Thank you for sharing this..... This also says the girls were found 50 feet from Deer Creek, 1/2 mile East from the Bridge.....mooThe article won’t let me copy and paste from my phone for some reason, but I found this interesting. They have not eliminated more then one suspect?
Delphi murders: What we still don't know two years after the slayings of 2 teenagers
While this is frustrating, I’m more angry that the grandfather and press got together. Are they trying to sabotage this case?!? (Not making an accusation, just pointing out that they aren’t helping LE by going against wishes)
Thank you!! I deleted my original post.Despite the date at the top being today’s date, the article itself has the date in February 2017. So it’s an old article.
Can’t even trust the press. Like we need anymore confusion around here!
Thanks PommyMommy. After reading the article, I got the impression this guy could be a serial killer.I haven't read the book or seen the movie but this might help:
Why 'The Shack' 2017 film was mentioned in reference to unsolved Delphi murders
LE said they cleared all local sex offenders early on. I don't know if that guy is local but since they first believed he lived outside of Delphi but in a nearby area I would think they checked him out too.Shouldn't that have been where police started? Youth pastor charged with child solicitation in Randolph County
Everyone is different. Born and raised in the Midwest, yes, I would likely be dressed as warmly as he is, especially higher up on a bridge where whatever wind exists will lower the temp further. It was like 40-something degrees!! I know I am from new Orleans where people will be breaking out coats at 60, but would yall not wear a jacket in the 40s? In the woods? That's a real question. In the 40s here, lots of people dont even want to walk out the door because they say it's too cold. I love it, but it is chilly!! So, I'm always confused by people thinking his jacket (not even a full winter coat) is too much. It seems very normal and appropriate, to me.

I’m so sorry. I don’t understand how a book about a serial killer can help someone forgive and move on. I guess I just couldn’t!My family was given the book when a family member was murdered. I read it but it was full of triggers for me but my son said it helped him deal with our tragedy. I can't really explain it before bedtimeWhen Carter mentioned it, it kind of gut punched me.
Girlfriend or wife?
Thanks. I just don’t get why he mentioned it. Maybe it wasn’t for the killer. Maybe he wanted to help the families accept and forgive for the shocks that are to come. Especially when they have had that first sketch in their heads for two years!I saw the movie last year. It is about one man's journey of redemption.
The main character has lost touch with God. He was abused as a child by his father and as a father himself he is struggling with the death of his young daughter, who was brutally murdered by a serial killer in a shack.
Many years later he receives an invitation in the mail to go back to the shack, where he meets the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
God, who is a woman, teaches him many things.
She shows him that even those who are not close to God can find Him approachable and involved, and although He loves all living things, evil can find it's way in the world. She teaches him that good can come out of tragedy. She shows him that people are not the ones in control, and we can find comfort in relinquishing all control to God. She shows him the importance of forgiveness.
It is basically an inspiring movie with religious themes. I think Carter referred to the movie as part of an explanation as to why bad things happen to good people, and to send a message to the killer and anyone who knows he is the killer. Imo
The timeline does not seem to allow for the killer to have much time abducting and then killing to young girls.Wow, I guess I had better stop talking to myself!
I don't know about his having mental illness, but I am assuming this guy has got to be pretty twisted to do such a horrible, sickening thing.
I gathered from the way Carter described the crime scene, (How you left them in the woods that day is not what they are experiencing now) that it was particularly disturbing. Maybe it was very brutal or sadistic.
At the very least the killer has a dark side that he has managed to hide from those around him. Jmo
I think this is very close to being what happened. So, what NOW has come up that made them realize this terrible error?
I think in some states therapists are mandated reporters when it comes to any homicide or sex crime if there has been a specific person and instance conveyed. If someone just said they did the crime without specifics they cannot report in a lot of cases.
Yes I know it's just an example of why anytime children are murdered the first place I'd look is the church
Thanks. I just don’t get why he mentioned it. Maybe it wasn’t for the killer. Maybe he wanted to help the families accept and forgive for the shocks that are to come. Especially when they have had that first sketch in their heads for two years!

I actually think Carter just happened to watch the movie "The Shack" because it was on Lifetime Movie Channel the night before the press conference. Comcast/Xfinity is the cable provider locally. It was aired at 8 pm Sunday night (4/21/2019). It is also available "On Demand" to rent or buy.The Shack is on Netflix here in the U.K I don’t know if it’s on in the U.S region too. It is a puzzler why it was mentioned and it’s significance.
