Sorry but every time I read those last sentences I can't help but think of the internet meme "Why do you hate me?" I'm not convinced it was the Puerto Rican authorities who released the video to La Comay but if it turns out that they did then I'd question their motive. IOW, what would they gain from it?

For that matter, other than someone independently releasing the video for money, who benefits most? Both Winkleman and SA's defense attorney keep saying it "proves" that SA thought the window was closed but I'm not buying it at all. It's the lawyers and the family who insist SA said he thought there was glass but I remember an article early on had him first saying something like "I dropped my child" or something similar.

So who, apart from the PR prosecutor had hard copies of those videos?

Actually the videos could have come directly from Winkleman unknowingly since they looked telecined. A reporter invited to view the video could have gone in with a hidden cam and recorded it.

This has never crossed my mind before but after seeing what he did, my question is: does he have any history of mental illness?

I've been on La Comay's Facebook site where their video is posted, along with many comments in Spanish. It only takes a few moments to use Google translate to read the comments in English and it is very interesting. One comment is that they are glad the incident happened in PR rather than in the US, because they believe that they value children's lives to a greater degree than in the US, and that Chloe will be more likely to get true justice there. And there are theories expressed about the case.

Interesting. Can you share?

Please don't give the Defense any ideas :D They've already come up with several different explanations/excuses for SA's reckless actions; they don't need more suggestions for his irrational behavior

If SA does has a diagnosed "mental illness", why on earth was he charged with looking after Chloe?

Omg. I watched both videos. IMO, ugh. I am wondering if he was tired of running around after her & just lost it for a moment. He obviously, he knew that was an open window!

Him crouching down with her by the column beforehand is a little odd. What did he say to her then? Because right after that, she ran towards the windows.

Other than that, I have to say I thought the video would be higher quality. I think the poor quality leaves room for debate, unfortunately.

I noticed how he crouched down against that post as though he was tired of just ‘sick of running after her’. I agree with you, I got that feeling of he was slow to react when she ran off again.

BBM Why in the world would he DO that???

IMO, he willfully and purposely dangled her out the window. After he hung out the window, looked down and saw how high up he was! Why he did this is a question that PR needs to investigate more. SA seriously has something wrong with him.

Someone could have a history of showing off while they are buzzed.
Someone could lose their footing & fall.. thus let go of what they are
suppose to be holding on to.
Someone could blame everyone & everything else in order to get away with it IMO.

I need better video. To me it looks like his arms straighten out.
I can make out him looking down, but for the life of me, I don’t see him putting her out of the window. What am I missing??

Agreed.
That was a little disconcerting.
Maybe it's the custom for PR news broadcasts ?
for anonymity purposes? the puppet is in female clothing but the voice is male...just kinda odd for a news broadcast....if it's a news broadcast?

Omg I had forgotten the awning - I admire your willingness to document all of this - I’m now a Little worried that this will be so much harder for me to do knowing what we all now know to be true ... seeing all this truly makes it real and if this happened to my child -I wouldn’t be able to speak IMO let alone do several interviews and engage in a very public lawsuit - omg this is beyond awful
JMO

Also the supposedly last picture of Chloe standing alone near the pool. How appropriate was that pic with no one around where now the video shows a crowd.
I am disgusted by the manipulative lies.

I see him bend down pick her up and lift her up. She is easier to spot if you look for her little head. Poor baby.

OMG! Is it possible that Grandpa played a "scare Chloe" game by dangling her out the window to get her to behave? Clearly, SA did not have the energy or skill to look after an energetic toddler who was excited about exploring a new environment. Why was Grandpa charged with caring for Chloe singlehandedly on a cruise ship?

I’m on deck 11 at the moment sleuthing ;) and because it’s our last day there’s a pool party, a bar in the same location.
Everyone has their backs to the window and I must admit if someone was holding a child up to a window I wouldn’t see it happen.

Incident Timeline

As I said earlier I went and downloaded the civil complaint just because I wanted to read some of the family's claims. I'm not going to go into the "this is why RC is responsible" stuff because it's not really relevant to the criminal case. But there is something curious about the timeline that they claim in the filing that I hadn't previously heard. Again this comes from WIEGAND vs ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES LTD docket # 1:19-cv-25100-DLG in the Floria Southern District:

- at approximately 1:15 p.m., the family boarded the vessel in San Juan, Puerto Rico for a 7-night Southern Caribbean cruise. Upon boarding, the family went to the Windjammer Café for lunch.

- approximately 2:40 p.m, mom and Chloe get changed and go up to deck 11 to play in the pools/splash pad

- "At or around 3:50 p.m., Mrs. Schultz Wiegand needed to go help with an issue related to the cruise, and as such, Mr. Anello came up to the H2O Zone on Deck 11 of the vessel to supervise Chloe"

- Shortly after 4 p.m, SA and Chloe go to the windows and the incident occurs.

----

IIRC hasn't the story always been that the family was at dinner when this happened? There was no previous mention of any issue 'related to the cruise'. It makes me wonder if THIS is really why the parents are insisting that it's RC that is to blame, because if mom hadn't had to go deal with whatever, SA would never have been left alone with her and she'd still be alive.

If it's allowed I'll post scans of the timeline parts of the court docs to show what I'm talking about. But I'm really curious now to see if the baseline statements of fact between the criminal and civil case line up or make wildly different claims

Sounds pretty ignorant to me. And in what way is no jail time true justice?

I plan to copy your posts to the media thread tomorrow once your translation is complete - then I will be out on the cruise so my hope is that others will keep our media thread updated please - I know we have many faithful sleuthers and a lot of guests following this for justice for Chloe

Ok. I will consolidate it into one post of the most relevant parts and leave my own comments out.
