Homicide investigation closes I-65 near Whitestown

This is local to me. I-65, even at 4am, is heavily traveled with huge amounts of truck traffic on/ off in that area. Many logistics companies and a massive Amazon distribution center.

Says she is from IL, but no other details.

LOTS of traffic cameras in the area- so I suspect there is video.

I've found a FB page with that exact spelling of her name and the person is from Dolton, IL. Actually went to the same high school as my nephew. She appears to have a young child if it is the same person.

The FOX story has now been updated to say the vehicle had several bullet holes. Originally it said simply 'shot several times'.

OK- I might be crazy - but one of the stories was updated and contained the phrase 'bullets were found outside the vehicle' and now it's gone.

I reached out to the Whitestown PD to ask if this case was being handled by them, the Boone County Sheriff or the Indiana State Police. (They were doing a holiday FB live)

They responded (almost immediately) that it is a WPD case and they are working on it round-the-clock.
