotted on survellience alone at the various stores in the Rockford area.

A gorgeous day, while it was cooling off that Friday after a 3 day above average weather spurt people would have been out and about, and I don't understand no one seeing them out that Friday. At least that type of tip could help LE with possible search area's.

ETA: I am also confused on the media articles.. some saying a family member spoke with Timmy after they left the Dells others saying they heard Timmy in the background. Did someone actually speak with him or not?

Regarding the two unexplained trips. It would be nice if LE would release they have ruled out anything work or medical related. Has LE subpoenad her medical records to see if they can glean anything that route?

Feb 18th was a Friday. March 20th a Sunday. It looks like she spent the entire day in Dixon on Sunday the 20th. Did she bring Timmy on either of these trips? Did Timmy ever talk about visiting any places with Mommy that Daddy hadn't visited in these area's? Was LE able to obtain cell phone pings for the two above dates?

Have the above area's been papered with missing persons posters?

So many questions... so little info available.

Where are you Timmy?

Info again on the two unaccounted for trips to the Dixon, IL area:

Fry-Pitzen traveled through the Orchard Road Toll Plaza in Aurora on Feb. 18 at 3:58 p.m., the DeKalb Toll Plaza at 4:21 p.m. and the Dixon Toll Plaza at 4:45 p.m. She then apparently returned the same day via Dixon at 8:58 p.m., DeKalb at 9:21 p.m. Orchard Road at 9:44 p.m. The second trip was on March 20 when her transponder passed through Orchard Road at 9:11 a.m., DeKalb at 9:34 a.m. and Dixon at 9:59 a.m. Her return trip on the same day showed her in Dixon at 3:42 p.m., DeKalb at 4:07 p.m., and Orchard Road at 4:30 p.m.

What is interesting is there is 4 hours in between the Dixon outgoing and returning trips both times prior. If she was scouting a location you'd think the second and final trips wouldn't take as long ... presumably by the 3rd she would know where she was going and it would be much faster.

What makes more sense is if where she is going is significantly further away from Dixon - you can make it to the IA state line in less than an hour from Dixon which could still give her an hour to get somewhere and then get back. What's out there that she kept going to? If we assume each time she went to Sterling from Dixon, that leaves her with an hour and a half from Sterling. The last ping was NW of Sterling on 40.

It's possible she met someone "half way" or part of the way who came from Iowa and met her in Dixon. She used to live in IA, so it's possible. However, if this was a friend she met who was not involved in Timmy's disappearance, now that this information has been released in the media why wouldn't someone come forward regarding the unaccounted for trips.

If she was scouting an area she could have spent time there finding the right spot and sticking around for awhile to see if there was any traffic in the area.

I wonder if any locals in the Sterling or Dixon area can let us know if there are MP posters in the area.

I know it's entirely anecdotal but my brother lives in Naperville which is just 10-15 min from Aurora. He still hasn't heard of Timothy in local news or seen fliers. Granted he is a college kid without cable, but who's to say that someone with Timothy 3-5 hours away isn't any different? I know it's a bit outlandish .. but still.

And as always I'm taken back to the Amish, of which there are many in Iowa and Western Illinois. They are known for adopting non Amish children into their communities and would have no access to media and very limited access to areas where there might be fliers (gas stations ...) There is even a cha-cha question posted from April, 2 weeks before they disappeared asking about Amish adopting non Amish kids. Cha-cha wouldn't tell me any info about the poster as I wasn't law enforcement.

I know these could be a stretch but the whole case is sort of out there.

Might be worth reporting that question to LE, if you haven't already.

While reading a thread on an entirely different case, I ran across some posts discussing suicide. A former WS member mentions 3 suicides in his or her family, one of which the person who took their life kept a diary and spent two years staging the perfect exit. (first few posts in the following UID thread)

VA VA - Annandale - White Female 245UFVA, 60, Dec 1996 - "NO CODE, DNR, No Penicillin" - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

It got me thinking more about Timmy's case and these two unaccounted for trips. We know Amy ditched her cell phone and I-pass the day Timmy was last seen and she took her life. Imo, it is quite possible she made subsequent trips to this same area without her cell phone and without her I-pass transponder after deciding this area was the perfect place to hide Timmy. Because of that, imo, this area should be of great interest to LE with their search for Timmy. I don't think they can rule out subsequent trips to this area without her cell and I-pass transponder. I wonder if they can triangulate cell pings for the two known visits. I'd be searching there...

Timmy where are you? Help lead us to finding you.
