My “profile” is in conflict with most of this. I should preface with MOO and acknowledge that I am biased due to the similarities to Evansdale (the case that brought me here).
The similarities are too much for me. The hunting grounds are the same.
- Generally safe public recreational sites. People feel comfortable here, more specifically people feel comfortable leaving children their relatively unsupervised.
- In this generally safe area, there is a secluded location suitable for executing a stealth attack with high probability of success. A&L we’re essentially trapped, L&L we’re in a tunnel of sorts (heavy vegetation).
- This generally safe recreational area is located next to a relatively major highway.
I firmly believe the cases are related. Either the same killer, or a copycat of sorts. If I were a psychotic waste of oxygen and wanted to do something like this, I’d probably study similar unsolved crimes for tips on getting away with it.
I’m sure many have, but I’d be interested in researching attempted and successful abductions/murders from similar sites across the midwest. My focus would be one similarities in the hunting ground.
What if there were more cases?
Thinking about TB who killed random, unrelated women, but of a similar type, and how hard it was to tie all these disappearances to one person...but the victims had only one connection, looking similar to his first GF and living in WA...
What if there are more cases, between Delphi and Evansdale, and some of them are single, and they cluster around MW, or wherever this guy moves?
In the beginning, there was one more case mentioned, Alicia Hummel. She was killed when fishing in Vermillion, SD, but she was from Sioux falls. Shortly before, she lived in Nebraska. Maybe there are other pois, but all I know is that the case is cold.

I don't know whether the fact that she was drowned (water) is a coincidence (with Delphi), or an intention. Water is somehow present in all stories, but maybe it has to do with the hunting ground, and hiding the bodies.
But is it possible that the guy is looking for a lonely woman or unattended girl, of the certain type, and is in no way related to them, just knows Midwest? He either lived/lives there, or parents live there, but he may not be moored in one place now hence assuming he is "a local" does not give us anything.
Alicia posted about her fishing trip in Snapchat, but I think in Argus they mentioned another source of information, open. Pinterest.
Pinterest I never saw being mentioned before, but it is a source to study.
I personally think since Pinterest is such a "female" source, someone could even post/trace on his girlfriend's boards. Easier to trace potential victims.
(Pinterest is cluttered, it is really very hard to connect the dots there. But any interest boards could be a source of information.)
So here is my thought for tonight:
- the guy is a serial killer, not just a child predator
- he probably doesn't reside at Midwest, or if he does, he is in no proximity to Delphi
- but at one point, he knew MW well (parents lived there? Parents moved in MW because of the job?)
- he has the reason to visit MW, but it could be simply his hobby, fishing or hunting, or relatives, or something else. I know a person who bought several rentals in Indiana and now travels there; a totally different type, but I am now thinking, even owning a property is a good reason to travel.
- the perp either still has the relatives there, or has a job that allows to travel, or somehow has the money for plane tickets
- he might be a loner, or could have a group with similar hobby, so might occasionally have real trips with them, and sometimes, he'd "hunt" alone; his partner is either not too sharp, or scared to ask, or is simply happy when he leaves the house. I wonder if the relationship is purely financial-based.
So, regardless of poi, has anyone tried to look at it as: blonde, healthy, women, of a similar type, in Midwest? And he - he simply knows MW well.
Lyric and Elizabeth were killed in 2013; Alicia, in 2015; the Delphi girls, in 2017. Is it his cycle, or does he kill in between, too?
Any similar types disappearing in 2019 or 2021? 2011?
