I think RL looks like he has a shrunken head. It seems too small for the body. Also, we have no scale or heights so we cannot go by that really IMO.

JUST MOOOOOOOOOOOO:

I agree that we cannot go by this as we have no frame of reference as to height. RL is tall but looks shrunken here. IIRC this side-by-side was done to compare arm positions, although that didn't really help in the end as the arms are mirrored, so not the same. RL's jacket has a glove holder on the one side which is why the arm is higher.

I notice right away that RL is not only big in the belly area but also thick-chested. He fills out his clothes from the top of his chest on down so his clothes are always tight throughout the whole chest area.

Looking at this pic of BG I see lots of room across the chest area. The jacket is loose-fitting at the top half of his chest, filling out at the bottom.

Also, RL walks shoulders back (probably to compensate for the weight at the front - like some pregnant woman do, I know I did) and BG has shoulders rounded forward and looks comfortable in that position (not compensating), so whatever weight he has in that area is not causing him to walk differently.

Oh, last point, I just noticed that RL's thighs are thicker. He has very little slack in his jeans on the lifted leg compared to BG. Hadn't noticed that before.

Actually this comparison helps me to see that these two are not the same person. imo

I think the "down the hill" audio is actually taken from a video, or a voicemail. When was the last time any of you used the voice recording feature on your phone? This is MOO.

Proof you never know what another human being is capable of even if you know them, even if they hold a respected position professionally and don't look like they're capable of evil. Just saw this on Twitter.

I think LE has stated it came from the video, IIRC.

Stop hiding in lurk mode and get vilified with everyone else with a differing opinion.

It is beyond me that some people continue to ignore the fact that LE will have every.single.piece.of.evidence.there.is.to.have and that the assumption that a single blurry photo will make or break this case is nuts to me. IMO They have it all. Everything. No one is going to be arrested based on a blurry photo, thank $deity, IMO.

I was just wondering if the suspect profile has been released by the FBI. If not, wondering what would be taking so long to present this very important information to the public. MOO

If you read the nitty gritty details, though, the technology is actually comparing the existing pixel data against other pictures to make a new image. It's still a best-guess made by a computer and this needs to be interpreted by actual humans.

EDIT: I only know this because I follow this stuff religiously because of work and personal interest and I was excited to read this when ars did that article. I'm not trying to be a Mr. Smarty Pants! Believe me, I want a zoom-enhance technology as much as anyone!

I'm pestering a friend of mine who is a professional photographer. The guy has a good eye.

He emailed me about Google Brain technology zoom technology, but unfortunately it was a one-off project. It's too bad they can't develop it and release at least to US LE.

https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2017/02/google-brain-super-resolution-zoom-enhance/

The software basically takes pixels from its nearest neighbor to form a resemblance of what the person should/could look like.

I recall Alexis McAdams in the Doug Carter DNA video say they were working on a profile but I haven't seen one. I expect it's because there is no need to pursue it or release it to the public because they know who murdered the girls, IMO.

I agree. Even the two pictures don't look like the same man. They're so different that people were actually speculating that each one was a separate man, wearing the exact same clothing! That's saying something about the extreme difference in opinions about BG's appearance, if someone is willing to entertain the idea that two men dressed alike and then stuffed their coats in the exact same way with a white thing sticking out the top.

Every time I think I can get onboard with a theory about the appearance, based on what is seen on one image, I can't totally commit to that belief, because the second image doesn't show the same thing. I WILL say that's not the case with the nose, though. It's either distorted in both pictures or BG actually does have a big schnoz.

I wonder that LE put out those two very different looking pictures. It is confusing to the public for sure. Maybe they thought that BG looked like both during different parts of the video? IDK.

Still, seems that they decided in the end that the first pic is the one that is more of a true likeness of him as they stopped using the older looking one in a matter of few days:

I also believe that if we are going to compare anyone's photos to BG, then we should maybe use the one LE has up, and not that older looking one, imo.

It is a guess sort of scenario, but it would be great if it was fully developed by now. When you use the technology side compared with the human side, then sometimes you have good or bad results. But it's at least something more to work with.

Excellent question. It seems they'd be rushing to put out anything they can. They are still asking for anyone who sees someone who looks/sounds like Bridge Guy to call the tip line.

Do you think a similar program is what the FBI used to create this image that's a closer look than just a blurry photo from a video taken 70-80 feet away? It's my opinion that's what they did, the program creates additional pixels and also why it's totally unreliable to zoom in closer.

I don't think so because it's guess work and would be inadmissible in the court. imho.

And didn't someone state a while ago that the FBI doesn't always release the profile to the public?

So you mean all that "zoom-enhance technology" on "24" that Jack Bauer used was Hollywood fantasy trickery?:gasp:And are you saying that Jack didn't use said technology to save the world single-handedly season after season? :gaah: I feel cheated!

Just saying that Lib's pic may have had different back.
IMO Why would LE want us to think he was on the bridge if he was not on the bridge? Why would LE say that a crime was about to occur so Libby was taking that video? If this dude was walking in Wallmart why on earth would LE try and mislead the public? They want to catch this guy, not try and make a guessing game to the public. IMO this video, that was made into a still, was taken on the bridge aprox. 70 feet from Libby.

I for one have said from the begging that the photo released of BG was not done so that random people on websleuths and social media could possibly match it to another random photo of an individual. The Image was released so that somebody that knew BG could identify them. I highly doubt anyone here is more qualified to match photos of random individuals than LE is. I still shutter to think how often LE has probably had to waste time taking tips from people on the internet saying, "I saw a picture of so and so online and he looks like BG". Insert LE eye roll here......MOO

I agree. I believe the ISP and FBI were vague in their references to him. I always took this to mean they were never looking for us to look at details. They were looking more at gait, posture, demeanor, bulk and voice. Although, I am always pulled toward the details. I think it's only human. I also wonder if they added details to complete a picture for the effort of capturing this suspect. MOO

BBM. I am starting to agree with that statement ab01 and here's why I think that too. As I have been working on the photos for my own satisfaction, I have seen MANY areas where LE could have cleaned up the pictures. Heck, I have fixed one of the most glaring anomalies on BG's face and that was super easy to do. So, why wouldn't LE do that? I think you are right: LE thinks that whoever BG is, someone who KNOWS him, perhaps intimately (ick), will recognize him immediately.

You are right, LE didn't ask the public to pick pictures of people off the internet or news reports and see if they can find a match and turn it in. Good point.
