What boxes? How did they know? On the surface, a man invading a "bookstore" and killing woman in no way matches the M.O. of a man killing girls in a wooded park.

I am surprised that St. Louis contacted Delphi and not the other way around.

Is it common for police forces to share not-revealed-to-the-public with "neighboring" police forces? In this case, it's not even that "neighboring."

There have to be pretty TELLING similarities to have one police force dealing with a murder of adults contact another police force dealing with the murder of children.

I think it is the "told to strip" and being shot for non-compliance. Perhaps something else he said....some sort of "key phrase" if you will.

There's a lot we do not know/hasn't been released about Abby and Libby's final moments. This may be a perfect example of why they don't release everything.

He does remind me a lot of Rader and, in some ways, Ridgway, with the ability to blend in- not a raging, mass killer type, but one who is able to have a long term marriage. All fooled their spouses, and had a secondary fantasy life and activity. Rader and Ridgway had a clear motive and a set up based on trickery. Of the three, Bruce has the worst employment history, though, and just went in guns blazing, IMO.

On the surface, all three look like regular blue collar citizens. I also have found it interesting that neither Ridgway nor Rader were especially bright, but got away with a lot of murders and SAs for a long time until they were caught, and also captured a lot of attention because of the communications sent to the media - lots of misspellings, but again, that was before the advent of auto correct and the messages were handwritten. Doesn’t look like Bruce did any of that, for now, handwritten or otherwise.

Both Rader and Ridgway were caught AFTER it was already known a SK was in the works. There has been nothing like that known in A&L’s case, but it’s a new decade, technology has changed, and ways to get attention for the attention-seeking has changed with social media.

To be fair, I haven’t heard of police actively searching for a current serial killer in a long time, but someone please respond if you know of something like that.

Just feeling as the week is going forward, and no news on a link between Delphi and the Catholic Supply crime, there is no definitive link, but still waiting to hear for sure.

Anyone able to find any videos of him on Facebook where he speaks... ?

I don’t know but I feel like he won’t be much of a talker.
Snipped.

I don't think he'll be much of a talker either. Resisting arrest and having to get slugged into compliance with LE leads me to believe he will stubbornly withhold information, and when he does talk, he will either lie or be sarcastic. I don't care....because I think they have plenty of evidence on this guy for the Catholic store crimes whether he talks or not.

It could go the other direction - where he confesses his sins and wants to do the right thing as a godly man.....but I think the chances of that are about the same as finding an ice cube in the fires of hell.

Sure would like to see the interrogation.

I looked and looked, and looked some more. Nothing. It may be out there on the web somewhere, but I haven’t found anything.

I totally agree. He is clammed up, holding out, and not willing to say anything. He is a different kind of killer, and while I can’t imagine he hasn’t done something similar in the past, he is so scary, maybe the victim(s) followed his requests.

It is clear he doesn’t like to be told no, so he is more of an aggressive, angry and bold offender, and didn’t plan a ruse, but I do think he did plan out a sneak attack.

That he didn’t plan out the situation better may have been because it was a crime of opportunity, and he may have been drinking. I also think Abby and Libby were victims of a crime of opportunity.

The online clues of his creepiness, roving about, are there, and I think that is important. JMO.

I know many of these thoughts should be shared on the thread solely for the Catholic Supply rapes and murder. FWIW, he is placed as a possibility based on the sound words of the prosecutor in the first press conference.

TOC question - Am I correct in understanding that we can not post comments found on a friend's or relatives social media post, even if they are made by Bruce?

If his DNA matched (and its back by now) and he is a serial killer, there are enough “dads, moms and grandpas” on LE who will make him sing like a canary... so many men and women are immersed and invested in all of these cases. I’m so confident this ONE person will bring so much relief to so many very soon.

That’s the thing I wonder about. What if there is no DNA for Abby and Libby? That is murky territory.

The detectives would have to snap up their bootstraps and look for more circumstantial evidence to connect him (or anyone) who is the killer, and how they could’ve been in Delphi that February 2017 day and lurking about.

TB is the best lead so far. It is so hard to wait to hear what evidence there is. Remember, the investigators have thoroughly looked through his trailer, and his wife is very upset.

December 5 is TB’s court date, but it will be focused on the STL event. Between now and then, everything may stay silent, like now, or more info will come from those who know him.

I believe St. Louis PD contacted Delphi LE regarding some similarities prior to any public speculation. Therefore, I don't think it's a complete stretch for the members of WS to ponder the possibility. I don't suppose hinky meters, hunches and screaming guts are your cup of tea.o_O

Starting around 11’20” in this video, St. Louis County Police Chief Belmar explains as the CSS murder wasn’t solved right away (the prosecutor says the tip that ultimately lead LE to TB did not come in unti Tuesday morning), his investigators started to look for cases that bore similarities. Chief Belmar also states this is done routinely when they have an unsolved case on their hands.

He says while there were a couple of other cases they got “the bureau’s” (I’m assuming the FBI) assistance with, Abby and Libby’s case was at the top of the list, thus prompting them to reach out to the Indiana State Police and their local “bureau office” (he means the FBI’s Indianapolis Division, I assume).

Man charged in Catholic Supply homicide, sexual assaults

I would love to know what similarities the investigators observed between the two cases, other than the clothing. I don’t believe facial or physical features would have been taken into consideration since they didn’t even have a suspect at that point. What else other than that there were multiple victims, fatalities, and that both incidents took place during daytime on Monday?

ETA: I would also love to find out which other cases the investigators looked into.

At first, I really thought it was the blue jacket and newsboy hat. Don’t know now, but there may be something more and the same thought I have.

Because he fits the FBI profile. its that simple.

speculation: similarities in the orders to undress and perform the deviant acts as reported in STL. - I hope not, but wonder if his specific demands were identical to BG.

(IIRC the recording captured more than “down the hill”)
