That's what I thought when I saw the pictures. The green pirate shirt will live on in bookstores near you.

JB has probably received a hundred text messages from her telling him to make it stop.

IMO

Ha ha. I hope so. "But I hate that green shirt! How dare he put those ugly pics on his book! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, JB!!!!! Sue him or something! He can't get away with making me look bad!" She is probably furious. I love it!

The Nook? :waitasec:

I'm still at considering IPAD2 or The BB PAD...what is a Nook?

Nook is B&N's answer to Kindle. The big diff is you can download library books on a Nook. That did it for me! :)

I believe you are able to do that on Kindle now too... and you can share with family members

It's personal preference I like the battery life on Kindle since it's not backlit - which also makes for a more book like appearance and easy to read in the light; but I like reading on my iphone in the dark, so.....

Once I saw on Antiques Roadshow that books lose most of their value when the covers are missing. Just letting you guys know. :kimsterwink:

quite so - but in order to maintain the book jacket in pristine condition you should remove it while you read the book (and not break the spine etcr).

Oh additionally you should never let your sister organize an estate sale where she sells a first edition autographed copy of Up Front by Bill Mauldin

so I would recommend, everbody buy a hardcover first edition for your shelf. And down load your reading copy to your e-reader

Ooh I "liked" his page. Wonder when he'll get a twitter!

Not sure when he will do twitter, but I like the occasional posts he and his wife put on FB. One from the other day, he was thanking everyone for the positive comments and said he hoped everyone survived Irma ( he meant Irene) and he also said " I look forward to hurricane Jose-- whole lot of wind not much substance.......Why does that remind me of something (: "
:giggle:
I love him and can't wait to read his book.

What a shame. I really don't like to see people in positions like his stoop to that level. I think it cheapens him, and I thought he'd be more dignified than that.

I think I've probably just gotten the wrong impression of him, though, because I don't know anything about him other than what I saw in the courtroom and in a couple of interviews after the trial ended. I don't have a crush on him or anything.

I thought he was more professional than that.

The Nook is from B&N, but read reviews on the Kindle and that's what I bought. Don't know that I need the IPAD. Just one more thing to learn .. :loser:

Here's why I turned off Issues with JVM last evening:

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1108/29/ijvm.01.html

But first, a major bombshell from a trial insider. Prosecutor Jeff Ashton has written a book, a tell-all. Get a load of this title: "Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony." Now, this is just a mock- up by our terrific graphics team. Obviously, Jeff Ashton will be presenting the case against Casey, but what about his own mishaps, such as this unforgettable moment? You know what I`m talking about.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

Thanx Concentric - I can't watch JVM anymore . Cannot stand how she 'jumped the fence' after the verdict . So she's lost me as a viewer . I actually didn''t like her anyway after she chatted with Lohan . Father not the daughter . He has been arrested so many times for beating women that I have no use for the 'man.

I felt the same way, but I have given it a lot of thought. Someone posted they'd like to see Jeff on Dancing with the Stars, and I thought "nooooo, he is too professional" but really... he is human. He is retired. Maybe we have put him on a pedestal. He deserves to have fun. As far as the hurricane Jose joke, it was just a joke, not slander. I think he has maintained his dignified status. Actually, the next hurricane IS named José!

LOL - He's retired and can say what he wants now - especially after surviving three years of Baez's smirking and insults without responding, while he was a SA. :floorlaugh:

JA was having lunch with FG today and said he would say "hi" from all of us on his FB page. JA is just the best.

I used to like JVM, but in the last 6 months, I have developed an aversion to her voice and opinions.

I suppose that depends on what "value" you're intending on reaping from Jeff Ashton's book.

Resale is not on my agenda.

Supporting Jeff Ashton's work & dedication to Caylee through the purchase of his book, is.

The Nook? :waitasec:

Each its pros and cons.

Kindle has easy to read screen. Does NOT do library books now, but maybe int he future. Kindle does have a PC app so you COULD read digital books that way.

Nook is COOl, in color and like a mini-Ipad. B&N lets you read for free in their stores, for an hour a day. Could save $$ by reading in store, if you can stand it!

I saw yesterday at Target, Google has a reading tablet - Iriver, for the price of a Kindle. Battery is supposed to last 6 weeks, two more than a Kindle.

Decisions, decisions.

I know that I didn't have him on a pedestal, and I do hope he enjoys retirement and has a lot of time to do the things he likes to do. I just think that it's possible to do that and not compromise the dignity you've conducted yourself with in the past.

And I was just waiting for someone to make comments about Jose (the storm), but I didn't think it would be Ashton, of all people! LOL... when I first heard that was the next named storm, I knew the jokes would be coming. Comedians could have a field day with that one!

Of course he can. I'm just saying that I'm surprised at that comment and also that he went in the direction he did with his book. Disappointed, too.

holy crapola!

per the amazon page - Jeff's book is ranked #49 on Amazon's top-seller list. It's been on the best seller list for 2 days. And it's only in pre-order stage.

# Amazon Bestsellers Rank: #49 in Books (See Top 100 in Books)

* #1 in Books > Nonfiction > True Accounts > Murder & Mayhem

$$$ ca-ca-caCHING! $$$

Have a nice retirement, Jeff. You've earned it. :thumb:
