How can it not be relevant that Kristine is a compulsive liar and serial exaggerator? Given the wild accusations she is leveling at the girl? Prosecution can read a few lines from her book and establish that she is totally untrustworthy in about five minutes. And I'm gonna assume that the evidence needed to file felony criminal charges would need to be at least as good as the evidence needed to convince one judge in probate court in an ex parte decision. (Gitana?) That prosecutor has a 95% conviction rate. He's not filing charges willy nilly.

With respect to the doctor(s) and mental health professional(s), they had a professional responsibility to evaluate the patient’s condition, not rely on a lay person’s observations.
RSBM.

Do you believe this is a professional medical evaluation or a lay person's observation?

Maybe the doctor is also a licensed private investigator, IDK.

After Natalia tried to push her adoptive mother into an electric fence in 2012, she was committed to a state-run mental institution. At that facility, she confessed to faking her childhood. The Staff at Larue Carter Hospital in Indianapolis said that Natalia showed no remorse for her homicidal tendencies, and that she described her behavior as fun.

From The Daily Caller- unable to link fir some reason

Now read this article and remember what I said up thread ....how many “facts” are incongruent to what we THINK WE KNOW and contradict what was reported before?

Father facing abandonment charges insists he won't go to prison

Father whose adopted 6-year-old was 22-year-old woman 'doesn't believe' he will go to prison | Daily Mail Online
In this article, it is claimed the Barnetts adopted her straight from her biological family, which we know to be untrue. The Daily Mail is living up to its usual standards of reporting, I see.

Wow. Michael claims the adoption agency COLD CALLS them? Tells them “We have researched you. We think you should adopt Natalia”. Are you kidding me? COLD CALLED THEM?!? This predates their book (April 2013). This predates the 60 Minutes show featuring Jacob (the 60min episode came about after Jacob was a co-author on a physics publication in 2011). Umm, how would this adoption agency Know who they were? What was available to “research” them?
This defies belief

This is why I find the Video clips of interviews to be so important. Hear their words ourselves whenever possible.

My point exactly.

If prosecutors can prove they KNOWINGLY ditched a minor - they should be buried UNDER THE PRISON. I can’t imagine a more diabolical plan to hurt a child.
Neither should draw another breath of free air.

Not only that, but the doctor(s) and mental health professional(s) who helped perpetuate the fraud should face justice, as well.

With respect to the doctor(s) and mental health professional(s), they had a professional responsibility to evaluate the patient’s condition, not rely on a lay person’s observations. Particularly if they were recommending something as drastic as re-aging her over 10 years. And yes, I feel the same way in Munchausen cases.
ETA: I am not convinced that the doctor’s opinion was based solely in the mother’s observations. But if it was, then he failed at his professional responsibility and he should be held responsible for that.

Family Charged For Abandoning Adopted Ukrainian Child Who Turned Out To Be Crazed Adult Dwarf

“After Natalia tried to push her adoptive mother into an electric fence in 2012, she was committed to a state-run mental institution. At that facility, she confessed to faking her childhood, the Daily Mail reports.”

In other words - they are re reporting what Kristine told the Daily Mail.

“Staff at Larue Carter Hospital in Indianapolis said that Natalia showed no remorse for her homicidal tendencies, and that she described her behavior as fun.”

Then those staff should be losing their jobs for breaking patient confidentiality. Or this is sloppy reporting, and *Kristine* said that they said it.

You make an excellent point that we don’t have all the facts and we should be careful of jumping to conclusions. We also need to be careful of taking the repetition of information as confirmation of its quality.

Yeah, I don’t even know where to start with that, because it sounds like absolute nonsense. Why would he make such a claim?

And Natalia lived on her own for YEARS...eyeroll

Apologies, I've misread the meaning in your post.

That state run hospital mentioned no longer exists- building was demolished and a new better facility replaced it.

The new Daily Mail article references an interview on (CBS?) This Morning. Has anyone found that interview?

Michael explained that despite the terror she had forced his family to endure, he provided Natalia with her own flat and a nurse to ensure she was able to live on her own, which she did successfully for six years.

He said: 'She lived there on her own while we visited her. We hired a nurse to make sure she was capable of living on her own, which she was.

'When she was discharged in 2012 she had stated in her papers she did not want to have contact with us anymore.

'After a year of living on her own, my son got an offer to attend university in Canada, so we sold or gave away all our possessions and we moved to Canada.

'Her lease was up on her first apartment and it was within two blocks of all services she needed

Now - there was also a NURSE

Contrast with Kristine’s claim that she was discharged to a halfway house and then from there made homeless by the State. I suspect Michael is gearing up to claim that he was mislead by Kristine, and then throwing her under the bus.

Why is he sitting there telling such lies? It took me minutes of Facebook creeping to find out that she was being taken care of by the Mans family from August 2013 up to present day. Honestly expects us to believe he thought she was alone for those 6 years? He met the Mans family at the guardianship hearing FFS.

It’s a British show on ITV. Here;

So she lived in her first apartment for a year, they visited twice a week and also had a home health aide visiting regularly according to Michael Barnett...she was “discharged” from what exactly I’m unsure of. Natalia put in writing she wanted nothing to do with them & zero contact

Yet the Barnett’s, according to them, got her a second Apartment ...is the one she was evicted from for non-payment of rent.

If they can prove that ...and I believe they can. It’s a done deal. Natalia is an adult.

That’s obviously a mistake by the author of the article- watch the video interview
