So, why no profile from LE yet?

BBM and that is precisely what we don't know and what would give every sleuther that morsel which we could base a sound theory on.

The only part of your quote I wiggle on is that Libby & Abby were unknown/unfortunate victims.

That is the part and parcel of most of the wiggle room. I am not of the catfish camp though because I think that one of the first things that LE does is employ the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and they are the best. Not that they would even say publicly if there was or was not a footprint even if unknown.

But I get that.

Man I so wish Foxfire (deceased) was here...I really think he would have some great insight.

Pedophilia and Psychological Profiling
http://uspp.csbsju.edu/crimpsych/CPSG-6.htm

"Mysoped child molester and killer

1. Sadist; has made the connection between sexual gratification and personal violence

2. Usually male

3. Typically the victim is a stranger to the aggressor

4. May stalk the child rather than use a form of seduction; may take victim by force using his size as an advantage

5. Abducts children from playgrounds, schools, shopping centers, and other places children gather

6. Has no “love” for children; only interested in causing harm and eventual death to a vulnerable victim

7. Crime is premeditated and ritualized

8. Example would be Albert Fish"

Other than Lizzie and Lyric, what other dual child/teen murder cases do we have listed here on websleuths, and if the perp(s) has been apprehended, what charactersitics, information, etc could we possibly use as a comparison for possible insight? Of course this doesn't guarantee certain similarities as each person and case is different....

Why isn't KS a possible suspect? Does anyone know what his alibi is? I see that some have been admonished for considering him, but does he fit the general description of BG or not?

BBM - thanks for the list M.

Just how many children do gather at the bridge area is what I'd like to know.
How many and how often.
What are the odds of finding teens alone there at a certain time of day or day of the week.
I know their friends say they go there but how many?
Enough that the perp felt someone would be there that day?
Has he scoped out the area on the weekend, snow holidays, school holidays, etc?
Does he see who drops the kids off or how they usually get there to determine how much time he would have?
Is he familiar with the residents of the private properties surrounding the bridge to know who is home and when?
If crossing the bridge was planned, he knew precisely where to cross

Just some of the questions that popped into my head.

Taylor Placker & Skyla Whitaker immediately came to mind.

(O/T, wow KayElJay...thank you, I definitely would like to dig into this for academic purposes! Interesting cod was via gun...

"OKEMAH, Okla. — A 25-year-old man was charged Friday with first-degree murder in the fatal shootings of two young girls found on a dirt road near Weleetka in 2008.
Thirteen-year-old Taylor Placker and 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker were killed after going for a walk on an unpaved road less than a half-mile from Placker’s home. They had been headed for Bad Creek Bridge, where they planned to wade through waist-high weeds to the river bank to collect shells and pebbles." )

( Eta: possibly 2 perps? One not apprehended? Don't want to get off topic, but interesting...

I wasn't trying to admonish anyone but I was pointing out why he came to LE's attention.

My question would be why should he be considered a suspect?

LE stated the reason he was called in as a tip is because the person felt he had gotten away with another murder all these years. He confessed pretty quickly. He had also been suspected of the death when it happened 10 years ago.

His motive was financial gain IMO.

That's shocking I can understand how he is living in plain sight and not drawing attention to himself. I wish we could do more to get the sketch out it needs to be put up in bars, gun ranges, golf courses and strip clubs even places where guys go.

Oh and The Hunt with John Walsh!

I hate even asking this question, but its important i think. In the scenario of two children being killed...what specific role does the second child play in this sick scenario?

This signature of the two children and the profile associated with that is exactly how this Perp will be caught, IMO. They operate in deep, dark, cloistered networks online, but he will be found. I SO wish he was being arrested in Texas...

Somehow,I get the feeling, LE is real close. I really hope so!

Keep doing your work Abby and Libby!

MOO

This makes me wonder...in similar cases (as much as we can infer, children in an isolated location), has a perp's first murder, one of escalation from assault, ever been 2 victims? Hope this makes sense...let me rephrase...has a murderer ever chosen 2 child victims in a first time murder?

In England, Ian Huntley killed 2 young girls - Jessica Chapman and Holly Wells. He never admitted how or why he murdered them. Their bodies were burnt and found some days later, so as far as I can remember, so the cause of death was never discovered or disclosed. He hadn't previously been convicted of a child murder - although that isn't absolute proof this was his first. They weren't in a secluded location, but were walking around the village where they lived and he invited both girls into his home. They knew his girlfriend as she worked at their school.

I would think using the library computers would be risky. Camera's everywhere, signing in, having to use the library card during the sign-in. It would be pretty easy to trace. jmo

No need to use library card to sign in at our library. No need to even give a name. Just pick up a pass with login code and there you go. We have no idea who they are. Many are logged onto FB and other social media sites. Public libraries with computers are so helpful to people traveling.. but perhaps also to criminals and others up to no good. :(

And re: library use. Most small libraries do NOT have cameras. We sure don't.

Margarita25, not knowing your on-line friend Foxfire, you might go back through his comments, or other on-line publications (blog posts, etc.), and look for patterns of analysis that you can follow to make your own. Analytical modeling and pattern analysis is something we can potentially learn from others by mindfully working with their published materials.
