Thanks mtnlites. Does it end by being blocked or overgrown etc or was there more support structure that carried the rail that is now not there etc?
What physically stops you continuing where the rails used to run after the bridge?

Both ends of the bridge have been built up with earth and gravel to make them more easily accessible for getting off and on. With funding low, though, this land ramp isn't maintained well and it washes away easily. On one end of the bridge, there's a big railroad tie that acts as kind of a "step", though if you step down on the right side, it's pretty even with the ground. On the other end you have more of the "ramp". The trail doesn't technically continue, though in the colder months you can still see a little footpath. Some of it is gravel and then it turns into dirt. You can walk about 75 feet more but then you run into some big, wooden sawhorse-like things stretching across the path. There's nothing technically stopping you from walking around them, but it's private property from then on.
