I read in an article very early on in the case that LE wanted info on a man with his right hand in his pocket, among other things. Does anyone else recall this?

Could investigators know this was a habit of BG's, or have knowledge that he had cuts on his right hand? TIA.

Just wanted to bring it up because it has bothered me, especially when I could not find the link. (And felt funny posting about this without one.)

That's what I have always thought. But if that's the Creek below she must be facing North because the creek only goes under the North End right. So the body location as we look at this pic would be down the left on this side of the Creek that we are on. She must be facing and walking North in this pic.

That's incorrect. The creek is much closer to the north end of the bridge. The bridge spans north-south and Abby is walking south. She's walked from the north part over the creek and is now over land/trails that run under the bridge on the south side. Check out some of the maps and you'll see.

Maybe in the longer video LE has they can see something regarding BG right hand or he never takes it out of his pocket. That could mean BG has something he doesn't want to show or he is handicapped in some way. Remember when people also said he might have a limp? This would narrow down suspects.

Some speculated early on he might be missing a finger, or parts of fingers.

If BG is RL, then BG has a moustache. If not then it's a mouth but we can't see it as it is right under his big nose.

This is why I am asking because the Creek looks to be flowing right under Abby in the photo.

Ok I think it's just the perspective that has me looking at it like the creek is right under her. Don't mind me. Back to that ant investigation.

The photo of Abby on the bridge was uploaded to the story when it was taken and followers could have seen it as soon as it was posted but in this copy it was 7 hrs after it was posted/taken, probably when it was provided to MSM? Am i stating that right?
Are SC times always approximate, like 7 hrs instead of ex: 7 hrs, 12 minutes?
Do you routinely use SC as your camera?
If so are you adept at also pulling up your standard phone camera as well? I ask because I noticed the video on SC requires you to hold it and even so it is very short. Since I assume Libby made the video covertly she would need to make as few moves as possible to access the camera. Perhaps something like double click the home button.

It is now 3:44 pm. I posted this photo to my snap story at 2:24 pm. And the time in the top left says 1 hour ago. So the time stamp is down to the second, up to one minute. Down to the minute up to one hour. Then only gives the hour after it goes past the one hour mark.
So the screenshot is from Libby's snap story sometime between 7 hours - 7 hours and 59 minutes after she posted it to her story.

I hope you don't mind me jumping of your post but your thoughts help confirm my belief that Libby used her regular phone video system (not through snapchat) and that the video was stored on her phone and that LE has it. As I have stated before, I also do not believe that the video was stored on any kind of cloud because of the timing.

LE would have been able to get access to all of Libby's account info (including anything on a cloud) the night of the 13th. I would certainly think that the family would be handing over any account info to LE voluntarily for them to look at, especially as the night wore on. If they did access that video per a cloud then they would have known exactly what danger those girls would have been in. I then cannot see how LE would have then made a statement saying they had no reason to suspect that the girls were in any danger other than exposure to the elements.

Another confirmation for me is that experts in the field of extraction were brought in to retrieve the video footage from the phone. I am assuming again that LE has the phone but it must have been damaged to a degree that made the video not playable.



After you wonderful sleuthers answered my final lingering questions regarding those snapchat photos, I feel even more convinced of the above.

When I searched earlier for a time for the release of the BG images, the Fox59 site they were released around 7PM on the 15th. I think The phone was recovered, which lead to the video and audio, and then LE released the images on the 15th.

MOO is they recovered the SD card from the phone, which revealed the video. Either the phone was found on Libby, or somewhere along the path taken from the SE end of the bridge, to where they were found. They were found at noon on the 14th, so between then and the release of the images on the 15th, the SD card had to have been recovered, and the video and audio scrutinized by the FBI and ISP.

At midnight on the 13th, LE suspended the search, and said they believed the girls were not in danger.

Early on, we all theorized as to where the images came from. Phone? Trail camera (that was my first thought)?

I think there's a possibility Libby used the selfie cam on her phone, which explains some of the image quality issues.

i think that fact that they did a search of his house with probable cause that they would find something connected to the double homicide is a pretty good indication that they had their suspicions.

Maybe or maybe not. LE can think ahead with a few ideas and since the girls were found on RL's property then they felt they had a probable cause to gain a warrant. Other warrants were given as well to other people.

I agree about Libby using the "selfie camera" view. Meaning she may have had her back to him and took the video over her shoulder but was acting like she was aiming the camera up toward the trees a little but actually making sure the camera view cleared her shoulder and she could clearly see BG approaching. The girls were probably uneasy having him out there and felt their pulse quicken and felt that uneasy gut feeling kicking in. Who would ever think this guy was approaching to attack them? The girls were young and had no reason to think the UNTHINKABLE was about to happen. So Libby turned the video on to at least have proof of the creepy guy in case he DID do something to them [molest them, yell at them, try to push them off the bridge...something]. Her gut instinct was accurate. Very wise young lady to sense danger and act on it.

Thank you for the timing experiments. We can pin down the time of the phone recovery more accurately now. The light relief was welcome too.
