Not intending to be disrespectful but identifying suspects is certainly involved in the course of a police investigation.

Feel free to correct me but I think what you might by saying is ---
"you also have to keep in mind that LE rarely PUBLICLYidentifies a suspect until the time of arrest."

In other words, LE do not issue press releases telling us so-and-so are definite suspects. But they certainly do identify suspects during the course of their internal investigations. And that they've told us numerous times that RL is NOT a suspect means his name is not on the list of suspects for this case.

"Identifying BG as a suspect was unusual. "

I sort of disagree. Sure, LE says they don't know the identity of BG. But it's quite common when someone is seen fleeing from a crime the suspect becomes someone who fits that general description of that person. In this case LE has determined their suspect is someone who appears similar to image in the photo that they've released.

LE has also said they have other information that hasn't been released so when they say RL isn't a suspect, they know more than us. I sometimes get the impression some people think RL MUST be a suspect if they think he resembles the image, and LE must be blind or stupid or something worse. The existence of RL has been known since the very onset and let's not think LE needs us to be critical of how they do their work.

What this case has taught me is anyone remotely connected with a tragic incident should not publicly speak or allow themselves to be photographed by the media. Seriously.

they typically do not identify suspects publicly during the course of a murder investigation.

Can you explain what thread or page 25 is? Do you mean to go back to thread 25?
TIA
i think they are meaning page 25 of the scanner thread.

What if it's a smart pedometer like a Fitbit and not a watch?

One of my POI wears a silver bracelet on his right wrist in just about every picture I've seen.

Nor do they repeatedly and adamantly deny someone is a suspect either. "typically"

Bringing in a new photo....

A little background on what I've done. I've lightened it with Microsoft Office Picture Manager, then saved, lightened again, then saved, etc. etc. Throughout the process, I was enlarging to about 200%, snipping with the snipping tool, then saving, then repeating the process. At the very end, I adjusted the saturation.

Appears to be a better view of perp's face or at least 1/2 of it.

What also seems to appear is some type of patch in the middle of the hat. Similar to this.

You had me going there.
Ps. I am 24 pages back trying to catch up.

Surely if it was RL it would of made much more sense to leave them in the water than his property?

I can only assume by the assertion that RL is guilty, that those that subscribe to this theory, besides any logical motive beyond "got angry so brutally murdered two girls in a manner that shook seasoned LE. Then went to buy fish." Leaving the bodies laying openly in his back yard. Then somehow evaded anyone in the neighborhood where he has lived for 50 years identifying his image or voice. As well as LE who are still openly seeking BG. I again implore those to subscribe to this to cite one case in the annals of crime, where a murderer left his victims openly, not buried, not hidden in their back yard.
do you have a link from the media that says the bodies were left in the open? Have they said that they were not covered in any way?

Read Ember123 above for an interesting link to an interesting picture on Scanner Thread page 25. Could the answer be plain as the nose on that face? Quite possibly, but, err, I IMO of course! MOOOOOOOOOO!

My view of the scanner thread only has 9 pages. Please post a time posted or a post #.
TIA

Page #'s are not helpful, lots of folks go to settings and change post amounts on each page, i have mine set to 50 post per page. It's best to give post #. Jmo

A lot of times cemeteries are tended by a local group of volunteers forming a cemetery committee, not necessarily only one person is involved in keeping it operational and tidy. But I have no idea how the cemetery in Delphi is operated.

Do you have reason to know there's an actual "cemetery worker"?

I think several posters have asked about this. There are internet videos comparing two different local men (not RL) with BG. One of the men appears to be JL, who has said in TV interviews that he was interviewed by police. Some on SM have alleged that JL is the caretaker at the cemetary, but I haven't seen any confirmation of that.

Do you think the girls were at the location they were found at all along or is it possible they was placed there later that night ?

Does anyone know if they were found on the bank of the river or more in the leaves on land?

  • #497
Why no, do you have a link that says they were hidden? Hmm this person looks like BG.....but hasn't been cleared publicly

i think we provide links here to show something as fact. I don't know either way, because the best to my knowledge they have not said. You seem to firmly believe they were in the open. i don't believe the person in your picture had their place searched with LE saying that one outcome was that they could be cleared.

That is the problem, isn't it, we don't know how the girls were found, exactly. So unfortunately no one has a link to prove their point. Sigh.

Still, to me, even if they were buried or covered, it couldn't have been by too much because they were found fairly quickly. I think the point is that, if they were buried or covered, they weren't buried deep enough so as to never be found.

My question would be then, did the perp want them to be found?

Possible, there is much of this crime I can not put a logical flow to.
