Yep and the fact they can not do any better with the photo means what chance do we have ?!

Given the poor quality of this photo, I don't think LE ever expected that the public would be able to recognize the culprit if they had absolutely no personal connection to the person. Only a likeness to the photo or the voice would never be enough to convict anyone anyway (thank goodness!)

But it's extremely helpful if someone's behaviour on Feb 13th or thereafter was a little off or they drew attention to themselves for other reasons and an astute observer also noticed they resembled the photo. That would give them an even more compelling reason to call in a tip. IMO

I think left handed for the same reasons others have given. I believe that is a semi-automatic pistol on his right side and a watch on his right wrist.

If he is left handed, why would he put his gun in his right-hand pocket? Do lefties think it's more fun to contort around trying to remove a gun from the right pocket with the left hand while committing a crime?

The thought was it is in a holster and easy to reach with left hand. You see the gun is facing the proper way for this theory.

I'm right handed and have worn a watch on my right wrist since I was a 12 and started wearing a watch....it just always felt right.

All true but what if the image has actually made it harder as I have seen some images of SO in that area and JL ( who I think located the bodies) and so many people could be BG.


So how many people (with good intentions i am sure ) have rung up to say it could be so and so because of that picture and it's actually slowed down the investigation ?

Sure but look at the supposed outline of the gun on his right side. Makes sense if in a holster or inside pocket he can grab the butt of the gun with his left hand. (Is that what it's called? Not gun smart here...yet).

I don't think it is in a pocket but inside the jacket for a cross body draw. That is, the butt is in easy reach of his left hand. Probably in a holster. moo

Didn't police say that his shirt is sticking out beneath his coat?

I believe IIRC some have theorized that BG is wearing a Conceal/Carry Jacket or a shoulder holster that shows the gun on the right side of his abdomen with grip of gun at an angle for a lefty to grab with eass.

Lol... I have never have claim too him being right or left handed that's near about impossible to see.. You couldn't tell if I was left handed or right handed if my hands were in my pocket..

I always saw the jacket as snapped, not zipped. And, I'm not saying there is an inside pocket. But either way he could always open it. moo

I am from from the U.K. So we are totally anti guns and it's illegal to have one.

So with that in mind would it be normal to carry a gun day to day if you was just randomally out for a walk somewhere like Indiana which seems quite rural in some parts ?

Sure, I agree that the light/shadow on the right hand pocket suggests that there is something rectangular in his right pocket. Going forward from there, I think it's absolutely impossible to say whether he is right or left handed.
