Found Deceased IN - Jacqueline Watts, 33, Columbus, 3 March 2017

Could she have been pulled over by an imposter police officer?

Not according to the post #132 above...it sounds like a different case

Never mind I found. Guy tried to kill himself and changed his mind after he deeply cut himself

The journalist asked the question at the end of the presser, if LE could elaborate on what they meant by speculating and social media.

LE responded by stating yes, he could, and went on to discuss SM spreading incorrectly that a man had been seen coming out of the woods bloody.

He stated that there was a different crime, in another place, that a man was bloody in the woods, and it spread like wildfire that it was related to this case.

So what crime in another place was he referencing?

Well, it looks exactly like the area that Libby & Abby and Lyric & Elizabeth were found.

WTH

I agree about the age differential. I had only briefly heard about Jacqueline being missing, and came to investigate it since the proximity to the 2 girls murders is within geographical range.

To be fair, most Midwestern states are filled with rivers, streams, lakes, wooded areas, bridges, etc. So it's not super surprising to hear of crimes (or accidents) taking place near them.

Apparently her autposy is scheduled for Monday and LE are still asking for people to call in with tips. No one has officially released a statement discussing cause of death/manner of death.

Bloody man? This case. It was more of that SM rumor garbage. I don't use SM for any crime stuff. Too many losers starting and perpetuating rumors, lies ETC.

Someone posted an article on Libby and Abbys thread about a man that attempted suicide in the woods, he called 911 and was taken to hospital in critical condition but it sounds like there was a lot of blood. MOO is speculation on SM may have wondered if it was linked to the bridge suspect then maybe it all got mixed up and snowballed. I'll look for the link

ETA: Here is the link, also this was the 13th Feb but you know what SM and rumours are like... http://www.theindychannel.com/news/crime/indiana-conservation-officer-finds-saves-life-of-suicidal-man-alone-in-the-woods

From Presser:

- Many more questions than answers

- Stress that there has been alot of misinformation spread on social media. Please think twice before you post information on social media and other online outlets

-This is a death investigation, and not all information can be released

-Inquiries from even the National News Outlets on this investigation, and that did help get her case out there

-Her body was found on a sandbar 1 mile west of the media staging area from last night

-Thanking natoinal media and all the various LE agencies

-LE looks really, really distraught (MOO - this is not a suicide)

-Doing an autopsy

-Investigation is looking at every angle

-LE has received a number of tips that they are following up on, and want anyone who did see her or her car to please contact them

-Not commenting on whether she left her vehicle willingly or not

-Vehicle was running, and she had her four way flashers on

-Not certain if dogs were dropped off or not

-If you seen anything out of line, no matter how small please call

-Report made that someone came out of the woods bloody and that was completely inaccurate. That incident was occuring somehwere else in the state, and that social media misinformation was seen by over 200,000 people in a very short period of time, and caused ALOT of problems in the investigation

-Officers were out all night working, and now they are supporting the family, and making sure they get the investigation right, they have a number of officers working on the case

-Crime rate in Columbus is way below the national average

-Obligation to conduct a thorough investigation.

-LE will be at the back of the room for questions off camera

Not certain the dogs where dropped off or not? Not certain at all or the officer answering the Q was not certain?

I wonder if it was a staged accident by a perpetrator. I expect that LE will check her vehicle thoroughly. MOO

<modsnip>RIP Jacqueline :rose: My thoughts and prayers to her loved ones. The world needs more loving and compassionate people like her :(

I think a person staged an accident, or being in need of help. I think she got out to help. She went back to her car for her phone. Opened the passenger door... got whacked on the head, and stuffed into the perps car. He then drove to the wooded park area and killed her.

Eerily similar to other recent crime scenes. Secluded area near water and woods.

Hard to tell if this is a small dam or low bridge by google map image. But given where police car (red star) is parked and news release saying sandbar (blue circle) I speculate this is where she was found. Sad situation.

I just thought of something. Over 15+ years ago, the mother of one of my students dropped him off at elementary school, dropped her twins off at daycare and then approached a very high large bridge over a major waterway. She threw the car in park, put hazards on and ran and jumped off the bridge. A police officer witnessed it and said there was no stopping her; she didn't hesitate.

It could be suicide and the family friend story a deflection off the true nature of her death. Maybe her family doesn't want everyone to know...

I don't necessarily believe this, but thought I would post it. It doesn't explain the open passenger side door.

Hi! This is my first post. I found something interesting that says she was found on a sandbar in a park.

The Columbus Police Department say officers found Jacqueline Watts' body Saturday morning on a sandbar by the Flatrock River in the city's Noblitt Park. Authorities say they'll wait for autopsy results before commenting on a possible cause of death.

Here are photos of that park with a sandbar.

I have to admit this visual is similar and creepy. But I don't want to jump to any unfounded conclusions until the autopsy is complete and LE can confirm for sure that there was or was not foul play.

Thanks, GG. In looking at those pics, she may never have gotten wet or drowned.

Like you, I certainly don't want to jump to any conclusions; however, you can't help but experience deja vu when lookin at that photo, IMO.

Some drifters walk railroad tracks and maybe some walk along rivers...
